September 1 – The new Netflix movie Love in the Villa will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A young woman (Kat Graham from The Vampire Diaries) takes a trip to romantic Verona, Italy, after a breakup, only to find that the villa she reserved was double-booked, and she’ll have to share her vacation with a cynical British man (Tom Hopper from The Umbrella Academy).

September 2 – The prequel series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will debut its first two episodes online today on Amazon
Show Synopsis: Epic drama set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings follows an ensemble cast of characters, both familiar and new, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth. The cast includes Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Cynthia Addai-Robinson and Nazanin Boniadi [among countless others].
September 3 – The Hallmark Channel movie Marry Me in Yosemite will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Zoe (Cindy Busby) is a top photojournalist who has published successful coffee table books featuring her images of iconic places. Her publisher wants her next subject to be Yosemite, so she heads west despite not being sure she can do justice to the majesty of the landscape. While there, she meets Jack (Tyler Harlow), an intriguing tour guide who opens her eyes to new possibilities as they take a journey together.
September 4 – The Chi will air its season finale on Showtime at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Skye is preparing for another great year of her business ‘Lather and Luxury’ when her childhood sweetheart Gavin arrives in town to help improve her business model. As they spend more time together, sparks fly and they find that the true luxury of life is falling in love. The film stars Stephanie Bennett and Jesse Hutch.
September 4 – The new movie Love’s Portrait will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lily (Aubrey Reynolds) is a museum curator who finds a painting that looks just like her. Lily’s search for the artist leads her to Ireland, where she meets William (Richard McWilliams), a charming man who helps her on her quest and may also know more about the portrait’s origins than he’s letting on.
September 5 – The series finales of both Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark will air on The CW at 8 and 9 PM respectively
September 5 – The new Acorn TV series Recipes for Love and Murder will debut online today
Show Synopsis: Maria Doyle Kennedy (Outlander and Orphan Black) stars in this mystery series based on the best-selling novels by Sally Andrews that follows a newspaper recipe advice columnist, Tannie Maria, who offers guidance and counsel and helps investigate crimes in her small town in the vibrant, beautiful region of the Karoo in South Africa.

September 7 – The new 3-episode Hulu drama Tell Me Lies will debut online today
Show Synopsis: The series follows a tumultuous but intoxicating relationship as it unfolds over the course of eight years. When Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) meet at college, they are at that formative age when seemingly mundane choices lead the way to irrevocable consequences. Although their relationship begins like any typical campus romance, they quickly fall into an addictive entanglement that will permanently alter not only their lives, but the lives of everyone around them.
September 8 – The final season of The Good Fight will premiere online on Paramount+ today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Tom Hanks stars as Geppetto, the woodcarver who builds and treats Pinocchio (Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) as if he were his real son in this live action and CGI retelling of the beloved tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Directed by Robert Zemeckis the cast includes Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo asthe Blue Fairy, Keegan-Michael Key as”Honest” John, Lorraine Bracco as new character Sofia the Seagull and Luke Evans as The Coachman.
September 8 – The 5-part limited series Last Light will debut online on Peacock today
Show Synopsis: Based on Alex Scarrow’s best-selling novel of the same name, the series follows Petro-chemist Andy Yeats (Matthew Fox from Lost and Party of Five) knows how dependent the world is on oil; if something were to happen to the world’s oil supply, it would set off a chain reaction: transportation would grind to a halt, supplies would cease to be delivered, law enforcement would be overwhelmed. While on a business trip to the Middle East, Andy realizes that his worst fears are coming true and his family is separated at this crucial moment. His teenage daughter, Laura , is alone at home in London while his wife, Elena (Joanne Froggatt from Downton Abbey), and young son, Sam, are in Paris. Amid this chaos, each family member will sacrifice everything to find one another, despite the distance and the dangers that separate them.

September 10 – The GAC Family movie A Taste of Tuscany will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: April (Laura Mitchell) is an uptight health-chef guru on the verge of notoriety, but her brand of cooking is failing. Despite her assurances healthy is tasty, those who have tried her recipes disagree. Her cookbook publisher and publicity team are thinking about dropping her. Unwilling to give up on her hard work and career, April vows to reinvent herself. She goes to Italy to learn how to incorporate the country’s notorious rich culture of food in her own recipes. There, she meets Rob (Brad Johnson), a brilliant chef hoping to open his own restaurant someday. Between Rob and the Italian cuisine, April finds new joy and freedom in life and cooking—and also love. It allows her to see what she’s been missing. With that, she discovers she needs to start living and enjoying life to bring out its best flavors.
September 11 – The Starz drama The Serpent Queen will debut at 8 PM
Show Synopsis: A historical drama with an edge, “The Serpent Queen” puts a contemporary spin on conventional storytelling to tell the tale of Catherine de Medici’s (Samantha Morton from The Walking Dead) rise to power. In the series premiere, “Medici Bitch,” Catherine’s tale unfolds through flashbacks as she defends her actions and imparts the lessons she’s learned to her new servant confident, Rahima. At 14, the young, orphaned Catherine marries into the 16th-century French court. Despite her commoner status, her uncle Pope Clement (Charles Dance from Game of Thrones), has negotiated a large dowry and a geopolitical alliance in return for the union, and with it comes the expectation of many heirs. However, on her wedding night, Catherine learns that her new husband is in love with Diane de Poitiers, a beautiful lady-in-waiting twice his age. With her future suddenly uncertain and with little hope of conceiving, Catherine must quickly learn who she can trust – both within her personal entourage of courtiers and the members of the royal court – while outmaneuvering anyone who underestimates her determination to survive at any cost. The cast includes Colm Meaney, Raza Jaffrey and Rupert Everett.
September 11 – The FOX drama Monarch will (finally) debut at 8 PM
Show Synopsis: The (delayed till fall) drama is a Texas-sized, multi-generational musical drama about America’s first family of country music. The Romans are headed by the insanely talented, but tough as nails Queen of Country Music Dottie Cantrell Roman (Susan Sarandon) and her beloved husband, “Texas Truthteller” Albie Roman (Trace Adkins). They have created a country music dynasty, but even though the Roman name is synonymous with authenticity, the very foundation of their success is a lie. And when their reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy, heir to the crown Nicolette “Nicky” Roman (Anna Friel) will stop at nothing to protect her family’s legacy, while ensuring her own quest for stardom. The cast includes Beth Ditto, D. W. Moffett, Damon Dayoub, Josh Sasse and Reshma Shetty. Sarandon’s own daughter Eva Amurri will play the younger version of her character.
NOTE: The show will move to its regular 9 PM time slot starting on September 20.
September 11 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie To Her, With Love will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Kayla (Skye P. Marshall) heads back to her hometown of Stansville, North Carolina, after her substitute teaching job at an elite, private high school comes to an early end. On her first day back, her loving yet inquisitive mother (Maria Howell) sets up a job interview at her high school alma mater. Kayla, who ultimately wants to get into a competitive teaching program in London, is hesitant to apply. However, when it turns out that her high school best friend Tanya (Brittany L. Smith) is a teacher there, and she is offered the job on the spot, she quickly accepts. When Kayla initially struggles to connect with her students, Jordan (Tobias Truvillion), a jack-of-all-trades teacher who is devoted to supporting underserved students, steps in to help. Though reluctant to accept his input at first, she is soon inspired to try a fresh approach to help each of her students tap into their unique artistic passions and her students begin flourishing. When Kayla learns the school may be cutting the arts department due to budget cuts, she and Jordan work together to set up a fundraising showcase, with a little help from her longtime friend Shanice Wilson-Knox. Soon, sparks are flying between Kayla and Jordan as they discover a shared love of teaching, service and Sidney Poitier movies. However, when Kayla receives some teaching opportunities that would take her away from Stansville – and Jordan – she finds that her heart may still have a few things to teach her about what will make her happy.

Show Synopsis: The series will follow Julian Kaye (Jon Bernthal) after his wrongful conviction release from 15 years in prison as he navigates his complicated relationships with his former lover Michelle (Gretchen Mol), his troubled mother and the people who betrayed him. While Julian struggles to reconcile the escort he was in the past and the man he is today, Detective Sunday (Rosie O’Donnell) seeks the truth about the murder that sent Julian to prison all those years ago, unearthing a much larger conspiracy along the way. The series will also feature Wayne Brady, Sandrine Holt and Leland Orser.
September 12 – The 74th Annual Emmy Awards will air on NBC at 8 PM

September 15 – The Sundance Now drama The Light in the Hall will debut online today
Show Synopsis: This psychological thriller is about the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl, Ela Roberts, in 2002. Joe Pritchard (Iwan Rheon from Game of Thrones) was arrested after her DNA was found in his caravan and he confessed to her murder, though he has not disclosed where her body is. When the news breaks that Joe is about to be released from prison after 18 years – much to the horror of Ela’s mother (Joanna Scanlan), journalist Cat Donato (Alexandra Roach) decides to return to Llanemlyn to discover the truth about Ela’s final days for once and for all. But will Cat be warmly welcomed back in the town where she grew up? Sharon is also desperate for answers, and she’ll go to any lengths to get them.

Special Presentation Synopsis: Based on the 1989 cult classic film that starred Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, the musical adaptation follows Westerberg High student Veronica Sawyer (Ailsa Davidson), the beautiful yet cruel Heathers, and mysterious rebel Jason “J.D.” Dean (Simon Gordon).
September 16 – The Netflix movie A Jazzman’s Blues will debut online today
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie follows an investigation into an unsolved murder unveiling a story full of forbidden love, deceit and a secret. The movie is directed and written by Tyler Perry. The film stars Joshua Boone, Amirah Vann and Ryan Eggold.
September 17 – The GAC Family movie This Little Love of Mine will make its network debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A workaholic lawyer (Saskia Hampele) returns to her island home to convince an old friend (Liam McIntyre) to take over his family’s company – but rekindled feelings soon get in the way.
September 17 – The new movie Wedding of a Lifetime will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Darby (Brooke D’Orsay) and Jake (Jonathan Bennett) are an engaged couple who have been together since their days as high school sweethearts in a close-knit mountain town. Over the years they have found themselves in a rut and drifting apart. When their entire community nominates them to compete for an all-expenses paid wedding in a nationally televised contest, this just may be what the couple needs to rekindle their romance.
September 18 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie The Secrets of Bella Vista will debut at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Tess Delaney (Rachelle Lefevre) gets the surprising news by estate executor Damhnaic McAuley (Niall Matter) that she has inherited half of an apple orchard from the father she never knew and has a half-sister she didn’t know about. When she visits the orchard and connects with her new-found family, she learns that the orchard is dep in debt. Using her knowledge as an antiques expert, Tess and her half-sister work to unravel the mystery of their grandmother’s “treasure” that could hold the key to saving the orchard. And, in the process, Tess ultimately finds a new understanding of herself.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After the passing of her father, Chef Courtney works to keep his restaurant from running into the ground. The series stars Raymond Lee in the lead role along with Ernie Hudson, Mason Alexander Park, Caitlin Bassett and Nanrisa Lee.

It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. The cast includes Fiona Shaw, Adria Arjona, Kyle Soller, Genevieve O’Reilly, Denise Gough and Stellan Skarsgard.
September 21 – The season premiere of Big Sky will air on ABC at 10 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the novel by best-selling author Angie Thomas, the film stars newcomer Jamila C. Gray as Bri, a 16-year-old gifted rapper who attempts to take the battle rap scene by storm in order to lift up her family and do right by the legacy of her father, a local hip hop legend whose career was cut short by gang violence. But when her first hit song goes viral for all the wrong reasons, she finds herself torn between the authenticity that got her this far and the false persona that the industry wants to impose upon her. MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Angie (Natalie Hall) moves into her “no pets allowed” building, a parrot arrives unexpectedly. New neighbor Ted (Peter Mooney) and the dog he’s secretly sitting try to help her find the bird’s owner without being caught.

September 25 – The new movie Francesca Quinn, PI will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When private investigator Francesca “Frankie” Quinn’s (Mallory Jansen) fiancé is murdered, his sister hires her to find the killer. Frankie must work with Wyn (Dylan Bruce), the local detective assigned to the case… who also happens to be her ex. As the one-time couple joins forces to unravel a serpentine plot, the investigation strikes at their hearts.
September 25 – The Disney movie sequel Under Wraps 2 will debut at 8 PM
MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie picks up as Marshall (Malachi Barton), Gilbert (Christian J. Simon) and Amy (Sophia Hammons) are getting ready to attend Amy’s father’s Spooktacular Halloween-themed wedding to his fiancé Carl. However, plans soon go awry when the three friends discover their mummy pal Harold (Phil Wright) and his beloved Rose (Rryla McIntosh) may be in danger. Sobek (T.J. Storm), an evil mummy with a 1000-year-old grudge against his best friend-turned-bitter-rival Harold, is unexpectedly awakened and out for revenge. With help from his hypnotized lacky Larry (Jordan Conley), Sobek kidnaps Rose. Gilbert, Marshall, Buzzy (Melanie Brook) and Harold must use their skills once again to save her and get back in time to attend the wedding. Adam Wylie also stars.

September 27 – The new 8-part series Suspect will debut on BritBox today
Show Synopsis: This half-hour drama stars James Nesbitt as Detective Danny Naylor who turns up at a hospital for a routine ID check in the mortuary. However, he finds out that the person is his estranged daughter Christina. He refuses to accept that his daughter died by suicide, so he sets out on a mission to uncover the real details. We get to watch the investigation in “real time,” learning who Christina was connected to and figuring out that she wasn’t as innocent as he wanted to believe. The cast includes Richard E. Grant, Sam Heughan and Joely Richardson.
September 27 – The new Hulu series Reasonable Doubt will debut online today
Show Synopsis: The legal drama from executive producer and director Kerry Washington, the series focuses on Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) who you will judge for her questionable ethics and wild interpretations of the law…until you’re the one in trouble. Then you’ll see her for what she is: the most brilliant and fearless defense attorney in Los Angeles who bucks the justice system at every chance she gets. The cast includes Eugene Byrd, Michael Ealy and Sean Patrick Thomas.
September 27 – The spin-off series The Rookie: Feds will debut at 10 PM on ABC
Show Synopsis: The series stars Niecy Nash-Betts as Simone Clark, the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy. The cast includes Britt Robertson, Kevin Zegers, Frankie Faison, James Lesure and Felix Solis.

September 29 – The new CBS drama So Help Me Todd will debut at 9:01 PM followed by the season premiere of CSI: Vegas at 10 PM
Show Synopsis (So Help Me Todd): Marcia Gay Harden stars as razor-sharp, meticulous attorney Margaret Wright and Skylar Astin is Todd, her talented but scruffy, aimless son whom she hires as her law firm’s in-house investigator. MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The haunting sequel to the 1993 Halloween cult classic brings back the delightfully wicked Sanderson sisters (Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker) for more comedic mayhem. It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve. The cast includes Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale and Sam Richardson.
