My Top Choices for November TV

By  |

As is the norm at this time of the year, there are a multitude of holiday movies airing from the end of October through nearly Christmas Day; and while I normally watch nearly all of those holiday movies, I have limited my list of movies set to air in November to the top 7 [mainly due to the lead actors appearing in each one] along with a couple new dramas that will be debuting, one special that I can’t wait to see, a couple of non-holiday movies and one returning drama.

Here is my top list of programming choices for November:

SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Adele is going to be making her first televised interview with Oprah Winfrey on CBS on November 14 at 8:30 PM. The two-hour conversation will cover her new album, the stories behind the new songs, her life after divorce, her weight loss and raising her son.

HOLIDAY MOVIES

The following Hallmark Channel movies will all air at 8 PM:

Open By Christmas on November 12, starring Alison Sweeney, Erica Durance and Brennan Elliott.

A Christmas Together With You on November 20, starring Laura Vandervoort and Niall Matter.

A Kiss Before Christmas on November 21, James Denton, Teri Hatcher and Marilu Henner.

The Nine Kittens of Christmas (the sequel to The Nine Lives of Christmas) on November 25, starring Brandon Routh, Kimberley Sustad and Gregory Harrison.

The other holiday movies include:

Every Time a Bell Rings on November 18 on Hallmark Movies Now, starring Erin Cahill, Brittany Ishibashi, Ali Leibert and Wes Brown.

Royally Wrapped for Christmas on November 27 at 8 PM on GAC Family, starring Jen Lilley and Brendan Fehr.

A Christmas Witness on ION on November 28 at 8 PM, starring Arielle Kebbel and Colin Egglesfield.

COMING BACK FOR MORE

The highly anticipated two-hour season premiere of the 4th season of Yellowstone will air on the Paramount Network on November 7 at 9 PM.

NEW DRAMAS

While we are heading into the holidays, two new dramas that will be debuting in November are either superhero related or fantasy-based. They are

The Wheel of Time, based on the Robert Jordan novel series, will debut on Amazon Prime on November 19. Rosamund Pike plays the lead character, a member of the Aes Sedai, a powerful organization of women who can use magic. She takes a group of five young people on a journey around the world, believing one of them might be the reincarnation of the Dragon, a powerful individual prophesied to either save the world or destroy it.

The Marvel character Hawkeye will debut on Disney+ on November 24. While in New York City post-Blip, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) must work together with the young archer Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to confront enemies from his past in order to get back to his family in time for Christmas.

MORE MOVIES

The two non-holiday-themed movies that are debuting in November that I’m most anxious to see include:

The Netflix film Red Notice will debut on November 12. An Interpol-issued red notice is a global alert to hunt and capture the world’s most wanted. But when a daring heist brings together the FBI’s top profiler (Dwayne Johnson) and two rival criminals (Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds), there’s no telling what will happen.

The Peacock movie Psych 3: This Is Gus will debut on November 18. In preparation for a shotgun wedding before the birth of Baby Guster, Shawn (James Roday Rodriguez) and Gus (Dule Hill) go rogue in an attempt to track down Selene’s estranged husband, as Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) grapples with the future of his career.

Our full November calendar will go live in a few days. Once you’ve had a chance to look at everything that will be airing next month, please share your top choices.
