BLOOD & TREASURE: Observations From “The Brotherhood of Serapis”
Blood & Treasure was all new this week. What did you think of the episode? Let us know in the comments.
An unlikely ally reveals to Lexi that an Egyptian official has files that could lead her to Farouk. But in order to get to the information, she must enlist Danny in a dangerous plan while lying to him about the source of her lead. Also, Farouk takes a risk to get back the items he stole from the Pyramids, which he needs in order to fund his operations.
The Brotherhood
Can we all agree that this cult is super…..culty and a little careless. Fabi kidnapped Lexi, threatened to murder her, and took her to their secret Brotherhood hideout. All in the first 15 minutes.! I get that they want Cleopatra back, but it seems like they also want Farouk dead just as much. Splitting focus, and leaving a swath of murder behind you, seems like a really bad tactic.
Now they are attacking Danny and Lexi in broad daylight all while wearing very distinctive medallions outside their clothing. Secret society my ass.
Farouk
You mean to tell me that an international terrorist doesn’t have an offshore bank account? This man is running amok all over the world… But somehow he can’t finance some excavation? Hell, I can finance a construction crew. Give me a break. Also between him and the Brotherhood apparently they have people in bed and every single government… But Danny and Lexi are closing in on them. Seems suspect.
The Rest of the Players
Ana is the only one with sense giving up on the search for Cleopatra.
Do you think Lexi’s father was a friend of Farouk?
Do we actually trust Jay? Is he as good as he seems?
