The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as the streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air throughout August:
August 2 – The season finale of the Apple TV+ series Hijack will air online today

August 3 – Part 2 of season two of The Lincoln Lawyer will air online on Netflix today
August 4 – The new 7-part drama The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart will debut online on Amazon today
Show Synopsis: Based on the best-selling novel by Holly Ringland, the series tells the emotionally compelling story of Alice Hart (Alycia Debnam-Carey). When Alice was 9-years-old she tragically lost her parents in a mysterious fire and was taken to live with her grandmother June Hart (Sigourney Weaver) at Thornfield flower farm, where she learns that there are secrets within secrets about her and her family’s past.
August 5 – The Hallmark Channel movie Making Waves will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Music executive Amelia (Holland Roden) goes to a festival on the Outer Banks to beat out the competition for an elusive new band and discovers that the group is fronted by Will (Corey Cott), her childhood summer sweetheart. Over the course of the week, as Amelia tries to convince Will that her company is the better choice for his musical vision, she realizes there might be a conflict of interest: her feelings for him.
August 5 – The first three episodes of the debut season of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel will premiere on ABC at 8, 9 and 10 PM
August 6 – The season finale of Ridley will air on PBS at 8 PM
August 6 – The 6th season premiere of The Chi will air on Showtime at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The causes and consequences of America’s opioid epidemic unfold in this drama following its perpetrators, victims and an investigator seeking the truth. The cast includes Uzo Aduba, Matthew Broderick and Taylor Kitsch.
August 10 – The Paramount+ movie Love in Taipei will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Adapted from the best-selling YA romance novel Loveboat, Taipei by author Abigail Hing Wen, the movie will focus on Ever Wong (Ashley Liao from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes), a young woman whose summer takes an unexpected turn when her parents surprise her with a trip to Taipei, Taiwan for a cultural immersion program. It’s not quite the educational program she envisions, but instead a summer free-for-all that locals and other students have dubbed “Loveboat.” The experience lives up to its name when Ever finds herself caught between two love interests: Rick Woo (Ross Butler), a sports prodigy and Xavier Yeh (Nico Hiraga), a free-spirited artist and heir to a tech empire. Between these two love connections, Ever must also find the courage to defy her parents’ expectations and pursue her true passion of dancing.
August 11 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Big Sky River: The Bridal Path will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Tara (Emmanuelle Vaugier), now settled in Montana and dating Boone (Kavan Smith), works to bring their family lives together but tensions arise, as blending their families will be more of a challenge than anticipated.
August 11 – The summer finale of Outlander will air on Starz at 8 PM followed by the second season of Men in Kilts at 9:35 PM
August 11 – The Netflix action movie Heart of Stone will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Gal Gadot plays secret agent Rachel Stone, but she’s not your average operative, she is a member of an elusive and mysterious group of elite spies known as the Charter, the most highly trained agents — no political leanings, no national allegiances — working together to keep peace in a turbulent world. To achieve their lofty aims, those agents rely on a one-of-a-kind asset called the Heart. Jamie Dornan will play her MI6 counterpart Parker and Alia Bhatt will play Keya Dhawan, whose quest to find and control the Heart threatens global stability. Can Stone stop her before it’s too late?
August 11 – The original movie Red, White & Royal Blue will debut online on Amazon today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the novel by Casey McQuiston, the movie follows the star-crossed, secret romance between the son of the President of the United States Alex Claremont-Diaz (Taylor Zakhar Perez) and the Prince Henry of England (Nicholas Galitzine). The two young, hot, high-profile young men have been engulfed in a long-running feud since they were kids, but after a silly brawl at a royal event turns into an international scandal, the two must work together to do some serious damage control in the public eye. What was first a “friendship”-slash-publicity-stunt eventually turns into one of the grandest love stories the world has ever known. However, if the truth comes to light, their secret romance could have irreversible political consequences — can love save the world after all?
August 12 – The original movie A Safari Romance will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Megan (Brittany Bristow) is a research scientist living her dream in South Africa pursuing a Ph.D. in Ethology, while working as a ranger on a nature reserve. When Tim (Andrew Walker), an American theme park designer arrives to capture footage for an immersive, safari-themed attraction, Megan serves as his guide. As they spend time together exploring the savanna to observe giraffes, elephants and lions in their natural habitats, romance develops. Knowing that Tim will soon return home, Megan is afraid of giving her heart to someone who lives half a world away.
August 12 – The final three episodes of the debut season of the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel will premiere on ABC at 8, 9 and 10 PM
August 13 – The 7th and final season premiere of Billions will air at 8 PM on Showtime
August 17 – The finale of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will air online on Paramount+ today
August 18 – The new movie Puppy Love will debut online on Freevee today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After a disastrous first date, wild-child Nicole (Lucy Hale) and socially-anxious Max (Grant Gustin) vow to lose each other’s numbers until they learn that their dogs find a love match, and now puppies are on the way. The hilariously mismatched Nicole and Max are forced to become responsible co-parents, but may end up finding love themselves. The film also stars Jane Seymour, Michael Hitchcock and Nore Davis.
August 18 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie The More Love Grows will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Helen’s (Rachel Boston) husband unexpectedly asks for a separation just after they’ve dropped off their daughter at college, she struggles to navigate her new-found single status. Thanks to a stray dog who enters her life and the friendship of a helpful veterinarian (Warren Christie), Helen rediscovers her strength and begins to forge a new path.
August 18 – The finale of the drama The Summer I Turned Pretty will air online on Amazon today
August 18 – The Amazon 8-episode limited series Harlen Coben’s Shelter will debut online today
Show Synopsis: The show follows the story of Mickey Bolitar (Jaden Michael) after the sudden death of his father leads him to start a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey. Mickey quickly finds himself tangled in the mysterious disappearance of a new student at his school, Ashley Kent, which leads to uncovering unimaginable secrets within their quiet suburban community. With the help of his friends, the inventive Spoon (Adrian Greensmith) and the secretive Ema (Abby Corrigan), Mickey pulls back the sleepy facade of Kasselton to reveal a dark underground that may hold the answers to decades of disappearances, deaths, and legends and perhaps even his own complex family history. Constance Zimmer co-stars.
August 19 – The new movie Never Too Late to Celebrate will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Camila’s (Alexa PenaVega) busy schedule at the dental practice where she works has left her exhausted and with little time for a life outside of her patient load. When she meets Javi (Carlos PenaVega), a substitute teacher at the school where Camila’s mother Sherri (Sherry Miller) works, she takes him up on his offer to join the Spanish class he teaches on the side so she can finally learn the language of her late father. Sparks fly as Javi helps Camila connect with her Mexican roots and, with her 30th birthday around the corner, Javi encourages Camila to mark this milestone with a “double quinceañera” to honor her Hispanic heritage. Not one for big parties, she’s hesitant at first but ultimately decides to take the plunge and celebrate in style.
August 20 – This 10-part period piece drama The Winter King will debut on MGM+ (formerly EPIX) at 9 PM
Show Synopsis: This bold, revisionist take on the well-loved Arthurian legend, and based on the Warlord Chronicles series from Bernard Cornwell, the series is set in the 5th Century long before Britain was united. It’s a brutal land of warring factions and tribes where lives were often fleeting, and follows Arthur Pendragon (Iain De Caestecker from Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) as he evolves from outcast to legendary warrior and leader. The series also stars Eddie Marsan, Andrew Gower and Simon Merrells (among others).
August 23 – The series finale of both Nancy Drew and Riverdale will air on The CW at 8 and 9 PM respectively

August 23 – The new Disney+ series Star Wars: Ahsoka will air online today
Show Synopsis: Set after the fall of the Empire, the series follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy. The ensemble cast includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, David Tennant, Lars Mikkelsen and the late Ray Stevenson.
August 24 – The Netflix series Who Is Erin Carter? will debut online today
Show Synopsis: Meet Erin (Evin Ahmad), a mother, wife and teacher, living the expat dream in Spain. Or so we think until a robbery in a supermarket reveals her to be a badass fighter. Erin is clearly not who she says she is, but how far will she go to keep her true identity at bay? The cast includes Douglas Henshall and Sean Teale.
August 25 – The season finale of Moonshine will air on The CW at 9 PM
August 26 – The Hallmark Channel movie Napa Ever After will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After inheriting her estranged grandmother’s winery in Napa Valley, Cassandra (Denise Boutté), a high-powered attorney, takes a sabbatical from her job to renovate the property that was the source of the fractures within her family. With the help of handsome local Alec (Colin Lawrence), she learns more about the grandmother she hardly knew and is able to reconcile the past, while finally opening herself up to a love like she has never known.
August 28 – The second season of Harry Wild will premiere online onlin on Acorn TV
August 29 – The season finale of Justified: City Primeval will air on FX at 10 PM
August 31 – The season finale of Dark Winds will air online on AMC+ today
August 31 – The Netflix movie Choose Love will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This interactive rom-com focuses on Cami Conway (Laura Marano) as she looks back on her goals and relationships as she struggles with her future. While she seemingly has it all, a job she loves as a recording engineer and her great boyfriend Paul (Scott Michael Foster), she questions if there is another career out there for her and if a past, or possible, relationship may be the better choice. Avan Jogia plays Rex Galier, a rockstar Cami works with and a potential love interest, while Jack Menna (Jordi Webber) is her first love. Who will Cami choose? It’s up to you.
August 31 – The 10-episode live-action pirate adventure story One Piece, based on the best-selling manga by Eiichiro Oda, will debut online on Netflix today
Show Synopsis: The story follows Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his loyal crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they embark on a journey to the most dangerous oceans in the world. Even though this crew is generally good-natured and fun-loving, they’re sort of the exception in the world of dastardly, infamous pirates hunting the One Piece and collecting sizable bounties from the World Government.
