Batwoman episode 104: Who Are You?

A new villain, Magpie, is stealing jewels, including Bruce Wayne’s mother’s necklace. Meanwhile, Kate embarks on a new relationship but finds it difficult to keep Batwoman a secret from her new gf and Catherine comes clean to her husband about a secret that might change their relationship forever.

Join NiceGirls Lisa and Cay as they discuss the episode using our feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Cay:  I feel like Reagan was pretty disposable here – we didn’t really get to see them develop any sort of relationship and then it was over. Her purpose seemed to just be to make Kate feel bad and Sophie jealous. It could have played out better over several episodes.

Lisa: I agree. I felt like they could have had a nice relationship build. I really hope they don’t make Kate a total player with a different girlfriend each week.

AWESOME

Cay: Mary pretending to be Alice to get information from her boy toy for Batwoman! I also love Luke! I need a bestie/assistant/associate/tech geek like him in my life!

Lisa: Yes! Luke is awesome. We all need a Luke in our life. I also thought Magpie was a pretty sweet villain.

SO SO

Cay: The Magpie’s motivation was meh. Obviously it’s hard to come up with a backstory for every villain, but it was hard to care about hers and she wasn’t just stealing jewels – she was also using explosives, so she wasn’t just a “classic” jewel thief.

Lisa: That’s a good point. I would have liked more of her backstory. I also thought the way they fizzled out Reagan was Meh.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Cay: I was surprised that Catherine fessed up about faking Beth’s remains. But it still doesn’t explain how she met Alice in the first place.

Lisa: I was surprised too. I thought that storyline would drag on a little longer. I want more Luke & Kate scenes and I still get goosebumps when she puts on the red wig and bat suit. She is so badass!

Batwoman airs on Sunday nights at 8pm on the CW.
