The following list provides the dates of the new dramas that will air on streaming services as well as the major and cable networks and the made-for-TV movies and more that will all air during April:

NOTE: Please keep in mind that any of the following could easily change because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has altered our lives and TV production permanently.

April 1 – The series finale of The Magicians will air on Syfy at 10 PM

April 2 – The two-hour season premiere of Siren will air on Freeform at 9 PM

April 2 – How to Get Away with Murder will air its spring premiere on ABC at 10:01 PM

April 3 – The complete third season of Future Man will air on Hulu today

April 3 – The new streaming series Home Before Dark will debut on Apple TV+ today

Show Synopsis: The series follows a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father left behind. While there, her dogged pursuit of the truth leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury. Inspired by the reporting of young investigative journalist Hilde Lysiak. The cast includes Brooklyn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Joelle Rogers, Abby Miller and Michael Weston.

April 3 – Tales From the Loop is the new streaming series set to debut on Amazon today

Show Synopsis: Inspired by the wondrous paintings of Simon Stålenhag, the series explores the mind-bending adventures of the people who live above the Loop, a machine built to unlock and explore the mysteries of the universe – making things previously relegated to science fiction, possible. The series stars Jonathan Pryce, Rebecca Hall and Paul Schneider.

April 3 – The series finale of Hawaii Five-0 will air at 9 PM on CBS

April 4 – The third season of Frankie Drake Mysteries will premiere on Ovation at 7 PM

April 4 – The new Hallmark Channel movie You’re Bacon Me Crazy will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Cleo Morelli (Natalie Hall), a spunky young chef with a popular food truck in Portland, becomes a favorite among the bustling and competitive local food scene. But when Gabe (Michael Rady), the handsome chef of a rival food truck, parks across the street, Cleo’s goal to win a local food truck competition takes a turn.

April 5 – The finale of The Walking Dead will air on AMC at 9 PM

April 5 – The new movie Ruby Herring Mysteries: Prediction Murder will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Shortly after being named Seattle 57 News’ TV crime reporter, Ruby Herring (Taylor Cole) begins receiving anonymous tips when a cold case – the unsolved murder of a psychic – is reopened, and teams up with Seattle PD detective Jake Killian (Stephen Huszar) to find the killer. She’s encouraged by her dad, retired detective John Herring (John Wesley Shipp), to follow her keen instincts. Together, Ruby and Jake uncover a plot to frame an innocent person who everyone involved with the case to seems to think is the ideal candidate for the five-year-old murder of a local tarot card reader.

April 5 – The season finale of War of the Worlds will air on EPIX at 9 PM

April 5 – The new 7-part mini-series World on Fire will debut on PBS at 9 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: This adrenalized emotionally gripping and resonant World War II drama follows the intertwining fates of ordinary people in five countries as they grapple with the effects of the war on their everyday lives. The cast includes Helen Hunt (As Good As it Gets, Mad About You), Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread), Jonah Hauer-King (Little Women and Howard’s End) and Blake Harrison (A Very English Scandal).

April 6 – The new Acorn TV 4-part series Deadwater Fell will debut online today

Show Synopsis: Dr. Kendrick (David Tennant), a trusted, admired and much-liked member of the community, who is a doting father to three little girls, is seemingly the loving husband whose marriage to Kate (Anne Madeley) appears nothing short of perfect. But in one night the illusions of happiness and contentment are shattered as the community is drawn to Kate and Tom’s home in the forest by the flicker of flames and the smell of smoke. Amid the confusion, Kate and her children are found dead, and Tom, found unconscious in his bed, is rushed to the hospital. As more suspicious details of that night emerge, Jess – who was Kate’s best friend and closest confidante – becomes desperate to understand what could have caused such a tragedy, and what secrets lie at the root of this terrible act.

April 6 – The season finale of Manifest will air at 10 PM on NBC

April 6 – The new streaming services Quibi – for your cell phones only – will debut online today

When the Street Lights Go On: After the murder of a beautiful young girl rocks a suburban community, the victim’s sister and her high school peers must struggle to find a sense of normalcy while coming of age in the midst of the murder investigation. The cast includes Queen Latifah, Cameron Bancroft, Kristine Froseth, Mark Duplass

Most Dangerous Game: Desperate to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life, Dodge Maynard (Liam Hemsworth) accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter… but the prey. This dystopian action-thriller explores the limits of how far someone would go to fight for their life and their family. The series also stars Christolph Waltz, Sarah Gadon, Billy Burke and Jimmy Akingbola.

Survive: Jane (Sophie Turner) wants to end it all. Then a plane crash almost ends it for her. Now she’s crawling from the wreckage with the only other survivor (Corey Hawkins) and a new drive to stay alive. Together they embark on a harrowing journey out of the wilderness, battling brutal conditions and personal traumas. Based on the critically acclaimed novel of the same name by Alex Morel.

The Fugitive: Inspired by the box office film, the series shows what happens to the life and family of Mike Ferro (Boyd Holbrooke) as he becomes The Fugitive. The cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Natalie Martinez, Brian Geraghty, Genesis Rodriguez and Tiya Sircar.

April 7 – The season finale of The Resident will air on FOX at 8 PM followed by the 100th episode of Empire at 9 PM

April 8 – Nancy Drew will return with new episodes starting tonight on The CW at 9 PM

April 9 – The season premiere of The Good Fight will air on CBS All Access today

April 9 – The season finale of Grey’s Anatomy will air on ABC at 9 PM

April 10 – The Netflix original movie Love Wedding Repeat will debut online today

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Troubles arise for a man when he is abruptly reunited with an old flame at his sister’s wedding. The movie stars Sam Claflin, Olivia Munn, Freida Pinto and Eleanor Tomlinson.

April 10 – The spring premiere of Magnum P.I. will air on CBS at 9 PM

April 11 – The Lifetime movie The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film tells the dramatic, musical tale of “Gospel’s Dreamgirls” — the highest selling female gospel group in history. Credited with bringing Gospel to the mainstream, the five Clark sisters–as well as their trailblazing mother–overcame humble beginnings in Detroit, abuse, loss, rejection, betrayal, and sibling rivalries to achieve international fame as icons of the Gospel music industry. The cast includes Aunjanue Ellis, Angela Birchett, Raven Goodwin, Christina Bell, Shelea Frazier, and Kierra Sheard.

April 11 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Fashionably Yours will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: After three years organizing fashion collections at a top magazine, Lauren (Kat Graham) is passed up for a promotion and decides it is finally time to throw in the towel on Seattle and move home. When Rob (Kendrick Sampson), the owner of the moving company she hires, learns of her distaste for the city, he makes it his mission to help her see the beauty of Seattle and all it has to offer. In exchange for her organizing services, he becomes her tour guide for the next two weeks leading up to her move and Lauren discovers there is a lot to fall in love with in Seattle. Sheryl Lee Ralph also stars.

April 12 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Heist and Seek will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The theft of a rare Elizabethan artifact on display at the Lawrenceton Library’s annual fundraising event leads to capital crimes, when Aurora Teagarden (Candace Cameron Bure) begins her unorthodox investigation and soon discovers not one – but two – murders committed by someone who would do anything to possess “Leicester’s Gift,” the Tudor crown on loan from the Seattle Museum of History. Niall Matter and Marilu Henner also star.

April 12 – The new 6-part drama Belgravia will debut on EPIX at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Set in the 19th Century, the story focuses on what happens when the Trenchards accept an invitation to the now legendary ball hosted by the Duchess of Richmond on the fateful eve of the Battle of Waterloo. This sets in motion a series of events that will have consequences for decades to come as secrets unravel behind the porticoed doors of London’s grandest neighborhood. The ensemble cast includes Tom Wilkinson, Harriet Walter, James Fleet, Ella Purnell and Philip Glenister.

April 12 – The new PBS 6-part drama Baptiste will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Tchéky Karyo reprises his role as mercurial French detective Julien Baptiste (from The Missing). While on holiday in Amsterdam with his wife, he assists in an investigation for his former girlfriend, the Amsterdam Chief of Police. Tom Hollander and Jessica Raine (Call the Midwife) also star.

April 12 – The third season premiere of Killing Eve will debut on both AMC and BBC America at 10 PM

April 12 – The UPtv movie In-Lawfully Yours will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A fun-loving woman from New York City moves to a small town to help her recently widowed ex mother-in-law. Her personality clashes with the locals, and when she goes public with her new relationship with the pastor, the town rallies to kick her out. The film stars Chelsey Crisp, Marilu Henner, Joe Williamson, Corbin Bernsen and Phillip Boyd.

April 13 – The new 10-part series Paradise Lost will debut on Spectrum online today

Show Synopsis: Set in small town Mississippi, this southern gothic mystery follows prodigal son, Yates Forsythe (Josh Hartnett), as he returns to his hometown with his wife, Frances (Bridget Regan) – a woman very new to this very old community. As explosive secrets become unearthed, Yates’ loyalties are tested as he struggles to choose between his past and his future. The cast includes Barbara Hershey, Elanie Hendrix, Nick Nolte and Silas Weir Mitchell.

April 13 – The new ABC series The Baker and the Beauty will debut at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Daniel Garcia (Victor Rasuk) is working in the family bakery and doing everything that his loving Cuban parents and siblings expect him to do. But on a wild Miami night he meets Noa Hamilton, an international superstar and fashion mogul, and his life moves into the spotlight. The series also stars Carlos Gomez, Lisa Vidal, Nathalie Kelley and Dan Bucatinsky.

April 13 – The season finale of Briarpatch will debut on the USA Network at 11 PM

April 14 – The season finale of New Amsterdam will air on NBC at 10 PM

April 15 – The new Hulu drama Mrs. America will debut online today

Show Synopsis: The drama the story of the movement to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), and the unexpected backlash led by a conservative woman named Phyllis Schlafly (Cate Blanchett). Through the eyes of the women of that era – both Schlafly and second wave feminists Gloria Steinem (Rose Byrne), Betty Friedan (Tracey Ullman), Shirley Chisholm, (Uzo Aduba) Bella Abzug (Margo Martindale) and Jill Ruckelshaus (Elizabeth Banks) – the series explores how one of the toughest battlegrounds in the culture wars of the 70s helped give rise to the Moral Majority and forever shifted our political landscape. The ensemble cast includes James Marsden, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Melanie Lynskey, Niecy Nash, Sarah Paulson Aria Graynor and John Slattery.

April 15 – The “finales” of Chicago Fire, Chicago Med and Chicago P.D. will air on NBC at 8 PM, 9 PM and 10 PM (check local listings for exact order)

April 15 – Riverdale will return to The CW with new episodes starting tonight at 8 PM

April 15 – The new Netflix series Outer Banks will debut online today

Show Synopsis: A tight-knit group of teens unearths a long-buried secret, setting off a chain of illicit events that takes them on an adventure they’ll never forget. The series stars Charles Esten, Madison Bailey, Caroline Arapoglou, Drew Starkey and Madelyn Cline.

April 16 – New episodes of Katy Keene will begin tonight at 8 PM followed by the season premiere of In the Dark will air on The CW at 9 PM

April 16 – The season finale of Devs will air on Hulu today

April 17 – The series finale of Strike Back will air on Cinemax at 10 PM

April 17 – The 6th season premiere of Bosch will air on Amazon online today

April 18 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Nature of Love will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: City girl Katie (Emilie Ullerup) is writing a magazine feature on a glamping resort. Far from sporty, she faces her fears trying the camp’s activities with help from Will (Christopher Russell), a rugged outdoorsman and nature guide.

April 20 – Prodigal Son will return after a 3 week break on FOX at 9 PM

April 20 – The season finale of Better Call Saul will air on AMC at 9 PM

April 20 – The HBO drama The Plot Against America will air its season finale at 9 PM

April 21 – The series finale of Empire will air on FOX at 9 PM

April 21 – New episodes of The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will resume on The CW at 8 PM and 9 PM respectively

April 22 – The series finale of Little Fires Everywhere will air on Hulu today

April 23 – The “finale” of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will air on NBC at 10 PM

April 24 – The new Apple TV+ series Defending Jacob will debut online today

Show Synopsis: This limited series centers around a shocking crime that rocks a small Massachusetts town, and follows an assistant district attorney who finds himself torn between his sworn duty to uphold justice and his unconditional love for his son. Based on the 2012 New York Times best-selling novel by William Landay, starring Chris Evans, Michelle Dockery, Pablo Schreiber, Cherry Jones, Sakina Jaffrey and Jaeden Martell.

April 25 – The new movie The Matchmaker Mysteries: A Fatal Romance will debut on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Preparing to moderate a writers’ panel at a romance convention, professional matchmaker Angie Dove (Danica McKellar) is surprised to run into her old college boyfriend, Ethan Plume, who has just taken the reins at his family’s publishing house. But a bigger shock is yet to come, as bestselling writer Beatrice Penn suddenly takes ill onstage – the victim of a fatal dose of poison. Though bad blood between Ethan and Beatrice makes him the prime suspect, Angie knows he’s incapable of murder. And while she’s promised to cooperate with Detective Kyle Carter’s (Victor Webster) probe, she’s not about to sit idly by when Ethan is charged with the crime. Angie launches her investigation with the same sharp instincts and clever strategies she brings to matchmaking and begins to unravel the mystery behind Beatrice’s death. April 26 – New episodes of Batwoman and Supergirl will get underway on The CW at 8 PM and 9 PM respectively

April 26 – The series premiere of Penny Dreadful: City of Angels will debut on Showtime at 10:10 PM

Show Synopsis: The series is set in 1938 opens in 1938 Los Angeles, a time and place deeply infused with social and political tension. When a grisly murder shocks the city, Detective Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) and his partner Lewis Michener (Nathan Lane) become embroiled in an epic story that reflects the rich history of Los Angeles: from the building of the city’s first freeways and its deep traditions of Mexican-American folklore, to the dangerous espionage actions of the Third Reich and the rise of radio evangelism. Before long, Tiago and his family are grappling with powerful forces that threaten to tear them apart. The large ensemble cast includes Natalie Dormer, Piper Perabo, Kerry Bishe, Adam Rodriguez, Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner, Ethan Peck, Rory Kinnear, Thomas Kretschmann and Dominic Sherwood [among others].

April 26 – The UPtv movie Woman of the House will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: A former sorority girl, nostalgic for her college days, takes a job as house mother to her old sorority only to find that it’s in shambles. She vows to save it, but an unexpected romance complicates her plans. The movie stars Kirsten Zien, Charlie Carrick, Larissa Albuquerque, Sarah Dugdale and Sarah Dejardins.

April 27 – The season finale of Dispatches From Elsewhere will air at 10 PM on AMC

April 27 – The Acorn TV series Deadwater Fell will air its season finale online today

April 30 – The timeslot premiere of Council of Dads will air on NBC at 8 PM

April 30 – The Netflix original movie Dangerous Lies will debut online

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a wealthy elderly man dies and unexpectedly leaves his estate to his new caregiver, she’s drawn into a web of deception and murder. If she’s going to survive, she’ll have to question everyone’s motives – even the people she loves. The movie stars Camila Mendes, Jessie T. Usher, Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet, Sasha Alexander and Elliott Gould.

April 30 – The final season of Blindspot gets underway at 10 PM on NBC

NOTE: The show will move to 9 PM starting next week (on May 7).
