Blindspot Roundtable: Check Your Ed

By  |

On this week’s Blindspot,  the team tried a dangerous  experimental treatment to try to restore Jane’s memories and remove Remi. And Tasha was finally captured by Reade in Mexico.

Join the NiceGirls staff as they discuss the episode using our new feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Rueben: For me, it was Weller not thinking that Shepherd wouldn’t show up on his territory. I thought for sure she’d be at their apartment, and sure enough she was.

Lisa: Jane’s brain sequence went on too long for me. It felt like a bad trip!

Cay: I got so bored with all the stuff going on in Jane’s head. It was pretty obvious what the end result would be and I just couldn’t care enough about the process to be interested in her “journey”

Roz: Brain time was overly complicated when we should have known the answer to the problem all along. I get that a Jane vs Remy fight was something we could want to see, but it turned out to be so oddly organized (for justifiable reasons) that it made me too confused.

AWESOME

Rueben: I actually kind of liked the battle of Remi vs Jane all played out in her brain. Sure the end result was rather predictable, but I was intrigued with the way they played it out.

Cay:   Jane is back! And, while I said I hated the whole “in Jane’s head” part, that wasn’t entirely true – I liked the scene between her and Roman.

Lisa: Me too, Cay. I thought the scene with Jane and Roman was so sweet. That was my favorite part. Also, I’m glad that Jane is back!

Roz: I’m happy Sheppard is finally dead. Can we all sing that song from The Wizard of Oz?

Cay: oh yeah, that, too!

SO SO

Rueben: Tasha giving up so easily at the opening made me wonder if that was the plan all along, and why give so little time to Reade bringing her in.

Cay: Capturing Tasha should be worth more than just a passing scene in an episode totally unrelated!

Lisa: I think we are on the same page here. Why was the Tasha scene so short? It should have been a bigger deal. What is the real scoop here?

Roz: Is Tasha’s willingness to come in so easily a ploy? There’s no other reason that should have been so short.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Rueben: Now that Shepherd is gone is the big bad going to be Burke? If so, I don’t see her nearly as much of a threat as Shepherd unless TPTB have an ace up their sleeve and plan to make Burke to be the biggest threat yet. I think I would still have my doubts. And, why is the zip poisoning still affecting Jane? Oh and what is going to happen next with Zapata?

Cay: I’m glad that we’re back to the Jane story line and I can’t wait to see how it all goes down with Tasha!

Lisa: Good riddance Shepard! I’m looking forward to seeing how the Tasha thing plays out. Will they find a cure for the zip poisoning with Jane? I want to know why it still affects her.

Roz: How is this Zip poisoning still a thing?

The next new episode of BLINDSPOT will air on Friday, January 18 at 8/7c on NBC.

Cay's family thinks her obsession with pop culture is "not normal". Normal is boring!
