The following list provides the dates of the new dramas that will air on streaming services as well as the major and cable networks and the made-for-TV movies and more that will all air during October.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that any of the following could easily change because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has altered our lives and TV production permanently.

October 1 – Gangs of London is the new drama that will debut online on AMC+

Show Synopsis: The 10-episode action-thriller is set in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic and multicultural cities, telling the story of a city being torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of the international gangs that control it and the sudden power vacuum that’s created when the head of London’s most powerful crime family is assassinated. The series stars a Joe Cole, Sope Dirisu, Colm Meaney and Michelle Fairley.

October 1 – The limited series The Salisbury Poisonings will also debut today on AMC+

Show Synopsis: In March 2018, the eyes of the world turned to the British city of Salisbury when it became the epicenter of what has been described as one of the biggest political events of the 21st century – but until now, the heroic acts behind the headlines have not been told. Within three days of the assassination attempt on double agent and spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, key agencies discovered that a lethal nerve agent called Novichok was used, just half a teaspoon of which could kill 20,000 people. Within four days, hundreds of traces were found across the city, and, just when things were finally thought to be under control, a perfume bottle containing the nerve agent was discovered, throwing the investigation into renewed chaos. The cast includes Rafe Spall, MyAnna Buring, Marie-Anne Duff and Johnny Harris.

October 1 – The season finale of Raised By Wolves will air on HBO Max today

October 2 – Emily in Paris is the new dramedy that will debut on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: When ambitious Chicago marketing exec Emily (Lily Collins) unexpectedly lands her dream job in Paris, she embraces a new life as she juggles work, friends and romance. The cast includes Kate Walsh and Ashley Park.

October 2 – The new Hulu drama Monsterland will debut online

Show Synopsis: Encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and other strange beasts drive broken people to desperate acts in this anthology series based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud called North American Lake Monsters. The ensemble cast includes Adepero Oduye, Adria Arjona, Charlie Tahan, Hamish Linklater, Jonathan Tucker, Kaitlyn Dever, Kelly Marie Tran, Mike Colter, Nicole Beharie and Taylor Schilling.

October 2 – The 2nd season of Warrior will premiere on Cinemax at 10 PM

October 3 – The Hallmark Channel movie Country at Heart will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Struggling Nashville singer/songwriter Shayna Cook (Jessy Schram) is on the verge of giving up on her career and returns to her small-town home of Silverado just as their local music festival is about to kick off, when a chance encounter with prolific songwriter Grady Connor (Niall Matter) changes everything. He’s trying to write a song for country music star Duke Sterling (Lucas Bryant) and Shayna seems like the perfect writing partner. Shayna and Grady grow close and romance blooms as they work on their love song but when she meets Duke, he begins to see her star potential and asks her to be his opening act at the upcoming festival. Although this seems like the opportunity of a lifetime for Shayna, the contentious history between Duke and Grady threatens to undermine everything she and Grady created. As her big break at the music festival approaches, Shayna feels forced to choose between love and possible stardom.

October 4 – Pandora will return for the start of its 2nd season on The CW at 8 PM

October 4 – The season finale of Power Book II: Ghost will air on Starz at 8 PM

October 4 – The second season premiere of the period piece Britannia will premiere on EPIX at 9 PM

October 4 – The series debut of Flesh and Blood will air on PBS at 9 PM followed by the debut of Cobra at 10 PM

Show Synopsis (Flesh and Blood): Lives of three siblings (Claudie Blakley, Russell Tovey, and Lydia Leonard) are disrupted when their recently widowed mother (Francesca Annis) declares she’s in love with a new man (Stephen Rae). Tangled web of secrets, lies, rivalries and betrayals eventually leads to a murder. The next-door neighbor will be played by Imelda Staunton and the detective trying to work out whether an unfortunate incident was an accident or a heinous crime will be played by David Bamber.

Show Synopsis (Cobra): The 6-part series follows the British Prime Minister and his emergency committee as they navigate a major crisis and its political and personal fallout. The series stars Robert Carlyle, David Haig and Victoria Hamilton.

October 4 – The Showtime series The Good Lord Bird will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Told from the point of view of Onion (Joshua Johnson-Lionel), a fictional enslaved boy who becomes a member of John Brown’s (Ethan Hawke) motley family of abolitionist soldiers and eventually finds himself participating in the famous 1859 raid at Harpers Ferry. The series also stars Daveed Diggs, David Morse, Orlando Jones and Steve Zahn.

October 4 – The 10th season finale of The Walking Dead will finally air on AMC at 9 PM followed by the spin-off series The Walking Dead: World Beyond will debut at 10:06 PM

Show Synopsis: A group of teenagers sheltered from the dangers of the post-apocalyptic world receive a message that inspires them to leave the safety of the only home they have ever known and embark on a cross-country journey to save their father. The series stars Julia Ormond, Nico Tortella andAnnet Mahendru [among others].

October 4 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Follow Your Heart will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Kathy Yoder (Galadriel Stineman) is a travel writer who has left her Amish ways behind, but when she returns home to settle her father’s affairs, she is tempted to return to her former lifestyle. The cast includes Kevin Joy and Jonathan Patrick Moore.

October 5 – The AMC drama Soulmates will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Set fifteen years into the future, when science has made a discovery that changes the lives of everyone on the planet – a test that unequivocally tells you who your soulmate is. The cast includes Betsy Brandt, David Costabile, J.J. Feild, Joe Anderson, Malin Akerman and Sarah Snook.

October 6 – The new FOX drama NEXT will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: This propulsive, fact-based thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-pounding action with a layered examination of how technology is invading our lives. John Slattery stars as a Silicon Valley pioneer, who discovers that one of his own creations – a powerful A.I. – might spell global catastrophe. He teams up with a cybercrime agent (Fernanda Andrade) to fight a villain unlike anything we’ve ever seen – one whose greatest weapon against us is ourselves. The cast includes Eve Harlow, Jason Butler Harner and Michael Mosely.

October 6 – The thriller Swamp Thing will make its broadcast debut on The CW at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: The thriller follows Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed) as she investigates what seems to be a deadly swamp-born virus in a small town in Louisiana but soon discovers that the swamp holds mystical and terrifying secrets. The cast includes Derek Mears as Swamp Thing, Ian Ziering, Jennifer Beals, Henderson Wade, Michael Beach, Virginia Madsen, Will Patton and Kevin Durand.

October 7 – The Hulu film Books of Blood will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Based on the Clive Barker horror anthology, the film takes audiences on a journey into uncharted and forbidden territory through three uncanny tales tangled in space and time. The cast includes Britt Robertson, Anna Friel, Rafi Gavron and Yul Vazquez.

October 7 – The new series Devils will debut on The CW at 8 PM followed by the premiere of the second season of Coroner at 9 PM

Show Synopsis (Devils): This international thriller follows Massimo Ruggero (Alessandro Borghi), the charismatic yet ruthless Head of Trading at NYL, one of the world’s most important investment banks, and his mentor, NYL’s CEO Dominic Morgan (Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy). After Dominic appoints another colleague over Massimo following a bitter promotion battle, Massimo finds himself named prime suspect in a murder investigation. Fighting to clear his name, Massimo becomes involved in an intercontinental financial war and is forced to choose between supporting Dominic or going up against him. The cast includes Lars Mikkelsen and Malachi Kirby.

October 8 – The new drama Code 404 will debut its first season on Peacock

Show Synopsis: DI John Major (Daniel May) and DI Roy Carver (Stephen Graham) are the best of the best at an elite police unit in London. After Major’s cover is blown and he is met with his untimely death, he is brought back to life with some glitchy AI technology. Now, he’s better than ever – or so he thinks.

October 8 – The box office movie Charm City Kings will debut on HBO Max today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Fourteen-year-old Mouse (Jahi Di’Allo Winston) desperately wants to join the Midnight Clique, an infamous group of Baltimore dirt-bike riders who rule the summertime streets. The movie also stars Meek Mill and Will Catlett.

October 8 – Supernatural will return for the start of its final 7 episodes (EVER!) on The CW at 8 PM followed by the third season premiere of The Outpost at 9 PM

October 9 – The season finale of the second season of The Boys will air on Amazon Prime today

October 9 – The second season of the anthology series The Haunting of…Bly Manor will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: Flashing between past and present, a fractured family confronts haunting memories of their old home and the terrifying events that drove them from it. The cast includes Annabeth Gish, Carla Gugino, Elizabeth Reaser, Henry Thomas, Mckenna Grace, Michiel Huisman, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Timothy Hutton.

October 9 – The new drama The Right Stuff will debut on Disney+ today

Show Synopsis: The incredible story of the early days of the U.S. space program, based on the iconic bestseller by Tom Wolfe. At the height of the Cold War, newly-formed NASA selects seven of the military’s best test pilots to become astronauts. Competing to be the first in space, these men achieve the extraordinary, inspiring the world to turn towards a new horizon of ambition and hope. The ensemble cast includes Colin O’Donoghue, Danny Strong, Eloise Mumford, Eric Ladin, Jake McDorman, James Lafferty, Josh Cooke, Nora Zehetner, Patrick Fischler, Patrick J. Adams and Shannon Lucio.

October 10 – The Hallmark Channel movie My Best Friend’s Bouquet will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: According to Josie Hughes’ (Chaley Rose) family lore, the wedding bouquet always finds the right person. When single Josie catches her friend Emma’s (Luisa d’Oliveira) bouquet instead of their not-single friend Athena (Rebecca Olson), she fears she’s ruined Athena’s chances of getting engaged. When Josie starts dating an eligible bachelor she met at the reception, she decides the bouquet is at work. What she doesn’t know is her long-time friend Alex (Nathan Witte) secretly holds a torch for her. As Josie clings to the notion that the bouquet is always right, she’s missing real-world signs that her perfect match has been in front of her all along.

October 10 – The 2013 crime drama The Fall will debut on Ovation at 7 PM

Show Synopsis: Metropolitan Police Superintendent Stella Gibson (Gillian Anderson), a senior investigating officer who reviews investigations, is seconded to the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) to assess the progress of a murder investigation that has remained active for longer than 28 days. When it becomes apparent that a serial killer is on the loose, local detectives must work with Stella to find and capture Paul Spector, who is attacking young professional women in the city of Belfast. As time passes Stella’s team works tirelessly to build a case but they are met with complications inside and outside the PSNI. Jamie Dornan also stars (as serial killer Paul Spector).

October 11 – The second season of The Spanish Princess will premiere on Starz at 8 PM

October 11 – The UPtv movie Happily Never After will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A novelist believes her torturous writing days with her ex-boyfriend are long over, until her publisher demands a sequel to a book they wrote and old feelings start to surface. The film stars Danielle Savre, Rick Cosnett and Bianca Santos.

October 11 – Fear the Walking Dead will air its premiere episode of its sixth season on AMC at 9 PM

October 11 – The new movie Picture Perfect Mysteries: Exit Stage Death will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: While backstage on opening night of a new play by celebrated murder mystery author/director Neil Khan, photographer Allie Adams (Alexa PenaVega) discovers the body of the show’s leading lady, murdered before the curtain went up. As Willow Haven PD Detective Sam Acosta (Carlos PenaVega) launches his investigation, he invites Allie – who has been helpful in solving his first two murder cases since joining the force — to unofficially assist him on the. case. However, Allie’s involvement makes her a target for murder herself when she gets too close to the truth. Willie Aames also stars.

October 13 – The second season of Tell Me A Story will premiere on The CW at 9 PM

October 15 – Star Trek: Discovery will air its third season premiere on CBS All Access today

October 15 – The HBO Max reunion special for the series The West WingA West Wing Special To Benefit When We All Vote – will debut online today

Special Synopsis:  Martin Sheen and his co-stars including Allison Janney, Janel Moloney, Dule Hill, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, Rob Lowe, and more gather for a recorded script reading of season three’s episode Hartsfield’s Landing, as part of their organized effort to get out the vote for the 2020 presidential election.  When We All Vote is an organization dedicated to increasing participation in American elections. co-chaired by former First Lady Michelle Obama, who will also make an appearance on the special.

October 16 – The Hulu drama Helstrom will debut online today

Show Synopsis: As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, the series follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity – each with their own attitude and skills. The cast includes Elizabeth Marvel, Robert Wisdom, David Meunier and Daniel Cudmore.

October 16 – The new series Grand Army will debut online on Netflix today

Show Synopsis: Five students at the largest public high school in Brooklyn take on a chaotic world as they fight to succeed, survive, break free and seize the future.

October 16 – The movie Clouds will debut online on Disney+ today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Inspired by an incredible true story, this movie is a poignant and beautiful look at the heartbreaking duality of life and a testament to what can happen when you start to live as if each day might be your last. Zach Sobiech (Fin Argus) is a fun-loving high school student with raw musical talent living with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer. At the start of his senior year, he is ready to take on the world, however when he receives the news that the disease has spread, he and his best friend and songwriting partner, Sammy (Sabrina Carpenter), decide to spend Zach’s limited time following their dreams. October 17 – The Hallmark Channel movie Sweet Autumn will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Maggie (Nikki DeLoach), a successful entrepreneur, returns home for a will reading and discovers she’s inherited half of her aunt’s famed maple candy business. What she doesn’t understand is why Aunt Dee’s maple supplier, Dex (Andrew Walker), inherited the other half. Her return also coincides with the town’s Sweet Autumn Fest, and through a series of letters Aunt Dee left, Maggie and Dex search for the reason behind her aunt’s final wishes. As she and Dex grow closer, Maggie must decide if the life she built is the one she wants.

October 18 – The UPtv movie The Time Capsule will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After ten years, a group of high school friends reunite at their alma mater’s field house to dig up their time capsule. When they open the time capsule they decide to relive their fun high school moments which inspire a newfound relationship as well as heal broken hearts. The cast includes Shane Harper, Penelope Mitchell, Chris Kattan and Reginald VelJohnson.

October 18 – The season finale of Lovecraft Country will air at 9 PM on HBO

October 18 – The 6-episode series The Trouble With Maggie Cole will debut on PBS at 8 PM

Show Synopsis: See what happens when idle gossip escalates out of control and starts to affect people’s lives. Set in a picturesque fishing village, the series centers on Maggie Cole (Dawn French), the self-appointed oracle of this close-knit community.

October 18 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Reunited and It Feels So Deadly will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Aurora’s high school reunion turns deadly when a body is found in the hotel pool. Aurora and her Real Murders Club help investigate which classmate was most likely to kill. The movie stars Candace Cameron Bure, Niall Matter, and Marilu Henner.

October 19 – The season finale of The Third Day will air on HBO at 9 PM

October 21 – The movie Rebecca will debut on Netflix today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A young newlywed arrives at her husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast and finds herself battling the shadow of his first wife, Rebecca, whose legacy lives on in the house long after her death. The cast includes Lily James, Armie Hammer, Kristin Scott Thomas, Keeley Hawes and Ann Dowd.

October 22 – The box office movie Roald Dahl’s The Witches (that was to be released in theatres) will actually debut on HBO Max today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie tells the story of a young boy (Jahzir Bruno and voiced by Chris Rock as an adult) who stumbles upon a secret coven of witches, and, with the help of his loving grandmother (Octavia Spencer), must try to foil their evil plan to turn all the world’s children into mice. The cast includes Anne Hathaway as the menacing Grand High Witch. Kristin Chenoweth and Stanley Tucci.

October 23 – The Netflix 6-episode mini-series The Queen’s Gambit will debut online today

Show Synopsis: During the Cold War era, an orphaned chess prodigy (Anya Taylor-Joy) struggles with addiction on a quest to become the greatest player in the world. The cast includes Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Harry Melling.

October 23 – The Lifetime holiday movie Christmas on Ice will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Courtney Bennett (Abigail Klein), a former US figure skating hopeful, runs the city’s public skating rink but when the Mayor (Will Lyman) announces its closing, Courtney is heartbroken but determined to save it. After Courtney’s attempts to warm the Mayor’s Scrooge-like heart fail, she enlists the help of Noah Tremblay (Ryan Cooper), a former professional hockey player and single dad, who owns the new indoor skating center, to help her, and together they find more than just the spirit of holidays on the ice.

October 24 – The holiday movie Christmas Unwrapped will debut on Lifetime at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The movie follows Charity (Amber Stevens West), an ambitious reporter, who learns the true meaning of Christmas when she investigates Erik Gallagher (Marco Grazzini), a beloved member of the town who insists all the gifts he provides are from none-other than Santa himself. Cheryl Ladd also stars.

October 24 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie Jingle Bell Bride will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Wedding planner Jessica Perez (Julie Gonzalo) travels to a remote town in Alaska to find a rare flower for a celebrity client and is charmed by the small town during Christmas, as well as the handsome local (Ronnie Rowe Jr.) helping her.

October 24 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries holiday movie Christmas Tree Lane will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Music store owner Meg (Alicia Witt) spearheads the community effort to save the Christmas Tree Lane shopping district from demolition. As she finds herself falling for Nate (Andrew Walker), a recent acquaintance, she’s thrown when she learns his surprising tie to the developer.

October 25 – The PBS series Flesh and Blood will air it season finale at 9 PM

October 25 – The movie Forever Christmas [also known as Mr. 365 as shown on Passionflix] will debut on Lifetime at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When workaholic reality TV producer Sophie (Chelsea Hobbs) starts working on a holiday-season show about Will (Christopher Russell), a wildly sexy guy who celebrates Christmas every day of the year, she finds herself falling for her mysterious, unlikely new star, renewing her long-lost faith in Christmas in the process.

October 25 – Chateau Christmas will debut on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM:

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Margot (Merritt Patterson), a world-renowned pianist, returns to Chateau Newhaus to spend the holidays with her family and is reunited with an ex (Luke Macfarlane) who helps her rediscover her passion for music.

October 25 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Deliver by Christmas will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Bakery owner Molly (Alvina August) meets Josh (Eion Bailey), a widower who recently moved to town with his young son, but she is also charmed by a mysterious client whom she’s never met in person and doesn’t realize that they’re the same man.

October 25 – The 6-episode HBO limited series The Undoing will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: The series follows Grace (Nicole Kidman) and Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant), who are living the only lives they ever wanted for themselves. Overnight, a chasm opens in their lives: a violent death and a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and her family. The cast includes Donald Sutherland, Edgar Ramirez, Lily Rabe and Ismael Cruz Cordova.

October 26 – The series Temple will debut on Spectrum today

Show Synopsis: In this character-driven drama, a brilliant but haunted surgeon, Daniel Milton (Mark Strong), sacrifices everything for love when he opens an illegal medical clinic in the network of tunnels beneath London’s Temple subway station. When word of the clinic starts to spread among outcasts and the criminal underworld, Daniel becomes entrenched in dangerous battles between life and death – and one for his very soul. The cast includes Carice Van Houten (Game of Thrones) and Daniel Mays (Good Omens).

October 27 – The season finale of The Haves and the Have Nots will air on OWN at 8 PM

October 27 – The two-hour season premiere of This Is Us will air on NBC at 9 PM

October 28 – The Netflix movie Holidate will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Fed up with being single on holidays, two strangers – Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey) agree to be each other’s platonic plus-ones all year long, only to catch real feelings along the way. The cast includes Kristin Chenowth, Jessica Capshaw, Frances Fisher, King Bach, Manish Dayal and Make Manley.

October 29 – The third and final season of Deutschland 89 will premiere on Sundance at 11 PM

October 30 – The Lifetime holiday movie A Crafty Christmas Romance will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS:  Mandy (Nicola Posener), the owner of a craft and hobby store, discovers an old copy of “A Christmas Carol” among donations for a book drive. In the book is a letter to Santa from 70 years ago along with a valuable coin. Mandy sets out to find the owner of the book, letter and coin with the help of Jonah (Bradford B. Johnson), a contractor who first came upon and donated the book. Along the way, they find clues that lead them closer to the author, and to each other, but can Mandy return everything to the book owner in time for Christmas and make her own Christmas wish come true?

October 30 – The second season of The Mandalorian will premiere on Disney+ today

October 31 – The holiday movie Candy Cane Christmas will debut on Lifetime at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Since childhood, Candy Cane Lane has been Phoebe’s (Beverley Mitchell) favorite Christmas tradition of an entire neighborhood decorated for the holidays. This Christmas, however, the neighborhood decides to skip the decorations, crushing her spirits. As Phoebe is searching for a new tradition to cheer her up, she realizes that it’s not the traditions we cherish, but the people we spend them with. The cast includes Mark Ghanimé.

October 31 – The Hallmark Channel holiday movie One Royal Holiday will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Anna (Laura Osnes) offers a stranded mother (Victoria Clark) and son (Aaron Tveit) shelter in a blizzard, she learns that they are the Royal Family of Galwick. Anna shows the Prince how they do Christmas in her hometown, encouraging him to open his heart and be true to himself. The cast includes Krystal Joy Brown and Tom McGowan.

October 31 – The holiday movie Cranberry Christmas will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A separated couple (Nikki DeLoach and Benjamin Ayres) feign marital bliss on national television to help their town’s Christmas festival — and their business. But what will the future hold for them when rekindled love is complicated by new opportunities
