My Top 13 Choices for March TV

By  |

There are a lot of options for TV viewers throughout March between new shows debuting, dramas finally getting started for the delayed fall TV season, plenty of made-for-TV movies, some specials and more.

The following are my top 13 choices for next month:

Out of the over two dozen made-for-TV movies that will air throughout March, I have selected my top 4, including:

Damsel on Netflix on March 8 that will star Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things and Enola Holmes as a dutiful “damsel,” who agrees to marry a handsome prince (Nick Robinson), only to find out the royal family has recruited her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. The movie also stars Robin Wright, Angela Bassett and Ray Winstone.

Irish Wish on Netflix on March 15, starring Lindsay Lohan as Maddie, a shy book editor, who puts her feelings aside for the love of her life who is engaged to Maddie’s best friend, agreeing to be a bridesmaid at their wedding in Ireland. Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be. But as her dream gets closer to coming true, Maddie realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely. The movie also stars Ed Speleers and Jane Seymour.

Crimes of Fashion: Killer Clutch on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on March 15 at 9 PM, Brooke D’Orsay and Gilles Marini.

Shifting Gears on Hallmark Channel on March 23 at 8 PM, starring Katherine Barrell and Tyler Hynes.

Then there are the new dramas that will debut next month, such as:

The Girls on the Bus on March 14 on MAX. The story centers on Sadie McCarthy (Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist), a journalist who romanticizes a bygone era of campaign reporting and scraps her whole life for a shot at covering a presidential candidate for a paper of record. Sadie joins the bus and eventually bonds with three female competitors, Grace (Carla Gugino), Lola (Natasha Behnam), and Kimberlyn (Christina Elmore). Despite their differences, the women become a found family with a front-row seat to the greatest soap opera in town – the battle for the White House. The cast includes Scott Foley, Griffin Dunne and Mark Consuelos.

Manhunt, the period piece drama, on Apple TV+ on March 15 tells the astonishing story of the hunt for John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle) in the aftermath of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. The cast includes Tobias Menzies and Patton Oswalt.

We Were the Lucky One, the limited series on Hulu, on March 28 that is inspired by the incredible true story of one Jewish family separated at the start of World War II but determined to survive and reunite. The cast includes Logan Lerman, Joey King and Robin Weigert

Then there are the dramas that will air their finales in March, including:

Death and Other Details on Hulu on March 5
Masters of the Air on Apple TV+ on March 15
Wild Cards on CW on March 20 at 8 PM
The Way Home on the Hallmark Channel on March 31 at 9 PM

Lastly, the former FOX drama 9-1-1 will air its 7th season premiere on its new home – that would be ABC for those unaware of the network change – on March 14 at 8 PM and the musical comedy series Girls5eva [which is SO worth watching for Sara Bareilles and Renee Elise Goldsberry alone) will move to its new home on Netflix after two seasons on Peacock also on March 14.
