A Million Little Things: The Rosary

By  |

On this week’s A Million Little Things:

As her friends anxiously await the outcome of Maggie’s surgery, an unexpected arrival from her mother leads to a tense first meeting with Gary.

Check out what Cay and Rueben had to say about the episode:

Rueben: How creepy was it that Barbara Morgan was watching Sophie from across the street, then pretended to be someone else from the 5K race to virtually trick Sophie into letting her into their home under the guise of leaving a note for Sophie’s mom only to bolt when Gary walked in the kitchen with Delilah. Just what is she doing?!

How great was Gary going after the rosary for Maggie and then having that run-in with Maggie’s mom BEFORE he realized who she was. Even without knowing the synopsis of the episode, I knew that was her mom as it was a little too obvious; but that being said I liked how they came to an unspoken understanding because of their shared love for Maggie. It was so great to see Maggie write “I’m In” on that post-it note the same way Gary wrote that to her on that balloon. And how about them moving in together…that’ll be interesting.

I have to give kudos to Katherine on how she handled Theo’s attitude problem after the fiasco at the aquarium. She handled that whole situation with such calm and without yelling. I don’t think most modern-day parents would have handled that kind of situation quite that well. Sure it’s television, but still kudos for how that played that, as it taught a lesson without being heavy-handed.

I thought it was great that that kid at the hospital read Rome’s script and gave him some much needed praise. I think the script helped that kid in a way, and the conversation with him really helped Rome – it even gave him a title for the screenplay. I’d love to hear what Regina thought of it, and hopefully we’ll see that mentioned in next week’s episode.

I can’t really blame Regina for being a bit upset by Andrew especially given that the restaurant review mainly praised him rather than her and Delilah; and he should’ve kept his mouth shut about how a plate was presented. Never, ever tell a chef how to prepare their plates. I have to wonder how long Regina will be able to keep quiet even with Andrew being the major investor in the restaurant. I can’t imagine she’ll be able to keep quiet if he does something like that again.

I’m very anxious to see how things play out in next week’s episode since it’s the finale!

Cay:

I really thought that Katherine and Eddie might reconcile. I was sad that they didn’t when it seems like they may have started to understand some things about each other. They’ve really grown/changed Katherine’s character since the pilot and I would like to see them stay together with a new understanding, but I guess we aren’t going to get that.

It was funny to see Gary make such a bad first impression on Maggie’s mother, especially because we all know what a great guy he really is and how much he adores her. I’m glad that he made some piece with her mother and that she agreed to move in with him.

What is Barbara up to? Why did she want to be in the house? Her trying to use Sophie to get in was indeed creepy, but as a woman in a nice neighborhood, people are more trusting. I’m glad that Sophie and Delilah realized that she is a person from Jon’s past. With luck we’ll get more of the story filled in next week in the finale.

I both understand Regina’s situation but am also a little bit annoyed with her. I understand why she didn’t want to take her uncle’s money, but at the same time, she did agree to take Andrew’s money. It seems that maybe they should have had a longer discussion on their roles and expectations. Andrew seems like a nice guy, I’d think there is still room for a conversation like that other than her just stewing.
