The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as the streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout January:
January 1 – The new drama Harlan Coben’s Fool Me Once will debut online on Netflix today
Show Synopsis: When ex-soldier Maya (Michelle Keegan) sees her murdered husband (Richard Armitage) on a secret nanny cam, she uncovers a deadly conspiracy that stretches deep into the past.

January 2 – The hit Hulu series Only Murders in the Building will air its first season on ABC starting at 9 PM with back to back episodes; in fact, the first three episodes will air tonight

January 4 – The new 7-part drama series Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale will debut on both AMC+ and Sundance Now today
Show Synopsis: Set in a contemporary world where witchcraft is real, the series takes place in the idyllic English town of Sanctuary, where for hundreds of years witches have lived peacefully, as valued members of society. Until now. At the heart of the story is Sarah Fenn (Elaine Cassidy), Sanctuary’s resident witch, on whom the town relies to solve their problems when conventional remedies have failed. When local teen rugby star, Dan Whithall, dies tragically in an apparent accident, his death exposes a terrifying undercurrent of suspicion and fear towards Sarah and her teenage daughter, Harper (Hazel Doupe). Mother of the dead boy, Abigail (Amy de Bhrun), once Sarah’s closest friend, is wracked with grief, and to avenge her son’s death, launches a modern-day witch-hunt to get “justice”, no matter what the cost.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal star as Hen and Junior , who farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior’s family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger shows up at their door with a startling proposal. Aaron Pierre co-stars.
January 5 – The AMC+ special movie Muzzle will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After his dog is killed in Skid Row, Jake Rosser (Aaron Eckhart) plummets deep into a sinister underworld to uncover the truth about who may be responsible. The cast includes Stephan Lang, Penelope Mitchell, Paul Johansson and Nick Searcy.
January 5 – The Netflix feature film Good Grief will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When his husband (Luke Evans) unexpectedly dies, Marc’s (Daniel Levy) world shatters, sending him and his two best friends on a soul-searching trip to Paris that reveals some hard truths they each needed to face. The film co-stars Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, Celia Imrie, Davide Bradley, Emma Corrin and Kaitlyn Dever.
January 6 – The Hallmark Channel movie Love on the Right Course will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Whitney (Ashley Newbrough) is a professional golfer who is struggling to make the cut to qualify for her next tournament in Europe. Concerned that she might not be able to continue competing on a professional level, she returns to Budapest, and the golf course her family owns there, to reevaluate her career. She finds that her father, who has grown reclusive since losing his wife two years ago, has handed over day-to-day operations of the club to a laid-back, new golf pro, Daniel (Marcus Rosner). Daniel’s casual style is at odds with Whitney’s and it throws her off her game, literally. As the pair get to know each other, their perspective changes and a romance develops. But, when Whitney’s former trainer returns and pushes Daniel out, it might just cost Whitney her best shot at love.
January 7 – The 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Book-cover artist Lea (Julie Roy) pretends to be the elusive author of a hit romance novel that was secretly written by snobbish literary novelist Michael (Brandon Santana). She doesn’t expect to find love herself.
January 9 – The Hulu series Safe Home will debut online today
Show Synopsis: Phoebe (Aisha Dee) leaves her job at a law firm and begins work at a family violence centre and she must navigate a path that isn’t always clear, and people and events that aren’t always as they appear.

Show Synopsis: Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) as she is pursued by Wilson Fisk’s (Vincent D’Onofrio) criminal empire. When the journey brings her home, she must confront her own family and legacy. The cast includes Devery Jacobs, Graham Greene, Tantoo Cardinal, Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer and Cody Lightning.
January 10 – The new Apple TV+ series Criminal Record will debut online today
Show Synopsis: This thriller is set in the heart of contemporary London when an anonymous phone call draws two brilliant detectives into a confrontation over an old murder case – one a young woman in the early stages of her career, the other a well-connected man determined to protect his legacy. The cast includes Peter Capaldi, Cush Jumbo and Zoe Wanamaker [among others].
January 11 – The second season of Skymed will premiere online on Paramount+ today
January 12 – The finale of For All Mankind will air online on Apple TV+ today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Emma Brackett (Kaley Cuoco) has a wonderful husband (David Oyelowo) and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey. She also has a secret life as an assassin for hire, a secret that her husband David discovers when the couple decide to spice up their marriage with a little role play. The film also stars Bill Nighy and Connie Nielsen.
January 12 – The Netflix movie Lift will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: An international heist crew, led by Cyrus Whitaker (Kevin Hart), race to lift $500 million in gold from a passenger plane at 40,000 feet. The movie also stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Vincent D’Onofrio, Billy Magnussen, Jacob Batalon, Jean Reno, Sam Worthington and Burn Gorman [among others].
January 12 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie True Justice: Family Ties will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A law school student (Katherine McNamara) with the help of her friends sets out to prove her brother was wrongfully convicted. The only way to clear his name is by finding the real killer, but the closer they get, the more danger they are all in.
January 13 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Scottish Love Scheme will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lily (Erica Durance) travels to Scotland with her mother and reconnects with Logan (Jordan Young), a childhood family friend. Unbeknownst to Lily and Logan, their meddling mothers have come up with a plan to set them up.
January 14 – The new drama Monsieur Spade will debut online on Acorn TV and AMC+ as well as on AMC at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: The year is 1963, and the legendary Detective Sam Spade (Clive Owen) is enjoying his retirement in the South of France,” reads the synopsis. “By contrast to his days as a private eye in San Francisco, Spade’s life in Bozouls is peaceful and quiet. But the rumored return of his old adversary will change everything. Six beloved nuns have been brutally murdered at the local convent. As the town grieves, secrets emerge, and new leads are established. Spade learns that the murders are somehow connected to a mysterious child who is believed to possess great powers.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When beauty brand Bloom decides to close its flagship store and focus on online sales, content creator Jenny (Ansley Gordon) must find a way to deal with the backlash from their loyal fanbase and spin the news into a positive thing via their social media. On top of that, Bloom is pivoting to eco-friendly products and a wellness angle, so Jenny spends the seaside corporate retreat in Miami trying to capture the “life” in “work/life balance.” Her drive to achieve clashes with the chill vibe of activities director Nate (Jonathan Stoddard). Sparks fly between these two as Jenny realizes Nate is a thrill-seeker who has work/life balance figured out, but there’s one problem, he’s the brother of her boss.
January 14 – The new drama Belgravia: The Next Chapter (the sequel to Belgravia) will debut on MGM+ (formerly EPIX) at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: The series tells the love story of Frederick Trenchard (Benjamin Wainwright), the third Lord Trenchard, and his new love interest, Clara Dunn (Harriet Slater), who is a newcomer to London society. Unaware that his birth was the product of an affair between his mother Susan (Alice Eve) and the scoundrel John Bellasis (Adam James), a troubled childhood has left Frederick deeply insecure, which challenges his courtship of, and marriage to, Clara. The cast includes Toby Regbo.
January 14 – The 4th season of True Detective: North Country will premiere on HBO at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: When the long winter night falls in Ennis, Alaska, the eight men who operate the Tsalal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. To solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Jodie Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Kali Reis) will have to confront the darkness they carry in themselves, and dig into the haunted truths that lie buried under the eternal ice. The series also stars Christopher Eccleston, Fiona Shaw and John Hawkes.
January 14 – The season finale of The Curse will air at 9 PM on Showtime
January 15 – The 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards will air on FOX at 8 PM
January 16 – The first two episodes of the new Hulu drama Death and Other Details will debut online today

January 17 – The new drama Wild Cards will debut on The CW at 8 PM followed by the third season of Family Law at 9 PM
Show Synopsis (Wild Cards): Cole Ellis (Giacomo Gianniotti) is a demoted detective who has begrudgingly spent the last year on the maritime unit, while Max Mitchell (Vanessa Morgan) has been living a transient life elaborately scamming everyone she meets. But while arrested and being held at the station, Max ends up helping Ellis solve a local crime. The two are offered the opportunity to redeem themselves – Ellis needs to get back to his detective post and Max needs to stay out of jail. The catch? They have to work together, each using their unique skills to solve crimes. For Ellis, that means hard-boiled shoe leather police work; for Max, it means accents, disguises, schemes and generally befriending everyone in sight, while driving Ellis absolutely nuts. The two will have to learn what it means to trust another person and maybe actually become partners. Jason Priestley also stars.
January 18 – The NBC dramas Law & Order, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Law & Order: Organized Crime will all premiere at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively
January 19 – Transplant, the Canadian import medical drama will move to its new timeslot Fridays at 9 PM starting tonight on NBC
January 19 – The season finale of Reacher will air online on Amazon Prime today
January 19 – The Netflix movie The Kitchen will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In a dystopian future London where all social housing has been eliminated, Izi (Kane Robinson) and Benji (Jedaiah Bannerman) fight to navigate the world as residents of The Kitchen – a community that refuses to abandon their home. Michael Fassbender serves as one of the producers and Daniel Kaluuya is the co-director and co-writer.
January 19 – The BBC limited series The Woman in the Wall will debut online for US audiences on Paramount+ today
Show Synopsis: Lorna Brady (Ruth Wilson) wakes one morning to find a corpse in her house with no idea who the dead woman is. She doubts herself, because she has long suffered from extreme bouts of sleepwalking. Daryl McCormack co-stars.
NOTE: This drama will also debut on Showtime at 9 PM on January 21.

January 20 – Betty’s Bad Luck in Love is the latest new Hallmark Channel movie set to debut at 8 PM

January 21 – The UPtv movie The Love Advisor will debut at 7 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a lowly assistant who has secretly been writing the love advice for her boss’s podcast finds out her favorite journalist is a fan of the show, she’ll have to decide if love is worth risking her career for. The movie stars Rachel Vallori and Tyler Harlow.
January 21 – The second season of The Way Home will premiere on the Hallmark Channel at 9 PM
January 22 – The now defunct Hallmark Channel drama Ride will premiere on The CW at 8 PM followed by an encore airing of the new drama Wild Cards at 9 PM
January 23 – The season finale of NCIS: Sydney will air on CBS at 8 PM
January 25 – The limited series Griselda will debut online today on Netflix
Show Synopsis: This limited series inspired by the savvy and ambitious Colombian businesswoman Griselda Blanco (Sofia Vergara), who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. The series also stars Vanessa Ferlito.

Show Synopsis: The prequel series explores the origins of Gal (James McArdle) and Don’s (Emun Elliott) complicated relationship as they find themselves descending into the seductive madness of the London criminal world during the vibrant and volatile 1990s, while Gal’s budding relationship with Deedee (Sarah Greene) threatens everything in their world. The series also stars Stephen Moyer and Tamsin Greig.
January 26 – The third and final season of Hightown will premiere on Starz at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series centers on three American women – Margaret (Nicole Kidman), Hilary (Sarayu Blue), and Mercy (Ji-young Yoo) – whose lives intersect after a sudden family tragedy. The series interrogates privilege and explores what happens when the line between victimhood and culpability becomes blurred. Brian Tee plays Margaret’s husband Clarke and Jack Huston, plays Hilary’s husband David.
January 26 – The new period piece drama Masters of the Air will debut its first two episodes online today on Apple TV+
Show Synopsis: From executive producers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, this action-packed drama follows the true story of an American bomber group in World War II. The ensemble cast includes Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Isabel May and Ncuti Gatwa [among others].
January 26 – The U.S. Figure Skating Championships will air on NBC at 8 PM
January 27 – The Hallmark Channel movie Romance With a Twist will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Luna (Jocelyn Hudon) is a former dancer, who left that dream behind for a grounded life managing her family’s construction business and gets the opportunity to transform a gymnasium into a studio for aerials. As she sneaks a moment to try dancing in the silks, she is surreptitiously discovered by Bennet (Oliver Renaud), a professional aerialist, who has returned home from performing around the world. Bennet is none too pleased to walk in to find his contractor messing around on the silks, but when his partner for an upcoming show drops out, he soon recruits Luna to perform with him. As the hard work of this dynamic sport and the joys of Luna returning to her roots as a dancer bring them closer together, will their relationship crash or will they find a way to reach new heights?

January 31 – The latest installment of Feud: Capote vs. The Swans will air its first two episodes tonight on FX at 10 PM
Show Synopsis: Acclaimed writer Truman Capote (Tom Hollander) surrounded himself with a coterie of society’s most elite women – rich, glamorous socialites who defined a bygone era of high society New York – whom he nicknamed “the swans.” Beautiful and distinguished, the group included grande dame Barbara “Babe” Paley (Naomi Watts), Slim Keith (Diane Lane), C.Z. Guest (Chloë Sevigny) and Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart). Enchanted and captivated by these doyennes, Capote ingratiated himself into their lives, befriending them and becoming their confidante, only to ultimately betray them by writing a thinly veiled fictionalization of their lives, exposing their most intimate secrets. When an excerpt from the book, Answered Prayers, Capote’s planned magnum opus, was published in Esquire, it effectively destroyed his relationship with his swans, banished him from the high society he so loved and sent him into a spiral of self-destruction from which he would ultimately never recover. The cast includes Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Russell Tovey, Joe Mantello and the late Treat Williams.
