Do You Remember: Stalker
Back in October 2014, the new crime drama series Stalker, from series creator Kevin Williamson – the man behind Dawson’s Creek and the Scream movie franchise – debuted on CBS.
The show focused on Detective Jack Larsen (Dylan McDermott from The Practice and FBI: Most Wanted), a recent transfer to the LAPD Threat Assessment Unit (TAU) from the NYPD homicide division, whose confidence, strong personality and questionable behavior landed him in trouble before, but whose past behavior may also prove valuable in his new job. His boss, Lieutenant II Beth Davis [aka Michelle Webber, who changed her name following the stalking-related death of her family] (Maggie Q from Nikita, Designated Survivor and Ballard) is an expert in the field and is driven by her own traumatic experience.
The rest of the team included young but eager Detective Ben Caldwell (Victor Rasuk from Reasonable Doubts the Fifty Shades film franchise) and deceptively smart Detective Janice Lawrence (Mariana Klaveno from True Blood). Elisabeth Rohm (Law & Order) also starred as Amanda Taylor, the mother of Jack’s son, who also served as the TAU’s Deputy D.A.
Some of the recurring cast members included:
- Eion Bailey from Once Upon a Time and the classic film Center Stage, played one of Beth’s stalkers, who once set a fire that killed her family;
- Warren Kole from Yellowjackets, who played Detective Trent Wilkes and Amanda’s boyfriend; and,
- Oscar winner Mira Sorvino, FBI Agent Vicki Gregg.
Just some of the guest stars on the show included the following Hallmark stars:
Kristoffer Polaha (Wonder Woman 1984)
Marc Blucas (Buffy, the Vampire Slayer and Necessary Roughness)
Sam Page (The Bold Type and Mad Men)
John Brotherton (Fuller House)
Michael Rady (Chicago Med and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)
Andrew Walker (Against the Wall)
Nazneen Contractor (Ransom and General Hospital)
Torrey DeVitto [the victim featured in the trailer at the bottom of this article] (The Vampire Diaries and Chicago Med)
AnnaLynne McCord (90210 and Days of Our Lives)
And other guest stars included:
Shanola Hampton (Found)
Caity Lotz (Arrow)
Kerr Smith (Dawson’s Creek)
Meagan Tandy (Teen Wolf and Batwoman)
Tiffany Hines (Nikita)
Nicholle Tom (The Nanny)
Samaire Armstrong (The O.C.)
Sam Witwer (Battlestar Galactica and Being Human)

Sofia Vassilieva (Duster and Medium)
Jay Hayden (Station 19)
Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time and Murder in the First)
Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries)
Phoebe Tonkin (The Originals)
Unfortunately, the show received mostly negative reviews from critics, but remarkably the 20 episodes contained within the show’s one and only season on the air averaged 7.5 million viewers over its short run and in 2015 series star Dylan McDermott was nominated for a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Actor in a New TV Series.
CBS officially cancelled the show on May 8, 2015 with the show’s final episode airing on May 18, 2015, but that episode ended with a cliffhanger, leaving viewers wondering what would happen next and never getting an ending.
