STUPID

Leah: Blech – annoying director and I’m with Cay – the “kids” had very little purpose.

Cay: The Quantico “kids” didn’t seem to have a real role here, other than Patterson’s “hunk of man ham” Lincoln. The new director is super annoying!

Rueben: I couldn’t agree more that Weitz, the new Director, is absolutely annoying. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen him be annoying, but it was even more clearly on display in this episode.

Roz: Did any of these new people add anything outside of Lincoln? Most of the recruits were sort of there – adding numbers to the situation of critical people knowing too much – and Weitz is too much of a gladhand for me.

AWESOME

Rueben: Everything that Rich did especially his exchange with Patterson near the end of the episode. Patterson: “Why is your face like that?” Rich: “Oh, it’s my smug face. I save it for special occasions.” Priceless! He also said “Thundercats, ho!” to the recruits – too funny! He also called Patterson “Patty Melt.”

Also I loved that we got to see a case from inside the office rather than with the team. It was cool to see things from the field while not being in the field. That was the only good thing that Weitz asked Patterson and Rich to create to help the Quantico recruits see what it’s like.

Cay: Loved how awkward things got for Patterson – she’s usually relatively responsible and then she goes looking for a one-night stand and ends up with her boss’ favorite nephew. Hilarious! And I always love the interaction between Rich and Patterson!

Leah: Rich is most always the best part of an episode for me. This was no exception. I’d watch a spin off Rich and Patterson. Poor Patterson! She can’t catch a break with men.

Roz: I’m going to be a nerd (though I don’t know it well) and smile at Patterson with a Critical Role mug. Ashley has been part of the webseries.

SO SO

Leah: I’m with Cay and Rueben. There are other story lines There must be!

Cay: Another race to save society from a bomber? Really? It was exciting, and I liked all the graphics and stuff that Patterson and Rich had, but the last minute bomb defusing is getting to be so cliched for this show!

Rueben: Yeah, Cay is right, they need to start coming up with different endings instead of the same old, same old.

Roz: I’m so confused by Madeline’s plan and how long the show can keep Zapata sort of out of the fray.

YOUR THOUGHTS

Cay:Did anyone else wonder if Jane would let the bomb go off just because she could? Love that Kurt realizes that Jane is up to something!

Rueben: I wondered from that opening scene with Weller and Jane if he wasn’t suspicious, especially with how distracted she was during that short conversation. But has Weller been wondering about her since before that little moment in their kitchen? Also, what the hell is Zapata really up to? I just want some answers about what her motives are already. Oh, and can Patterson and Rich find that damn book of secrets ASAP and have a cure hidden in its pages that they can find stat to fix Jane because I can’t take this Remi version anymore.

The next new episode of BLINDSPOT will air on Friday, November 2 at 8/7c on NBC.
