The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as the streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that will air all throughout August:

August 1 – The second season of HBO drama Industry will premiere at 9 PM

August 2 – The series finale of The CW drama Tom Swift will air at 9 PM

August 4 – The third season finale of The Orville will air online on Hulu today

August 4 – The season finale of Moonhaven will air online on AMC+ today

August 4 – The Netflix movie Wedding Season will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Pressured by their parents to find spouses, Asha (Pallavi Sharda) and Ravi (Suraj Sharma) pretend to date in order to survive a summer of weddings— but find themselves falling for each other as they struggle to balance who they are with who their parents want them to be.

August 5 – The Apple TV+ animated movie Luck will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie follows the story of Sam Greenfield (Eva Noblezada), the unluckiest person in the world. Suddenly finding herself in the never-before-seen Land of Luck, she must unite with the magical creatures there to turn her luck around. Voices will also be provided by Simon Pegg, Whoopi Goldberg, Jane Fonda, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Coliln O’Donoghue and John Ratzenberger.

August 5 – The Amazon feature film Thirteen Lives will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: In this true story, twelve boys and the coach of a Thai soccer team explore the Tham Luang cave when an unexpected rainstorm traps them in a chamber inside the mountain. Entombed behind a maze of flooded cave tunnels, they face impossible odds. A team of world-class divers navigate through miles of dangerous cave networks to discover that finding the boys is only the beginning. The cast includes Viggo Mortensen, Joel Edgerton and Colin Farrell.

August 5 – The season finale of Black Bird will air online on Apple TV+ while the season finale of the second season of Physical will also air online on Apple TV+ today.

August 5 – The Sandman, the small screen adaptation of the Neil Gaiman graphic novel, will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: Based on the popular comic book written by Neil Gaiman, the series will be focused on when the Sandman, aka Dream (Tom Sturridge) – the powerful cosmic being who controls all our dreams – is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for over a century, he must journey across different worlds and timelines to fix the chaos his absence has caused. The ensemble cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Charles Dance, David Thewlis, Gwendoline Christie, Jenna Coleman, Joely Richardson, the voices of Mark Hamill and Patton Oswalt, Stephen Fry and Kirby Howell-Baptiste.

August 6 – The Hallmark Channel movie Love in the Limelight will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Pen pals with Nick (Carlos PenaVega) for years, Summer (Alexa PenaVega) is reluctant for her relationship with him to go public when the former boy band singer comes to town for a comeback concert. The cast includes Ivonne Coll.

August 7 – The finale of Becoming Elizabeth will air on Starz at 8 PM

August 7 – The UPtv original movie The Attraction Test will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A college professor prepares to unveil her study that sparks love between strangers, but when the launch is threatened when she’s criticized for not taking “The Dating Test” herself, she can’t hide from love any longer. The movie stars Tara Wilson and Andrew Dunbar.

August 7 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Big Sky River will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Tara (Emmanuelle Vaugier) needs to go back to Parable, Montana, the place that made her the happiest, in order to move forward after a messy divorce. Her handsome neighbor (Kavan Smith) presents an unexpected twist.

August 9 – All Rise will air its mid-season finale on OWN at 8 PM

August 10 – Resident Alien will be back with the summer return of its second season on Syfy at 10 PM

August 10 – The third and final season of Locke & Key will premiere on Netflix online today

August 12 – The Apple TV+ drama Five Days at Memorial will debut online

Show Synopsis: The limited eight-episode series is based on actual events and adapted from the book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink. It chronicles the impact of Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath on a local hospital. When the floodwaters rose, power failed, and heat soared, exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital were forced to make decisions that would follow them for years to come. The cast includes Vera Farmiga, Michael Gaston, Robert Pine, Cherry Jones, Julie Ann Emery, W. Earl Brown, Cornelis Smith, Jr., Adepero Oduye and Molly Hager.

August 12 – The season finale of For All Mankind will air online on Apple TV+

August 12 – The small screen series adaptation of the box office movie A League of Their Own will debut online on Amazon today

Show Synopsis: This version will tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball, taking a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the League and outside of it. The cast includes Dale Dickey, D’Arcy Carden, Kelly McCormack, Nick Offerman, Abbi Jacobson, Alex Desert and Melanie Field [among others].

August 12 – The Netflix film special 13: The Musical will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After his parents’ divorce, Evan Goldman (Eli Golden) moves from NYC to small-town Indiana. As his 13th birthday nears, he must master the complex social circles of his new school and win friends by turning his Bar Mitzvah into the coolest party ever. The cast includes Peter Hermann, Debra Messing, Josh Peck and Rhea Perlman.

August 12 – The Netflix dramedy Never Have I Ever will premiere its third season online today

August 12 – Passionflix will debut the next movie in the franchise – Gabriel’s Rapture, Part 3 – online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film finds Melanie Zanetti and Giulio Berruti back for the third part of the second movie in the franchise created by Sylvain Reynard.

August 12 – The Disney movie Zombies 3 will debut at 8 PM [the movie has already debuted online on Disney+]

August 13 – The Hallmark Channel movie Romance in Style will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ella’s unique designs inspire publishing mogul Derek to include plus-sized fashion in his magazine. Soon, Derek begins to realize that Ella’s influence reaches far beyond the catwalk. The film stars Jaicy Elliot and Benjamin Hollingsworth.

August 14 – Evil will air its season finale online on Paramount+ today

August 14 – The new series in the franchise – Tales of the Walking Dead – will debut both online on AMC+ and on AMC at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series consists of six original one-hour standalone episodes that will focus on both new and established characters within the walker apocalypse. Each episode will have its own distinct tone and point of view — but the stakes are high in each story, pushing new, indelible characters with relentless, life-threatening choices and situations. The ensemble cast will include Anthony Edwards, Daniella Pineda, Embeth Davidtz, Jessie T. Usher, Olivia Munn, Parker Posey, Samantha Morton and Terry Crews.

August 14 – The UPtv movie Love, Game, Match will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When economics teacher and new-in-town Liz challenges her high school students to create business plans, she has no idea that the class winners will actually start their own matchmaking service! Asked to set up her own profile to help them kickstart their careers, as well as team up with handsome tennis coach Ted to organize the school carnival, Liz must navigate the dynamics of this new school, as well as the algorithms of her own heart. The cast includes Cristine Prosperi, Sylvia Grace Crim and Dale Moss.

August 14 – The 6th and final season of Chesapeake Shores will premiere on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

August 14 – The season finale of Grantchester will air on PBS at 9 PM followed by the season finale of Cobra at 10 PM

August 14 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie The Journey Ahead will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A famous Hollywood actress and a young wilderness expert drive from Los Angeles to New York. Along the way both women learn they can’t run from their past to create the future they want. The film stars Holly Robinson Peete, Kaylee Bryant and Mark Humphrey.

August 14 – The second season premiere of Power Book II: Raising Kanan will air on Starz at 9 PM

August 14 – The season finale of Westworld will air on HBO at 9 PM

August 14 – Bridge & Tunnel will air its season finale on EPIX at 10 PM

August 15 – The series finale of Better Call Saul will air on AMC at 9 PM

August 16 – The new period piece drama Leonardo will debut on The CW at 8 PM followed by the second season premiere of Devils set to air at 9 PM

Show Synopsis (Leonardo): The series recounts Leonardo da Vinci’s (Aidan Turner) extraordinary life through the works that made him famous, through the stories hidden within those works, revealing little by little the inner torment of a man obsessed with attaining perfection. The cast includes Giancarlo Giannini, Freddie Highmore and James D’Arcy [among others].

August 17 – The Netflix movie Look Both Ways will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s (Lili Reinhart) life diverges into parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and remains in her hometown to raise her child and another in which she moves to LA to pursue her dream career. The cast includes Luke Wilson, Aisha Dee and Nia Long.

August 18 – The Disney+ Marvel Universe series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The latest installment of the Marvel Universe, Tatiana Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters (aka She-Hulk), a lawyer who specializes in superhuman-oriented legal cases. The cast includes Jameela Jamil, Josh Segarra, Mark Ruffalo. Renee Elise Goldsberry and Tim Roth.

August 18 – The finale of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will air online on HBO Max today

August 18 – The Australian half-hour drama Mystic will air its season finale of its debut season on UPtv at 9 PM

August 19 – The Netflix drama Echoes will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Identical twins Leni and Gina (played by Michelle Monaghan as adults) have secretly swapped lives since they were children. But their world is thrown into disarray when one sister goes missing. The ensemble cast includes Matt Bomer, Jonathan Tucker, Ali Stoker, Daniel Sunjata, Karen Robinson and Michael O’Neill.

August 19 – The Apple TV+ series Surfside Girls will debut online today

Show Synopsis: This live-action series is about best friends Sam (Yaya Gosselin) and Jade (Miya Cech) as they solve supernatural mysteries in their sleepy California beach town. These best friends must combine their polar-opposite strengths of imagination and logic in order to solve the seemingly supernatural mysteries that hide just beneath the surface of their town.

August 20 – The GAC Family movie Retreat to Paradise will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ellie Vaughn (Stone) tends to cantankerous and injured international tennis star Jordan Greer (Elliott) as he heals from a potentially career-ending shoulder injury. Jordan’s fear of being in even more pain and his lack of motivation has Ellie desiring to leave him in his misery, though longtime coach Neal (Krause) is not ready to throw in the towel on the idea that Jordan will recover and return to the courts.”

August 20 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Dating the Delaneys will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Three generations of Delaney women explore the highs and lows of modern-day dating, learning that love and romance can be found at any age and sometimes where you least expect it. The film stars Rachel Boston and Paul Campbell.

August 21 – The UPtv movie The Engagement Plot will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After getting her heart broken on The Price of Love, a wildly popular dating reality show that matches 20-something female contestants with a young, financially successful bachelor, teacher Hanna Knight (Rachel Boston) has returned to her small-town Colorado life and moved on to better things. But her quiet life is rudely interrupted when Will Preston (Trevor Donovan), the hunk who broke her heart on national TV, shows up unexpectedly with hat in hand – and an outrageous literal proposal.

August 21 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Groundswell will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: On the heels of a personal and professional setback, Emma (Lacey Chabert), a chef from Atlanta, travels to Hawaii where she meets Ben (Ektor Rivera) a handsome, reclusive surf instructor whose lessons help her to regain her footing.

August 21 – The new Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon will debut on HBO at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Based on the George R.R. Martin “Fire & Blood” series, set 200 years before the events of the series Game of Thrones, the series tells the story of House Targaryen. The Targaryen’s include Bethany Antonia, Emma D’Arcy, Ewan Mitchell, Matt Smith, Paddy Considine, Milly Alcock, Phia Saban, Phoebe Campbell and Tom Glynn-Carney. The series also stars Bill Paterson, Fabian Frankel, Graham McTavish, Olivia Cooke and Rhys Ifans.

August 23 – The season finale of Only Murders in the Building will air online today on Hulu

August 23 – The series finale of Motherland: Fort Salem will air on Freeform at 10 PM

August 25 – The new limited series drama Mike will debut online today on Hulu

Limited Series Synopsis: The 8-episode limited series explores the tumultuous ups and downs of the boxing career and personal life of Mike Tyson (Trevante Rhodes) – from being a beloved global athlete to a pariah and back again. The cast includes Grace Zabriskie, Harvey Keitel, Laura Harrier and Russell Hornsby.

August 25 – The new Peacock drama Everything I Know About Love will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The central love story of Everything I Know About Love is between childhood best friends Maggie and Birdy. But it is also a raucous girl gang show, set in a 2012 London house-share inhabited by four girls – Maggie, Birdy and their mates from university, Amara and Nell. The cast includes Bel Powley, Emma Appleton, Marli Siu, Aliyah Odoffin, Jordan Peters and Connor Finch.

August 26 – The third and final season of See will debut online on Apple TV+ today

August 26 – The new Netflix series Partner Track will debut online today

Show Synopsis: At an elite New York City law firm, Ingrid Yun (Arden Cho from Teen Wolf, the MTV thriller series) fights to make partner, and hold onto her principles, while balancing romance, friends and family expectations. The series also stars Dominic Sherwood (Shadowhunters) and Nolan Gerard Funk (The Flight Attendant and Awkward.).

August 27 – The GAC Family movie Love in Bloom will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Amelia (Susie Abromeit) has the perfect life; a successful floristry in Chicago and a boyfriend who is about to propose. When her soon-to-be-married little sister and fiancé become marooned at a mountain retreat days before their wedding in Primrose River Australia, Amelia and the Best Man, Grayson Tanner (Julian Haig), are tasked with stepping in to save the wedding. Amelia finds new meaning in the town’s beautiful gardens, and love when she least expects it.

August 27 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Game, Set, Love will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Former pro tennis player Taylor (Davida Williams) reluctantly agrees to coach her former doubles partner Ashley (Jennifer Khoe) and her new partner Will (Richard Harmon), who needs to repair his reputation and career. Although Taylor and Will clash at first, she’s surprised to discover a different side to him. Even more surprising is when Taylor finds herself entering the tournament with Will after Ashley is sidelined by an injury. As they get ready to compete, the pair learns they just may be a perfect match. The film also stars Tracy Austin.

August 28 – The UPtv movie Styled With Love will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Moving from small town Iowa to Chicago, an ambitious personal stylist hires a professional photographer to help promote her new fashion venture; a partnership which teaches her that when it comes to finding love and success in the city, all you need to do is stay true to the style in your own heart. The cast includes Cory Lee, Dennis Andres and Kathy Maloney.

August 28 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Unthinkably Good Things will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The inaugural movie from the Mahogany division of Hallmark, this made-for-TV movie focuses on Allison (Karen Pittman), who is at a crossroads in her career and love life. She is in need of the love and support of her two friends Melina (Joyful Drake) and Reesa (Erica Ash). When they visit her in Tuscany, the reunion causes each woman to reexamine the state of her own life and relationships. While they have different personalities and perspectives, they know each other’s truths and help to make life-changing decisions. The cast includes Jermaine Love and Lance Gross.

August 28 – The series finale of Animal Kingdom will air on TNT at 9 PM

August 28 – The MTV Video Music Awards will air on MTV at 8 PM

August 31 – DC’s Stargirl will air its season premiere on The CW at 8 PM

August 31 – The Netflix movie I Came By will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: George Mackay plays a rebellious young British graffiti artist Toby — think along the lines of a fictional Banksy — who gains notoriety by breaking into the homes of the very wealthy and then spraying his illegal artistic creations inside. The cast includes Hugh Bonneville and Kelly MacDonald.
