My Top Choices for February TV
February TV is nearly upon us and there are a lot of programming options on the major and cable networks. Out of all those options, I’ve selected those that I am most anxious to watch:
MOVIES, MOVIES AND MORE MOVIES
A handful of cable networks attempt to compete with the Hallmark Channel throughout October, November and December with all of their holiday-themed movies, but once the holidays are over, each of those networks go back to their regular programming except for one: upTV
The faith- and family-based network is airing new movies every Saturday night much like the Hallmark Channel. They are as follows:
Hallmark Channel:
A Valentine’s Match on February 1 at 9 PM, starring Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill) and Luke Macfarlane (Killjoys)
Matching Hearts on February 8 at 9 PM, starring Taylor Cole (Ruby Herring Mysteries) and Ryan Paevey (Unleashing Mr. Darcy)
The Secret Ingredient on February 15 at 9 PM, starring Erin Cahill (Love, Fall & Order) and Brendan Penny (Chesapeake Shores).
Love in Store on February 22 at 9 PM, starring Alexandra Breckenridge (Virgin River and This Is Us) and Robert Buckley (iZombie).
You can learn more about the network’s Love Ever After movies here.
UPTV:
Mr. Write on February 2 at 7 PM, starring Charlotte Sullivan (Rookie Blue) and Corey Sevier (Cedar Cove).
Once Upon a Date on February 9 at 7 PM, starring Katrina Bowden (Love on the Slopes), Dean Geyer (Glee and Terra Nova), Francia Raisa (The Secret Life of the American Teenager and Grown-ish), Titus Makin Jr. (The Rookie) and James Callis (Battlestar Galactica).
Twist of Fate on February 16 at 7 PM, starring Cassie Steele (DeGrassi: The Next Generation), Andrea Brooks (When Calls the Heart) and Ryan Kennedy (Unleashing Mr. Darcy)
Vision of Love on February 23 at 7 PM, starring Brant Daughterty (Pretty Little Liars and Dancing with the Stars), Larisa Oleynik (10 Things I Hate About You) and Shaun Sipos (Krypton).

THANK YOU FOR THE SEQUEL
In the summer of 2018, the Netflix movie To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, based on the Jenny Han novel, debuted and hit it big with viewers. And now, the long-awaited sequel To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You will debut online on February 12.
RETURNING DRAMAS
Speaking of long-awaited, Outlander fans have been waiting well over a year for the show’s fifth season to return; and that will finally happen on February 16 on Starz at 8 PM.
Not quite two months after the Christmas episode aired, When Calls the Heart will return with its 7th season premiere episode on February 23 on the Hallmark Channel at 8 PM.
That same night (February 23), The Rookie will return for the rest of its sophomore season on ABC after being on a two and a half month’s worth break.
For those who love sci-fi, the second season of Altered Carbon will premiere on Netflix on February 27.
SAD TO SEE IT END
The final episode of the 8-part mini-series Sanditon will air on PBS at 9 PM.
WELCOME TO THE FOLD
The official debut of Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist will air on NBC on February 16 at 9 PM (after airing a sneak peek on January 7). The show is a cross between Glee, Wonderfalls and a little bit of Pushing Daisies. Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy) is a whip-smart computer coder forging her way in San Francisco. After an unusual event, she starts to hear the innermost wants and desires of the people around her through songs. At first, she questions her own sanity but soon realizes this unwanted curse may just be an incredibly wonderful gift.
