By  |

It’s that time again to salute those actresses who are on the move, actresses who deserve a little extra attention for their latest work, those actresses who are rising stars. Landing that crucial role in a TV movie or guest appearance in a successful show or film makes all the difference for aspiring actors.

Let’s take a look at the next two actresses who viewers should keep their eye on:

Sofia Pernas

Sofia is a Moroccan-Spanish actress who came to the US when she was a young girl, growing up in Orange County (California). She initially planned on a career in journalism, but was redirected to a career in modeling and acting after being discovered by a scout.

Her first acting roles were in episodes of NCIS and Leverage then she landed a role on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless. Soon enough she had a recurring role as Catalina, Jane’s cousin on Jane the Virgin and then was one of the series regular on the short-lived military drama The Brave. Next, she will be the female lead in the new CBS action-adventure series Blood & Treasure. Blood & Treasure is set to debut for 2 hours on May 21.

Among her talents is being well versed in languages, being able to speak Arabic, Spanish, German, and of course English. Sofia can be followed at Instagram.

Charlotte Hope

Charlotte is a British actress who studied at the University of Oxford, but began acting professionally in 2012 in the musical Les Miserables. She then appeared in episodes of the British dramas Law & Order: UK, Holby City, Whitechapel and The Musketeers. It was during this time that she got started on her recurring role of Myranda, the sadistic lover of Ramsay Bolton, on Game of Thrones. Charlotte has also appeared in the short-lived series Houdini and Doyle; and among her movie roles are The Theory of Everything and the horror flick The Nun. Her biggest role to date will be the lead role in the much-anticipated Starz drama The Spanish Princess, which will debut on May 5.
