Salute to Rising Stars
It’s that time again to salute those actresses who are on the move, actresses who deserve a little extra attention for their latest work, those actresses who are rising stars. Landing that crucial role in a TV movie or guest appearance in a successful show or film makes all the difference for aspiring actors.
Let’s take a look at the next two actresses who viewers should keep their eye on:
Diona Reasonover
Diona is a native of Detroit, and as a high schooler she was a member of Mosaic Youth Theatre, a group of over 100 teenagers who performed in her hometown and internationally. She went on to graduate from Oberlin College with a degree in theater and dance before earning her Masters in acting from California Institute of the Arts.
She is a classically trained actress, appearing in works by Shakespeare, Ibsen and Chekov, who got started in comedy in 2011 by doing improve and sketch. She has appeared in episodes of TV shows like the short-lived TBS comedy Clipped, appearing alongside High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale as well as guest appearances in Girl Meets World, Superstore, 2 Broke Girls and Future Man.
But it has been her role of Kasie Hines on the juggernaut, long-running CBS drama NCIS that has put her on the map as she had the task of taking over for fan favorite Pauley Perrette.
Diona is also a talented writer, working on shows like I Love You, America, I Love Dick and Adam Ruins Everything.

Eris Baker
Young actress Eris got her start in a Target commercial before appearing in a few episode of the Zendaya-led Disney Channel series K.C. Undercover before guest starring in the Netflix comedy Alexa & Katie.
TV viewers will recognize her, of course, as Tess Pearson, the oldest daughter and Randall and Beth Pearson in the hit NBC series This Is Us.
When she isn’t working, Eris attends public school, loves fashion (she considers herself a fashion enthusiast) and tennis and being with her family where she is the big sister to 3 younger siblings.
You can follow Eris on Instagram and on Twitter @erisbaker.
