Broadway Star Laura Osnes and Stephen Huszar Star in A Homecoming for the Holidays on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries

The next movie in the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries “Miracles of Christmas” is A Homecoming for the Holidays, which will debut tonight, December 7.

When singer/songwriter Charlotte (Laura Osnes from the Hallmark Movies Now movie In the Key of Love and the Broadway stage) meets Matt (Stephen Huszar from the Ruby Herring Mysteries franchise), she’s singing to the troops and he’s on his third tour. Charlotte’s brother is deploying too, and their parents are sad but proud of both him and Charlotte, who must leave for her career. A rising star, Charlotte felt a spark between her and Matt but their lives are on different paths.

Fast forward three years and three albums later, and Charlotte is home for Christmas after a big tour. Now a civilian, Matt is back too, working for Operation Homefront and helping veterans with housing. Once he builds a home for a widowed soldier and her daughter, he’s off to serve elsewhere. Charlotte’s brother is home briefly as well and, much to his parents’ dismay, plans to re-enlist.

But for the moment, everyone is enjoying being together, especially Matt and Charlotte, whose spark has become a flame, even though false publicity about Charlotte’s former romance with a country singer still spins. But when Charlotte is asked to sing an original duet with her ex on a Christmas special, live in Nashville on the 23rd, it means she must write a new song and leave town. Even worse, a reporter snaps a photo of Charlotte and her ex that looks like they’ve rekindled their romance.

Hopefully true love will keep Matt and Charlotte’s romance aflame, especially if they listen to her inspiring lyrics: “Moving mountains is easy when we choose to push together.”

A Homecoming for the Holidays debuts on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries at 9/8c.
