Did You Know…and Happy Valentine’s Day

By  |

I’m taking another look back at TV trivia with the following:

Did You Know…

Aldis Hodge and Alona Tal – who recently starred in the new Amazon Prime drama Cross, based on the legendary books written by author James Patterson – both appeared in the second season of the long-running TV series Supernatural?

While they didn’t appear in the same episodes, they both had important, albeit short-run, roles in the 15-seasons long series. Aldis, who is also known for his TV role of Alec Hardison in Leverage and Leverage: Redemption as well as the box office movies Hidden Figures and Black Adam, played Jake Talley, an Army Private who was responsible for the death of Sam Winchester (played by Jared Padalecki) at the end of that second season. Meanwhile Alona, who is known for her roles in TV shows like SEAL Team, Veronica Mars and Burn Notice, played Joanna Beth “Jo” Harvelle, the daughter of hunters who, along with her mother, sacrificed their lives to save Sam and his older brother Dean (played by Jensen Ackles).

You can currently watch all episodes of Cross on Amazon Prime.

Did You Know…

Alan Ritchson – the imposing 6’ 3” tall star of the Amazon Prime series Reacher, based on the popular books by author Lee Child – was a semi-finalist in season three of the long-running competition series American Idol. He was the tall, hunky kid with the buzzcut who seranaded then judge Paula Abdul. He then went on to appear as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman in several episodes of Smallville and later in Titans, where he actually showed off his singing prowess in at least one episode.

Don’t believe me, check out this video:

Season 3 of Reacher will premiere on Amazon Prime on February 20.

Did You Know…

Pretty Little Liar’s alum Janel Parrish, who has since appeared in a handful of Hallmark Channel movies as well as playing older sister Margot in the popular Netflix movie franchise To All the Boys and America’s Got Talent (AGT) contestant Brian Justin Crum performed a duet together.

As those who watched Brian compete on AGT back in 2016 know, the man can SING, but so can Janel. Brian wowed the audience with his version of “Creep” by the band Radiohead (the song was written by that band’s frontman Thom Yorke, by the way). Janel, on the other hand, has been singing since she was 6 years old.

Need some proof of their singing prowess? Check out the videos below:

If you want to see Janel in her latest TV role, you can check out the new Hallmark Channel movie Return to Office, which will debut this Saturday, February 15 at 8 PM.

Lastly, at the end of this week, couples all over the country will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with flowers, chocolate, stuffed animals, balloons and jewelry among the top gifts being presented to their significant others. However you celebrate the day, I hope you enjoy the day!
