The InBetween Roundtable: The Length of a River
The InBetween premiered on NBC this week and we gave it a watch. See what we had to say below.
A serial killer strikes again. Cassie allows her visions to lead Tom and Damien toward the killer, leading to an unexpected twist in the investigation. Cassie also helps an old friend search for peace after the death of a loved one.
Join the NiceGirls staff as they discuss the episode using our new feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):
STUPID
Leah: The profiling to me was pretty rudimentary. Anyone who has watched a commercial for CSI knows what’s going on.
P.S. Carnations are funeral flowers. That’s why women “don’t like them”.
Rueben: That police consultant saying that women don’t like carnations. Granted I know NOTHING about flowers, but women don’t like carnations? We don’t?!
AWESOME
Leah: Oh the flashes Cassie gets creep me out…and it’s awesome! I thought the BFF from highschool was a nice throw back to Cassie’s past.
Rueben: I loved that little moment between Brian and Cassie in her car where she said she was being selfish, asking that he had to be okay. She’s legitimately worried about his memory issues. It was a tender scene between them! Cassie’s vision in the bathroom of being slashed. That was downright creepy, and well done.
SO SO
Leah: I agree with Rueben.
Rueben: Why did the ghost of Jenna tell Cassie not to tell Melinda about her last visit? Doesn’t she think it would bring Melinda full closure to know that she moved on?
YOUR THOUGHTS
Rueben: I was really moved by all the visions Cassie had in this episode. Sure she’s had some really tough visions in previous episodes, but for some reason this episode really affected me. We’ve said it before that it’s hard to imagine how Cassie gets up everyday knowing that she has to deal with the unknown.
