CBS
New Show Introduction: Ghosts
This October CBS will be bringing us a new sitcom titled Ghosts. Based on the 2019 BBC series of the same name, Ghosts will star Rose McIver (Once Upon a Time, iZombie) and Utkarsh Ambudkar (Pitch Perfect, Never Have I Ever). They will play a married couple, Samantha and Jay, who inherit a house haunted by…you guessed it…ghosts.
Having watched the BBC version (available in the States on HBO Max) I have some pretty high hopes for the US Version. Turning British shows into US shows hasn’t always successful though. However Rose McIver is delightful to watch and Utkarsh has great comedic timing so here’s hoping they mesh well together and we get a new gem. I’m also pretty excited to see all of the different costumes from the various time periods. Check out the photos below to get a peek at what I’m talking about.
Let us know in the comments if you will be tuning in to Ghosts this season.
The official synopsis from CBS:
Samantha and Jay throw caution to the wind when they convert their recently inherited country estate into a bed-and-breakfast. Call it mislaid plans. Not only is the place falling apart, but it’s also inhabited by spirits of previous residents — whom only Samantha can see and hear. Ghosts spins the funny, heartfelt story about a newfound dream that reveals connection and self-discovery aren’t just for the living.
Rounding out the cast are some really great/recognizable actors: Rebecca Wisocky (The Mentalist, For All Mankind) as Hetty, Devan Chandler Long (Runaways, Bosch) as Thorfinn, Richi Moriarty (Adam Ruins Everything) as Pete, Brandon Scott Jones (The Good Place) as Isaac, Danielle Pinnock (Young Sheldon) as Alberta, Asher Grodman (Chicago Med, Succession) as Trevor, Sheila Carrasco (Jane the Virgin) as Flower and Román Zaragoza (Austin & Ally) as Sasappis.
Ghosts airs October 7th on CBS
