THE ROOKIE Roundtable: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

By  |

After Nolan and Talia lose control of a crime scene, they begin to debate whether people are fundamentally good or bad; Lucy worries Tim is enabling his wife’s destructive behavior and not taking care of himself.

Let’s dig into the new episode with our new feature: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Roz: Always have a Plan B West! I could care less if you think you’re not failing, have something in mind for that freak moment when your life turns upside down.

Rueben: What the hell was Bradford thinking fighting that biker? Is he really trying to prove that he is unstoppable or is he that much of a dumb ass!

AWESOME

Roz: Finding out what happened between Bradford and his wife was unexpected in such an action-packed episode.

Rueben: So true, Roz! I was SO not expecting Bradford’s wife to have been a cop. That came out of left field for me. Also I wasn’t expecting Bishop to actually help out that little kid and his wayward dad (the one who took the stolen money from the Metro).

As a personal note, I loved that they used the building at Warner Bros. (where I used to work as my day job back in the early 2000’s) as the setting for the bank where that guy got trapped inside the ATM. That being said, though, that scene nearly mirrored a storyline that was just included on FOX’s 9-1-1.

SO SO

Roz: Chen and Nolan acting all cute when West isn’t there. Someone else is going to find out and it’s not going to be good.

Rueben: Roz, you are so right. I thought they were supposed to be keeping their affair secret. Playing all lovey dovey in public is not keeping things on the down low. You are going to get caught!

THE ROOKIE

YOUR THOUGHTS

Roz: It’s bad when as an Angeleno I get weirded out why Bradford and Chen went into another part of town. Central and Florence is so far away I can’t figure out why no one called Bradford out for being that far away.

Rueben: West is over-compensating for his fear of gunfire, and it’s going to trip him up as much as his freezing when things get intense.

The Rookie airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on ABC. Check out our previous recap here.
