Dragon Con 2019: Saturday Highlights

I was a panelist on The Final Battle: A Shadowhunters Fan Panel at 2:30pm and it was such a great send off to the show! We discussed the final season and how us #shadowfam are coping without seeing #Malec on our TV screens weekly. Thank you to everyone that came to honor Shadowhunters at it’s final Dragon Con panel.

The iZombie panel was so much fun! Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Aly Michalka and Bryce Dodgson discussed their time together on the final season of the beloved show.

Fan Question: Which TV show would you like your character to be on?
Malcolm joked that he would love to be on Game of Thrones. Rose said The Muppets because Miss Piggy is her spirit animal and she loves The Muppets. Bryce said he would love to see Donnie on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel because he thinks that would be hilarious. And Aly said her character Peyton would fit in well on Doctor Who.

Fun Fact: the brain tubes are really strawberry Go-Gurt and Malcolm joked that he wished he would have known because he would have been eating them the whole time. Malcolm then joked about how tight his pants were and he will be glad not to wear those pants anymore. He was hilarious!

Fan Question: If they could eat the brain of someone to take on their personality who would it be?
The cast decided the person must be already dead, they didn’t want to think about how they died. Aly said she would pick her dog because she never knows what he’s thinking and she’s very curious to know how his mind works. Rose said that was weird and Aly is known to say crazy shit….Hee Hee Hee. Malcolm picked David Blaine because he thinks it would be “an experience” and he also thinks that if he ate his brain David would figure out a way to still be alive.  Rose picked LeBron James because she likes him as a human being and an athlete and would love to slam dunk. Can you imagine her slam dunking a basketball? That would be pretty cool.

A final touching moment in the panel happened when a friend of Malcolm’s from high school came and surprised him. He was caught off-guard and went down memory lane when she showed him a video of himself. It was such a great moment to see him be surprised in such a good way. After the panel he stayed and caught up with his friend it was very touching and another great moment that can only happen at Dragon Con.

Dragon Con is a great place to run into one of your favorite actors and today was no different. I can’t get enough of the talented Jordan Calloway from Black Lightning. I can’t wait to see what happens with Khalil in this season. Black Lightning returns Oct. 21st!
