The following list provides the dates of the dramas that will debut, return or end on the major and cable networks as well as the streaming services AND the made-for-TV movies and so much more that all air throughout April:

April 1 – The Amazon drama Slow Horses will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The six-episode drama follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5 – Slough House. Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes. The cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jonathan Pryce, Jack Lowden and Olivia Cooke.

April 1 – The Disney+ feature film Better Nate Than Ever will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: This musical family-comedy, based on the novel of the same name, is about Nate Foster (Rueby Wood), an unpopular 13-year-old middle school student from Pittsburgh who has a goal of one day becoming a Broadway musical star. When Nate is repeatedly overlooked, and never cast in the lead roles he deserves, he and his best friend Libby (Aria Brooks), sneak away to pursue their life’s dreams in the Big Apple. A random encounter with his estranged aunt Heidi (Lisa Kudrow), turns their adventure upside-down. Only together can they make their dreams come true. Norbert Leo Butz also stars.

April 2 – The Lifetime movie Fallen Angels Murder Club: Friends to Die For will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the books by R. Franklin James, Toni Braxton stars as Hollis Morgan, an ex-con turned amateur sleuth set out to investigate a series of murders at her book club. The ensemble cast includes Eddie Cibrian, Henderson Wade, Kaitlyn Leeb, Kelly Hu, Rainbow Sun Francks, Rob Stewart and Yanic Truesdale.

April 2 – The new movie Just One Kiss will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Through a series of chance encounters, sparks fly between college literature professor Mia (Krysta Rodriguez) and Tony (Santino Fontana), a headliner at a Manhattan supper club. Unbeknownst to them, Mia’s mother Marlene (Illeana Douglas) and Tony’s mother Sofia (Aida Turturro) are working some maternal matchmaking magic.

April 3 – The Walking Dead will air its spring finale on AMC+ online today

April 3 – The 2019 movie Run the Race makes its small screen debut on UPtv at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Against the backdrop of high school football and track, two brothers in a small Southern town face escalating problems with two different world views, straining – but ultimately strengthening – the bonds of brotherhood. All-star athlete Zach Truett finds glory on the high school football field — working to earn a college scholarship and a ticket out of town. When a devastating knee injury forces Zach to the sidelines, his brother laces up his cleats to compete in track and field. The cast includes Kristoffer Polaha, Kelsey Reinhardt, Evan Hofer and Tanner Stine.

April 3 – The 64th Annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS at 8 PM

April 3 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Always Amore will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Elizabeth (Autumn Reeser), with the support of her mother-in-law Nonna (Patty McCormack), is doing everything she can to keep her late husband’s once-acclaimed – but now struggling – Italian restaurant afloat. With business going downhill, she is forced to work with a professional restaurant consultant, Ben (Tyler Hynes), to see if they can turn things around. At first, Elizabeth resists the changes Ben believes will save the restaurant, but as they get closer, Elizabeth realizes that not all change is bad. She rediscovers her passion for baking and might even open her heart to new love.

April 4 – The Spectrum Original drama Long Slow Exhale will debut today

Show Synopsis: The drama follows J.C. Abernathy (Rose Rollins), a successful Head Coach of a competitive women’s college basketball team who finds herself in the middle of a potentially career shattering sexual abuse scandal. As she tries to find the truth among the many secrets she uncovers, she has to make hard decisions that will affect her, her family and the team of female athletes who all rely on her. The cast includes Josh Lucas, Ian Harding, Famke Janssen, Lyriq Bent and Brent Sexton.

April 6 – The second season of The Hardy Boys will premiere online on Hulu today

April 7 – The season finale of The Dropout will air online today on Hulu

April 7 – The HBO Max drama Tokyo Vice will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Loosely inspired by American journalist Jake Adelstein’s non-fiction first-hand account of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police beat, the crime drama series, filmed on location in Tokyo, captures Adelstein’s (Ansel Elgort) daily descent into the neon-soaked underbelly of Tokyo in the late ’90s, where nothing and no one is truly what or who they seem. The cast includes Ken Watanabe.

April 8 – The Amazon feature film All the Old Knives will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Ex-lovers and spies Henry and Celia (Chris Pine and Thandie Newton) meet over dinner to reminisce on their time together at Vienna station. The conversation moves to the disastrous hijacking of Royal Jordanian Flight 127, which ended in the deaths of all on board. That failure haunts the CIA to this day, and Henry seeks to close the book on that seedy chapter. Over a sumptuous dinner, it becomes clear that one of them is not going to survive the meal. The film also stars Laurence Fishburne and Jonathan Pryce.

April 8 – The season finales of The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey and Severance will both air on Apple TV+ today

April 9 – The Lifetime movie Fallen Angels Murder Club: Heroes and Felons will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The members of the Fallen Angels Murder Club must band together again as they search for answers surrounding the death of one of their own. Hollis (Toni Braxton) finds herself at the center of the investigation when a journalist reporting on the murder also winds up dead. As bodies begin to stack up, and Hollis connects the dots, she must solve the murders before it’s too late. The ensemble cast also includes Yanic Truesdale, Rainbow Sun Francks,Henderson Wade, Kaitlyn Leeb, Rob Stewart and Kelly Hu.

April 9 – The new movie A Royal Runaway Romance will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Princess Amelia of Bundbury (Philippa Northeast) travels across America to explore a budding romance with an artist, only to fall in love with her bodyguard Grady (Brant Daugherty).

April 9 – The Look Back Diaries will debut online [check online for further details about where to watch]

Show Synopsis: To celebrate the ten year anniversary of The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (LBD), lead star Ashley Clements is launching The Look Back Diaries, a twice weekly vlog show where she will rewatch LBD on the anniversary of each episode, sharing memories, stories, and commentary about the making of the show, her experiences at the time and ten years of perspective. Expect appearances by cast, crew and more along the way.

April 10 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Curious Caterer: Dying for Chocolate will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Goldy (Nikki Deloach) is a spirited, single mom who’s thrust into the role of town sleuth to help solve a friend’s mysterious death. With the clock ticking to find the culprit, Goldy strikes up an unlikely partnership with Detective Tom Schultz (Andrew Walker), who leans into Goldy’s local knowledge. As their relationship shows signs of becoming something more, the suspect list rises. Will Goldy narrow in on the killer before the killer narrows in on her?

April 10 – The new drama 61st Street will debut online on AMC+ today AND on AMC at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: This drama will show what courses through the dark heart of the infamous Chicago criminal justice system as police and prosecutors investigate a deadly drug bust that threatens to unravel the police department’s code of silence. Courtney B. Vance leads an ensemble cast that includes Aunjanue Ellis (King Richard and NCIS: Los Angeles), Mark O’Brien (City on a Hill), Holt McCallany (Mindhunter) and Tosin Cole (Doctor Who).

April 10 – There will be a special presentation of Fear the Walking Dead online today on AMC+

Show Synopsis: The 6-episode limited series focuses on powerful politician James Whitehouse (Rupert Friend) and how the privileged life of his wife Sophie Whitehouse (Sienna Miller) unravels when scandalous secrets surface, and he stands accused of a shocking crime. The cast includes Downton Abbey alum Michelle Dockery.

April 15 – The new Amazon drama Outer Range will debut online today

Show Synopsis:  The series centers on Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), a rancher fighting for his land and family, who discovers an unfathomable mystery at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness. This thrilling Western examines how we grapple with the unknown. At the onset of the series, the Abbotts are coping with the disappearance of daughter-in-law Rebecca. They are pushed further to the brink when the Tillersons (the gaudy owners of the neighboring profit-driven ranch) make a play for their land. The cast includes Will Patton, Lili Taylor, Shaun Sipos and Imogen Poots.

April 15 – The new female-driven 8-episode anthology series Roar will debut online on Apple TV+ today

Show Synopsis: Based on the short stories by Cecelia Ahern, the series offers an insightful, poignant, and sometimes hilarious portrait of what it means to be a woman today. It will feature a unique blend of magical realism, familiar domestic and professional scenarios, and futuristic worlds. Among the cast are Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, Cynthia Erivo, Issa Rae, Merrit Wever and Nicole Kidman.

April 15 – The Roku Channel original drama Swimming with Sharks will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The 6-episode thriller depicts the intense relationship between an arrogant film studio boss, Joyce Holt (Diane Kruger), and a lowly assistant, Lou Simms (Kiernan Shipka).

April 16 – The Hallmark Channel movie Love, Classified will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Romance novelist Emilia (Melora Hardin) is a whirlwind who blows back into the lives of her adult children, Taylor (Katherine McNamara) and Zach (Max Lloyd-Jones), under the pretense of a book signing arranged by her hometown’s local book shop. As Emilia tries to reconnect, Taylor and Zach explore new and past relationships through an app that boasts old-fashioned human connection by way of the classified ad. Zach is given a chance to heal old wounds while Taylor matches with a woman that changes the way she’s always thought about love.

April 17 – The spring premiere of Fear the Walking Dead will air on AMC+ online today

April 17 – The UPtv movie Faith, Hope & Love will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Recent divorcee Faith enters a dance contest to save her dance studio, where she meets Jimmy Hope and rediscovers her faith, and dreams. The film stars Peta Murgatroyd and Robert Krantz.

April 17 – Doctor Who: Legends of the Sea Devils will debut on BBC America at 7 PM (check your local listings for exact air time)

Special Presentation Synopsis: This special presentation finds the Doctor (Jodie Whittaker), Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) in 19th century China, where a small coastal village is under threat – from both the fearsome pirate queen Madame Ching (Crystal Yu) and a monstrous alien force which she unwittingly unleashes.

April 17 – The series finale of Killing Eve will air on BBC America at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: This new drama is a revelatory reframing of American leadership, told through the lens of the women at the heart of the White House. Gillian Anderson will play Eleanor Roosevelt, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford, Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Ellen Burstyn as Sara Delano Roosevelt, Regina Taylor as Marian Shields Robinson, Lily Rabe as Lorena “Hick” Hickok, Kate Mulgrew as Susan Sher, Judy Greer as Nancy Howe and Dakota Fanning as Susan Elizabeth Ford. Also starring are Aaron Eckhart as Gerald Ford, Jackie Earle Haley as Louis McHenry Howe, O-T Fagbenle as Barack Obama and Keifer Sutherland as Franklin D. Roosevelt.

April 17 – The UPtv movie Small Group will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A documentary filmmaker infiltrates a small church group to document how imperfect people live for Christ. When his producer gets angry and exposes him to the church, the director has to deal with the repercussions. The film stars Matt Chastain, Derrick Gilliam, Emily Dunlop and Sterling Hurst.

April 18 – The 6th season premiere of Better Call Saul will air at 9 PM on AMC

April 19 – New Amsterdam will be back with new episodes on NBC at 10 PM starting tonight

April 19 – The two-hour premiere of Mayans M.C. will air on FX at 10 PM

April 22 – The season finale of the Apple TV+ drama WeCrashed will air online today

April 22 – The Netflix feature film Along For the Ride will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: During the summer before college, Auden (Emma Pasarow) meets the mysterious Eli (Belmont Cameli), a fellow insomniac. While the seaside town of Colby sleeps, the two embark on nightly quests to help Auden experience the fun, carefree life she never knew she wanted. The film also stars Kate Bosworth, Andie MacDowell and Dermot Mulroney.

April 22 – The Amazon 3-part series A Very British Scandal will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The original drama focuses on Margaret, Duchess of Argyll (Claire Foy) and Ian Campbell, the 11th Duke of Argyll (Paul Bettany) whose ugly divorce in 1960s England set a new standard for scandal.

April 23 – The Hallmark Channel movie A Tail of Love will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Bella (Brittany Bristow) learns her dog rescue’s future is in question when they lose funding from their main sponsor, a dog food company that’s being sold. The late owner’s son, JR (Chris McNally), is a soldier who is home on leave to handle the sale. During a visit to the rescue JR quickly bonds with Indie, a retired military dog they just took in, and begins spending more time there. When Bella learns the rescue’s property is also being sold, she turns to JR for help with finding the missing document proving her grandparents purchased the land many years before.

April 24 – The movie Kiss the Cook will debut on UPtv at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Kacey, a food blogger with an impressive following, is approached with the opportunity to write her own cookbook. The only problem is, she isn’t a very good cook, but with the help of chef Gavin, they may just have the recipe for success. The cast includes Erica Deutschman and Andrew Bushell.

April 24 – The new drama Gaslit will debut at 8 PM on Starz

Show Synopsis: This limited series is a modern take on Watergate that focuses on the untold stories and forgotten characters of the scandal – from Nixon’s bumbling and opportunistic subordinates to the deranged zealots aiding and abetting their crimes to the tragic whistleblowers who would eventually bring the whole rotten enterprise crashing down. The story will center on Martha Mitchell (Julia Roberts). A big personality with an even bigger mouth. Martha is a celebrity Arkansan socialite and wife to Nixon’s loyal Attorney General, John Mitchell (Sean Penn). Despite her party affiliation, she’s the first person to publicly sound the alarm on Nixon’s involvement in Watergate, causing both the Presidency and her personal life to unravel. The ensemble cast includes Shea Whigham, Patton Oswalt, Dan Stevens, Nate Corddry, Raphael Sbarge, Reed Diamond, Nat Faxon, Chris Messina, Brian Geraghty, Allison Tolman, Anne Dudek and Betty Gilpin.

Show Synopsis: This series will tell the story of American outlaw Billy the Kid (Tom Blyth) [also known as William H. Bonney] from his humble Irish roots, to his early days as a cowboy and gunslinger in the American frontier, to his pivotal role in the Lincoln County War and beyond.

April 24 – The small screen adaptation of The Man Who Fell to Earth will air two back-to-back episodes at 10 and 11 PM on Showtime

Show Synopsis: Inspired by the Walter Tevis novel of the same name and the iconic David Bowie film, the series will follow a new alien character (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who arrives on Earth at a turning point in human evolution and must confront his own past to determine our future. Naomie Harris will play Justin Falls, a brilliant scientist and engineer who must conquer her own demons in the race to save two worlds. The cast includes Bill Nighy, Clarke Peters, Jimmi Simpson and Kate Mulgrew.

April 25 – The season finale of Long Slow Exhale will air exclusively on Spectrum Originals

April 27 – The HBO original telefilm The Survivor will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the incredible true story of Harry Haft (Ben Foster) who, after being sent to Auschwitz, survives not only the unspeakable horrors of the camp, but the gladiatorial boxing spectacle he is forced to perform with his fellow prisoners for the amusement of his captors. Unbeknownst to those who try to destroy him, Haft’s will to survive is driven by his quest to reunite with the woman he loves. The cast includes Danny DeVito, John Leguizamo, Peter Sarsgaard and Billy Magnussen.

April 28 – The Paramount+ 10-episode limited series drama The Offer will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The series will be based on Albert S. Ruddy’s (to be played by Miles Teller) extraordinary, never-before-seen experiences of making the box office movie The Godfather. The cast includes Colin Hanks, Giovanni Ribisi, Matthew Goode, Michael Gandolfini, Josh Zuckerman, Danny Nucci, Dan Fogler, Justin Chambers, Paul McCrane, Eric Balfour, Burn Gorman, Juno Temple and Lou Ferrigno.

April 28 – The season finale of Tokyo Vice will air on HBO Max online today

April 28 – The limited series Under the Banner of Heaven will debut online on FX on Hulu today

Show Synopsis: The limited series, inspired by the true crime best-seller by Jon Krakauer, follows the events that led to the 1984 murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her baby daughter in a suburb in the Salt Lake Valley, Utah. As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events that transpired within the Lafferty family, he uncovers buried truths about the origins of the LDS religion and the violent consequences of unyielding faith. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, unearths leads him to question his own faith. The series also stars Gil Birmingham, Rory Culkin, Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell.

April 29: The new 8-episode Apple TV+ drama Shining Girls will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Based on Lauren Beukes’ best-selling novel, “Shining Girls” follows Kirby Mazrachi (Elisabeth Moss) as a Chicago newspaper archivist whose journalistic ambitions were put on hold after enduring a traumatic assault. When Kirby learns that a recent murder mirrors her own case, she partners with seasoned, yet troubled reporter Dan Velazquez (Wagner Moura), to uncover her attacker’s identity. As they realize these cold cases are inextricably linked, their own personal traumas and Kirby’s blurred reality allow her assailant to remain one step ahead. The cast includes Amy Brenneman, Phillipa Soo and Jamie Bell.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When an aspiring young artist is forced to join her high school track team, she uses it as an opportunity to pursue the girl she’s been harboring a long-time crush on. But she soon finds herself falling for an unexpected teammate and discovers what real love feels like. The film stars Rowan Blanchard, Auli’i Cravalho, Michelle Buteau and Megan Mullally.
