TIMELESS: The Miracle of Christmas – 7 OMG Moments
Well Clockbolockers it is finally here, the Timeless 2-hour event! Roz and I had high hopes for this “movie” and we were not let down. Check out our – scream at the top of our lungs, cry, text each other, “OMG!” moments.
Christmas arrives in the Bunker, and the Time Team is inspired by a visit from their future selves to find a way to try to save Rufus. But when the Mothership jumps to 1848 California, they’re forced to put those plans on hold and chase Rittenhouse back to the Gold Rush, where they encounter one of the era’s most dangerous villains. Then chasing the Mothership to Korea in the winter of 1950, the team helps a stranded, pregnant refugee attempt to escape a tragic fate.

Roz:
Garcia Flynn’s sacrifice – I get that we’ve loved to hate him and then loved him, but that decision to take out Jessica was so impressive and unexpected. It resolved the issue of a dead Rufus quickly (almost too quickly), but it hurt all the same to watch him go to San Diego and kill Jessica to save everyone from Rittenhouse.
Lucy’s Dad – I did not expect to see him back, even if just for that minute where Agent Christopher and Connor could get a machine to save the team.
That little girl at the end! – One of my friends who is equally obsessed with the show, and we’ve spent many twitter DMs yelling about episodes this season, when I was talking to her about these episodes she made this suggestion: that little girl at the end who’s building the new time machine is the Korean woman’s granddaughter. As soon as she said it, I went “OH SHIRT!” because it’s brilliant, crazy, and so twisty in the end that I can’t believe I won’t get the answer to that question now.
Leah:
Flynn – This one hurt more than I thought it would. Tears were streaming and then to see exactly what Lucy said to Flynn in the bar in 2014 that brought him smack dab in the middle of the Time Team drama was so amazing. Lucy telling him he was a hero after admitting he wasn’t going to get his family back – dear heavens the tears!
Agent Christopher – My word how I love this woman! She held the team together, made the tough calls, knit all of the scarves, and in the end wrangled Emma (and got to time travel). She really is a saint!
Emma – she finally got hers and I am glad it wasn’t at the hand of one of our heroes. It kept them from crossing that line. Did Emma really think she could take over a centuries old organization built on the idea of family first…just like that? Nope. She could not!
Lyatt & Riya – They both got their happy endings. I really love that because often in TV the couples you ship don’t get their happily ever after for the sake of drama. The writers recognized this could be the end of Timeless and made it happen. THANK YOU!
Tech geniuses doing good and a soldier and a teacher with TWINS! Naming them Flynn and Amy was a lovely tribute to those lost.
What was your favorite, scariest, craziest moment from the finale? Share it with us in the comments and be sure to spend any good karma you have, wishes received from having the bigger half of the wishbone, whatever….on willing NBC/Sony to make more Timeless!
