2025 DRAGON CON PARADE: Route & How To Watch At Home

By  |

Dragon Con is in full swing and the cosplayers are top notch. A great place to people watch and see the best cosplay is at the famous Dragon Con Parade. Atlanta’s largest and most colorful Dragon Con Parade kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 10 am ET. The parade is free and open to the public.

The parade route remains the same as in past years. Beginning at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Linden Avenue, the parade will head south on Peachtree, east (left) on Andrew Young International Boulevard and north (left) on Peachtree Center Avenue. It will end on Peachtree Center Avenue between John Portman Boulevard and Baker Street, in front of the Atlanta Marriott Marquis (one of the Dragon Con host hotels).

The route is convenient to three MARTA stations – North Avenue, Civic Center, and Peachtree Center. Parking downtown is expected to be tight. Dragon Con encourages parade spectators to ride MARTA.

I have a few tips listed below for those planning to attend in person.

Be sure to arrive early.
Fans typically start showing up before 8am, and by 9am., most of the prime front-row spots are already taken.

Bring chairs for comfort.
While you’ll likely be standing during the parade, having a chair makes the wait much more enjoyable than sitting on the sidewalk.

Great views all along the route.
Although many gather near the start and finish lines, excellent viewing spots can be found all along the parade route—no need to crowd in just one area.

The parade usually lasts about an hour.
Settle in, enjoy the atmosphere, and get ready for amazing cosplayers and friends!

How to Watch from Home

The 2025 parade will be televised live on CBS Atlanta (formerly Atlanta 69). Live coverage will begin at 10 am and will remain on air through the entire parade.

There are a number of live streaming options. DCTV will broadcast the parade live on a closed circuit to the convention’s host hotels, with rebroadcasts throughout the weekend. Parade coverage will also stream on dragoncon.tv, subscription required.  Click here to purchase a streaming membership for $10.

If you are going to the Dragon Con parade in person click here for more information and see the parade route below.

You definitely don’t want to miss the parade because the cosplay at Dragon Con is better than anywhere else. To keep up with my Dragon Con shenanigans in addition to following us on Instagram @NiceGirlsTV, you can follow me at @Lisagetslit. Happy Parade Watching!
