Blindspot Roundtable: Ghost Train

By  |

Blindspot aired a new episode this week titled “Ghost Train” which focused on the following:

The team scrambles to get ahead of Madeline and Ivy as they close in on the bunker’s location, but someone on the inside is feeding Madeline information. As her plan takes shape, the team may be forced to take desperate measures.

STUPID

Roz: The hell team? How can you fall for something in the end and let Madeline win? I DO NOT LIKE THIS!

Cay: Weitz and Afreen seem so dumb to keep talking about this within the FBI headquarters. Why would they not suspect that Madeline had the whole place under surveillance? It would also be really dumb of Afreen to not make a copy of those files before corrupting them, so I really hope that she did!

Rueben: I’m upset that the team got caught. I mean, I guess it was a matter of time, but I didn’t want to see it go down this way. I wanted to see them take Madeline down. I just want that woman (and that bitch Ivy) wiped from the planet.

Lisa: I am not happy one bit. I am hoping there is a turn or twist over the next 3 episodes but I didn’t want to see the team get caught. And I am sick about Patterson. She didn’t deserve to die lie like that.

AWESOME

Roz: I love Rich and Patterson having a good heart-to-heart about what they feel about each other, even if that was small.

Cay: Yeah, there were not a lot of awesome parts of this episode for me, so when in doubt, I’m with Roz, Rich and Patterson are always the best parts of the episode. I also like the idea that Boston was helping the team and was the one in Times Square in the first episode and is still out there.

Rueben: Rich and Patterson are always the best part of every episode. I, too, was pleased that Keaton, Allie and Boston were working together to help the team. At least we know now who the mystery person(s) was/were. Keaton was put in an untenable position sadly.

Lisa: We all agree that Rich and Patterson are always the highlight of the show. I loved their interaction where they shared their feeling for one another. It was sweet, but as soon as it happened I had the feeling something bad would happen, and boy did it.

SO SO

Roz: DAMMIT KEATON! You looked like you were a good guy and then you didn’t! I hate that the team is grasping for straws and all of them are not doing what we need.

Cay: While I assume that Madeline won’t win in the end, because almost no shows end like that, it was really frustrating to see the whole team caught (except Patterson). This likely means that they will need to count on outsiders to save them rather than being able to save themselves.

Rueben: I’m numb over Patterson. I don’t want to believe it! I can’t believe they would end her character that way.

Lisa: I’m with Rueben. I can’t believe they would have her go out like that, and I really don’t see how she could have survived it. Stranger things have happened and I hope that she survived in a secret bunker some how and she can rescue the team but it seems very unlikely.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz: How is this all going to end in a good way for the team in three episodes?

Cay: Here’s my prediction: I don’t think Patterson is actually dead – they showed us all those tunnels and kept talking about “Plan B”, so I think she somehow crawled into one in the last seconds. I think she will somehow link up with Boston and Afreen and save the team and bring down Madeline.

Rueben: We get a double header next week and it would seem that Madeline wants one of them to take all the blame and that Jane is offering herself up, but I’m hoping that perhaps (long chance I know) the team has a long game playing here with something up their sleeves. I want to see Afreen pull a surprise twist (like what Cay said that she kept back-ups of of all the blackmail material) and that Weitz will grow some balls and figure out a way to take Madeline and Ivy down for good. If Patterson is truly, 100% dead, the team owes it to her to get them and get them good.

Lisa: I just don’t know how this is going to be wrapped up in 3 episodes? All I know is that bitch Madeline needs to go down and I don’t care how, it just needs to happen.

The next new episodes – back-to-back episodes in fact – of Blindspot will air on NBC on Thursday, July 9 at 8/7c and 9/8c.
