The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as on streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout October:

October 1 – The new FOX drama Murder In a Small Town will air a new episode at the special time of 8 PM tonight

October 1 – The Vice Presidential Debate will air on ABC at 9 PM [check your local listings for other networks airing the debate]

October 2 – The second season of the Canadian drama Sullivan’s Crossing will premiere on CW at 8 PM followed the debut of the new series Joan at 9 PM

Show Synopsis (Joan): Game of Thrones alum Sophie Turner stars as notorious jewel thief Joan Hannington in this 1980’s-set series. Joan is a woman who goes between her thriving and daring career as a jewel thief, all while trying to get her daughter back from social services. Frank Dillane co-stars.

October 2 – The new limited series Last Days of the Space Age will debut online on Hulu

Show Synopsis: Radha Mitchell and Jesse Spencer star in this dramedy set in 1979 Western Australia, when Perth was at the center of the world’s headlines. A power strike threatens to plunge the region into darkness, while the city hosts the iconic Miss Universe pageant and the US space station, Skylab, crashes just beyond the city’s suburbs. Against this backdrop of international cultural and political shifts, three families in a tight-knit coastal community find their marriages, friendships and futures put to the test. The cast includes Deborah Mailman and Iain Glen.

October 3 – The season finale of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will air online on Amazon Prime today

October 3 – The NBC dramas Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Found will air their season premieres at 8, 9 and 10:01 PM respectively

October 4 – The Hallmark Mystery new movie Hannah Swensen Mystery: A Sprinkle of Deceit will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Hannah (Alison Sweeney) and Chad (Victor Webster) flirt with their own paths to solve the same murder while working to clear a colleague who is implicated in the crime. Meanwhile, Delores gets her big break. The movie also stars Barbara Niven.

October 4 – The series finale of Power Book II: Ghost will air on Starz at 8 PM

October 5 – The Great American Family movie Ainsley McGregor Mysteries: A Case of the Winemaker will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ainsley McGregor (Candace Cameron Bure) a former Chicago criminologist returns to her hometown of Sweet River, Texas. She has chosen to trade full-time crime work to open Bless Your Arts, a market for artisans to sell crafts and wares. But Ainsley cannot deny her first love is crime solving and accepts a position teaching a criminology class at the local community college. Her skills quickly become a major asset to the quaint town, when a murder occurs at a winery owned by her friend, who now stands accused of the crime. The movie co-stars Aaron Ashmore.

October 5 – The Hallmark Channel movie Autumn at Apple Hill will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Elise (Erin Cahill) is trying to keep her family inn afloat when the CFO of a major hotel chain (Wes Brown) checks in as a guest. Is he there to enjoy the fall season or try to take over her beloved inn?

October 6 – The series finale of SEAL Team will air online on Paramount+ today

October 6 – CBS will air the American Music Awards 50th Anniversary Special at 8 PM

Special Synopsis: This special is a tribute to the past 50 years, featuring dazzling new performances, heartfelt artist interviews, legendary special guests and exclusive never-before-seen footage from Dick Clark Production’s extensive archives, highlighting iconic moments that have defined the awards show and shaped pop culture.

October 7 – The two-episode premiere of the 4th and final season of Superman & Lois will air on CW starting at 8 PM

October 8 – The second season of the FOX anthology series Accused will premiere at 8 PM followed by a new episode of the new drama Murder In a Small Town in its regular timeslot of 9 PM tonight

October 8 – The second season of the NBC drama The Irrational will premiere at 10 PM

October 9 – The season finale of Slow Horses will air online on Apple TV+ today

October 9 – The new limited series La Maquina will debut online on Hulu today

Show Synopsis: After a devastating loss, Esteban “La Máquina” Osuna (Gael García Bernal) is at a low point in his boxing career. Lucky for him, his manager and best friend Andy Lujan (Diego Luna) is determined to get him back on top. But when a nefarious organization rears its head, the stakes of this rematch become life or death. While struggling to mount a comeback, Esteban must also juggle his own personal demons and protect his family, including his ex-wife Irasema (Eiza González), a journalist who finds herself on a collision course with the dark side of the boxing world.

October 10 – The spin-off series Citadel: Diana will debut online on Amazon Prime today

Show Synopsis: Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families.

October 10 – The season finale of the Peacock series Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist will air online today

October 10 – The fourth season of Outer Banks will premiere online on Netflix today

October 10 – The new horror-thriller series Teacup will debut online on Peacock today

October 10 – The Passionflix new movie A Man’s Promise will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This is the sequel to the movie A Brother’s Honor, which is based on the book series by Brenda Jackson.

October 10 – The limited series Sweetpea will debut on Starz at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: The six-part series stars Ella Purnell as Rhiannon Lewis, a quiet wallflower who develops a vengeful and intoxicatingly liberating taste for murder. At its core, the series is about a woman finally finding her voice, told through a uniquely dark and comedic lens.

October 11 – The Netflix rom-com Lonely Planet will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A reclusive novelist (Laura Dern) arrives at a writer’s retreat in Morocco, hoping the remote setting will unlock her writer’s block. While there, she meets a young man (Liam Hemsworth) — what starts as an acquaintanceship evolves into an intoxicating, life-altering love affair.

October 11 – The new limited series Disclaimer will debut online on Apple TV+ today

Show Synopsis: This gripping psychological thriller stars Cate Blanchett and Kevin Kline and is based on the best-selling novel by Renée Knight. Acclaimed journalist Catherine Ravenscroft (Blanchett) built her reputation revealing the misdeeds and transgressions of others. When she receives a novel from an unknown author, she is horrified to realize she is now the main character in a story that exposes her darkest secrets. As Catherine races to uncover the writer’s true identity, she is forced to confront her past before it destroys both her own life and her relationships with her husband, Robert (Sacha Baron Cohen), and their son, Nicholas (Kodi Smit-McPhee). The ensemble cast includes Lesley Manville, Louis Partridge, Leila George and Hoyeon.

October 12 – The Hallmark Channel movie Haunted Wedding will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The wedding between ghost hunters Jane and Brian at a haunted inn is disrupted by Angelique — a ghost who mistakes Brian for her own dead fiancé. The movie stars Janel Parrish and Dominic Sherwood.

October 13 – The second season premiere of Tracker will air on CBS at 8 PM tonight

October 14 – The 22nd season premiere of NCIS will air on CBS at the special time of 9 PM tonight followed by the debut of the new prequel series NCIS: Origins at the special time of 10 PM

Show Synopsis (NCIS: Origins): This prequel follows a young Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Austin Stowell) in 1991, years prior to the events of NCIS and is narrated by Mark Harmon (who, of course, originated the role in the franchise original series NCIS). In this version, Giibbs is starting his career as a newly minted special agent at the fledgling NCIS Camp Pendleton office where he forges his place on a gritty, ragtag team led by NCIS legend Mike Franks (Kyle Schmid). The cast includes Mariel Molino and Diany Rodriguez.

October 15 – The new series Beyond Black Beauty will debut online on Amazon Prime today

Show Synopsis: The series follows young equestrian Jolie Dumont (Kaya Coleman), whose Olympic dreams are dashed when her mother moves them from Belgium to her family’s urban ranch in Baltimore. An angry Jolie wants to escape until she bonds with a spirited horse named Black Beauty. Jolie will learn to embrace her heritage while continuing toward her Olympic-hopeful future and discover the value of family and home. The cast includes Gina James, Sagine Sémajuste, Lisa Berry and Gilles Marini.

October 15 – The CBS dramas FBI, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted will all air their premieres at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively

October 15 – The 4th season of American Horror Stories will premiere on FX on Hulu today

October 16 – The finale of the second season of Tell Me Lies will air online on Hulu

October 17 – The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer will premiere online on Netflix today

October 17 – The Bribox drama Passenger will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The series explores a close-knit community who are unwilling to face their fears of change, of outsiders and of the unknown. Set in the fictional small Northern town of Chadder Vale, Former Met Police Detective Riya Ajunwa (Wunmi Mosaku) investigates a series of strange and inexplicable crimes that have the townsfolk spinning on an axis. Riya arrived in decaying Chadder Vale five years ago and has since been searching for that ‘one big crime’, the challenge that will make her feel alive again. Then one night, local girl Katie Wells (Rowan Robinson) mysteriously disappears. The town barely has time to register her absence before she reappears the next day, apparently safe and sound. The townsfolk ask few questions and normal life resumes. But for Riya, a relative outsider to the Chadder Vale way of life, none of this sits right. As a series of strange happenings and increasingly shocking crimes start unfolding within the town, the residents resort to short-sighted theories and blame outside influences such as the fracking site and its manager Jim Bracknell (David Threlfall). As things become stranger, the people push back on Riya’s absurd notion that something is not right with this town. But what are they so afraid of? Barry Sloane also stars.

October 17 – The new CBS drama Matlock will air in its regular timeslot of 9 PM starting tonight followed by the second season of Elsbeth at 10 PM

October 18 – The limited series Rivals will debut online on Disney+ today

Show Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England, this series delves headfirst into the ruthless world of independent television in 1986. The ensemble cast includes Aiden Turner, David Tennant, Luke Pasqualino and Victoria Smurfit (among others).

October 18 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie ‘Twas the Date Before Christmas will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: To prevent her family from canceling the “Chamberlain Family Christmas Olympics,” Jessie (Amy Groening) lies and says she’s inviting a date to the long-standing holiday tradition. She meets Bryan (Ryan Buckley) on a dating app, and he agrees to spend the holiday with her and her family. As Jessie and Bryan engage in eccentric activities like the search for the Christmas tree star, gift wrapping contest and snowball fight, they start to develop real feelings for each other. Soon her family begins to catch on to their secret and Bryan suspects she may be hiding the real reason for her unusual Christmas date request. As the celebrations continue, Jessie must work to keep all her stories straight and save her date with Bryan.

October 18 – The season premieres of S.W.A.T., Fire Country and Blue Bloods will all air on CBS at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively

October 18 – The Peacock drama Hysteria! will debut online today

Show Synopsis: When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them. The cast includes Allison Scagliotti, Anna Camp, Bruce Campbell, Garret Dillahunt and Julie Bowen.

October 18 – The Netflix film Woman of the Hour will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This movie is the stranger-than-fiction story of an aspiring actor in 1970s Los Angeles and a serial killer in the midst of a years-long murder spree, whose lives intersect when they’re cast on an episode of The Dating Game. The movie is directed by and stars Anna Kendrick, Daniel Zovatto and Tony Hale.

October 19 – The Great American Family holiday film Christmas in Scotland will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A New York installation designer helps a small Scottish community create a dazzling light display to win “Best Christmas Village” festival. The designer is forced to work with a wealthy heir who doesn’t like Christmas, though feelings may change if the pair succeeds in creating joy for the community. The movie stars Jill Winternitz and Dominic Watters.

October 19 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Holiday Crashers will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Best friends Toni (Lyndsy Fonseca) and Bri (Daniella Monet) have worked at the same card shop for more years than they should as both struggle to find their true life’s path. This holiday season, Toni and Bri decide to shake up their humdrum world by creating new identities to crash the amazing Christmas parties from the shop’s confidential invitations. All harmless fun! Until Toni gets mistaken for a lawyer, which isn’t too far off the mark since she did finish law school… just never completed the bar exam. Toni and Bri are then whisked away to a fancy corporate Christmas retreat in the snowy Vermont mountains by handsome business mogul, Justin (Chris McNally), whose crush on Toni is real even if her legal career isn’t. And Bri is along for the ride as she has eyes for Vinny (Jag Bal), a valet who may have a secret of his own. Can a distraction help Bri find what path in life she’s supposed to follow? Will Toni end up with the guy of her dreams or in a blizzard of trouble?

October 20 – The finales of Moonflower Murders and Van der Valk will air on PBS tonight at 9 and 10 PM respectively

October 20 – The Great American Family holiday sequel movie A Christmas Castle Proposal will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Olivia (Rhiannon Fish), a commoner, travels with Prince Alexander (Mitchell Bourke) to his family’s magical palace, Torovia so their families can spend a first Christmas together. The couple’s plans for an enchanted Christmas are threatened by comedic mishaps caused by cultural differences between the families.

October 20 – The 5th season premiere of The Equalizer will air at the special time of 9:30 PM on CBS

October 20 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Scouting for Christmas will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Angela (Tamera Mowry-Housley) has been a busy realtor since her amicable divorce a couple of years ago to Dakota, a paleontologist whose adventures kept him anywhere but home. Now, she is a devoted if often harried, single mom to a smart and loving 10-year-old girl, Brooklyn. Angela’s busy schedule makes it hard for her to find time for much of anything — or anyone — else. As it is, she can barely get Brooklyn to her scout meetings on time, much to the disapproval of the other mothers. When Brooklyn gets the idea to have William (Carlo Marks), the owner of her favorite bakery, cater her scout troop’s posh annual holiday event, she asks Angela to work with him on pitching the idea to the moms in charge. Despite sensing that her daughter might be trying to play cupid, she agrees to help and finds herself enjoying time with him, but is reluctant to open her heart and life to someone new. When Dakota returns, missing her, Angela must decide what is best for her daughter and best for her heart.

October 23 – The FX thriller series Grotesquerie will air its finale at 10 PM tonight

October 24 – The new Netflix series Territory will debut online today

Show Synopsis: When the world’s largest cattle station is left without a clear successor, the outback’s most powerful factions move in for the kill. The cast includes Anna Torv, Michael Dorman, Jay Ryan, Robert Taylor, Tuuli Narkle and Philippa Northeast (among others).

October 24 – The Old Man will air its season finale on FX tonight at 10 PM

October 24 – The season finale of the new Hallmark+ drama The Chicken Sisters will air online today

October 24 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie This Time Each Year will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lauren (Alison Sweeney) and Kevin (Niall Matter) were once happily married and thriving as a family but the couple has spent almost the past year in a trial separation and are working hard to co-parent their young son Charlie. Kevin is determined to make their family whole again and it’s clear he and Lauren still care for each other deeply. When Lauren’s mother (Laura Soltis) suddenly comes into town, she asks Kevin to pretend they’re still together as she hasn’t yet broken the news to her. As they try to keep up this ruse, they begin to remember what life was like and Lauren sees the strides Kevin has made to get back on the right path and just maybe, this holiday will be a season of healing and bring happiness back into their lives.

October 25 – The new thriller series Before will debut online on Apple TV+ today

Show Synopsis: Billy Crystal stars as Eli, a child psychiatrist who, after recently losing his wife, Lynn (Judith Light), encounters a troubled young boy, Noah (Jacobi Jupe), who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli’s past. As Eli attempts to help Noah, their mysterious bond deepens. Rosie Perez also stars.

October 25 – The holiday movie Operation Nutcracker, which originally debuted on Hallmark Movies Now, which has rebranded as Hallmark+, will make its network debut on Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When an antique nutcracker set to be auctioned at the Warby family Christmas charity goes missing, a demanding event planner (Ashley Newbrough) and the heir to the Warby dynasty (Christopher Russell) try to track it down.

October 26 – The Great American Family holiday movie A Vintage Christmas will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A dedicated preservationist battles a developer’s ambitions to tear down a historic Post Office with ties to her family. The choice of old versus new threatens to divide the small town unless there is a solution for the greater good of all concerned. Merritt Patterson and Christopher Russell star.

October 26 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie The Christmas Charade will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Whitney (Rachel Skarsten), a cautious librarian raised by home security experts, finds herself in a real-life adventure when a blind date mix-up leads her into an undercover FBI operation. Forced to pose as the girlfriend of Special Agent Josh (Corey Sevier), she helps him track down an art thief targeting the Saint Nicholas Ruby at a Christmas Eve charity ball. As the stakes rise, Whitney must embrace her inner action hero to save the day—and her family—just in time for Christmas.

October 27 – The second season of Special Ops: Lioness (primarily known as just Lioness now) will debut its first two episodes online on Paramount+

October 27 – The new PBS series The Marlow Murder Club will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Judith Potts (Samantha Bond), Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) and Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) start an investigation. To assist with the official police investigation, headed by DS Tanika Malik (Natalie Dew), they must suspect witnesses, and face down real danger as they work against the clock to stop the killer in their tracks.

October 27 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie The 5-Year Christmas Party will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Over five years, Alice (Katie Findlay) and her old theater school rival, Max (Jordan Fisher), reunite each holiday season to work at a Chicago catering company’s Christmas parties. While their undeniable chemistry grows, the timing is never right for romance – until the company’s final season pushes them to confront their true feelings. As they say goodbye to the job that brought them together, they might finally find love in the most unexpected way.

October 29 – The season finale of Only Murders in the Building will air online on Hulu today

October 31 – The second season of The Diplomat will air online on Netflix today

October 31 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie My Sweet Austrian Holiday will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Charlotte (Brittany Bristow) is an American, who has lived in Viena since inheriting a chocolate shop from her grandparents two years ago. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to grow the business into a successful enterprise. Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year and Charlotte has been selected as one of the finalists for Vienna’s chocolatier of the year. Taking home the prize could provide some much-needed money to fend off a large developer from taking over her grandparents’ shop. Charlotte soon meets and befriends Henry (Will Kemp), and they bond over their shared affinity for quality chocolate. But a surprising twist of fate just might end their newfound relationship on a bittersweet note.

October 31 – The new series Mistletoe Murders will debut online on Hallmark+ today

Show Synopsis: Sarah Drew will play Emily Lane who, when she isn’t running her small-town Christmas-themed store Under the Mistletoe, is compelled to investigate local murders with the help of a local police detective and his teen daughter. The cast will include Peter Mooney and Lara Amersey along with guest appearances by Tom Cavanagh, Jake Epstein, David Hewlett, Kylee Evans and Steven Lund.
