A Million Little Things: Goodbye
The season finale of A Million Little Things aired on Thursday night. The synopsis of the season ender was:
As everyone tries to move on with their lives, Delilah digs deeper into Barbara Morgan.
Check out what Cay and Rueben had to say about the episode:
Rueben:
Wow, what an episode that was. I have to say I was actually surprised by the reveal of what happened to Jon’s best friend David, and that Jon was saved from that fateful flight because of a woman named Sophie. I wasn’t expecting the loss of his friend on 9-11 to be the reason for his inner turmoil for SO long. Not to mention that he met Delilah at the airport.
I was SO relieved that Maggie got a good bill of health from her doctor, and joined in with her laughing about it because she had obviously been worried about all of it for so long. And the fact that Gary told her, “I’m gonna love you forever, no matter how long that forever is.” So sweet!
The other revelation that I didn’t see coming was that the kid who Rome met at the hospital turned out to be Barbara Morgan’s son to Jon’s best friend David, who was watching Jon’s video at the very end of the episode. I usually see things coming, but that was a complete surprise.
I have to wonder what Rome is going to do now after Regina told him that she doesn’t want to have kids. She seemed very resolved with that decision, and I’m concerned what that might do to his overall mental health.
How about Katherine and Eddie wanting to get back together? Sure, they have both gone through a lot since the pilot, learning to talk to each other better, and being more honest; but I just don’t know if it’s a good idea for them to try to rekindle. Especially with Eddie seemingly ready to reveal to Katherine that Delilah’s baby is actually his, as you know that was what he was getting ready to tell her.
Cay:
I actually like Eddie and Katherine getting together again and applaud his decision that he needs to tell Katherine about the baby. I’m not sure how it will go over, though. Getting someone pregnant seems worse than just having an affair, even though the former is always a risk of the latter.
Gary sure has seen some growth – from breaking up with a woman over a phone charger to all but proposing to Maggie. I hope that they get a break from drama for a few episodes next season at least!
Speaking of a couple needing a break from drama (like that really happens on this kind of show!), from my words to the writers’ ears – can we just let Rome and Gina bask in their current success for a bit? So tired of one thing after another trying to pull them apart.
I’m glad that we finally got at least a big chunk of what happened back with Jon and Barbara and that Delilah finally knows. So sad that his near miss and his friend’s death proved to be something that he just couldn’t come back from. Is this the entire mystery solved, or is there still more that we don’t know?
Also a nice tie-in that the teenager that Rome met in the hospital is Barbara’s son. But why was he in the hospital that day? I don’t remember hearing, or if so, I promptly dismissed it.
Overall, I thought it was a nice wrap up for the season, with Delilah in labor after finding out Jon’s “secret”.
Here are our questions for season two:
Rueben:
Do we think Eddie and Katherine will actually get back together? Or will the baby reveal push Katherine over?
How will that reveal affect all of them because you know that secret won’t stay secret between Katherine and Eddie? How will Sophie and Danny react? Will they be able to trust their mom again?
What will happen next between Gary and Maggie? Can we see them succeeding in their relationship? Will Maggie stay in remission?
How will P.K. (Patrick) play into the new season? Will we see Barbara Morgan again?
What will happen between Regina and Rome given that she told him she doesn’t want to have kids, but he does? Could this break Rome?
Cay:
My big question is what is going to be the hook for next season? The baby and the resulting fall-out?
My other questions are similar to Reuben’s:
How is Katherine going to take the news from Eddie. She’s got to suspect it, deep down.
How will the news, which is bound to get out, affect the rest everyone else as it ripples out?
Will we continue to see Barbara and presumably her son and what will they contribute to the story now that we have had the big reveal?
How bad will things get between Rome and Gina if he won’t let having kids go?
