Blindspot Roundtable: My Art Project

By  |

The second episode of the fourth season of Blindspot aired on NBC on Friday night, focusing on:

Jane and Patterson’s investigation into a tattoo leads to a Russian double agent, and Jane double-crosses them both to get something she needs; Zapata continues to plot with Hank Crawford’s replacement.

Join the NiceGirls staff as they discuss the episode using our new feature SASSY: S(tupid), A(wesome), S(o) S(o) and Y(our Thoughts):

STUPID

Leah: I’m done with both Zapata and Remi. I can not believe Zapata is off doing this nonsense and not with the team and Remi, come on! Four seasons for this craziness. No thank you. It’s too much.

Rueben: Zapata working with Burke. There are moments where one has to wonder if she is doing this for a higher purpose – by not hurting that little girl in Evans’s home – and telling Evans that she’s the “nicer” one. But then she keeps working for Burke. Which is it? Is Zapata turned to the dark side or what?

Cay: Already growing tired of Remi. How long can this go on without the team getting a clue? Also, why does everyone have to hurt Patterson?

Lisa: Ugh…Yes Cay! Why does Patterson always have to be hurt? She has been through so much! Remi is tap dancing on my last nerve. I don’t know how much more of her I can watch. And Zapata? WTF? She has always been one I don’t trust but this is too much.

AWESOME

Rueben: Anything and everything RichDotCom. He was on fire in this episode from the witty retorts to his jealousy over Boston. It was kinda cool seeing him be the Patterson in the episode, and letting Patterson be out in the field for a change.

Cay: I’m with Rueben, I love how it was his idea to bring Boston on, but then he got annoyed by him and tried to send him away. How did the guy get so much in Rich’s head that he’s still messing with him years later?

Leah: I’m also with Rueben. RichDotCom is the most fun, entertaining, on Patterson’s side, character. Always have him in every episode.

Lisa: Agreed. RichDotCom is the man! He saved this episode for me because I was so annoyed with Remi and Zapata.

SO SO

Leah: Honestly I can’t pinpoint one thing. This season is not off to a stellar start for me.

Cay: I’m intrigued by the Zapata storyline, but would like a hint of what she is up to – was the part about her not being on CIA business true, or just meant to mislead us? I can’t see her doing all this on her own, from Blake to now.

Rueben: Jane/Remi telling her hallucination of Roman that she hates Weller and everything he stands for, prepping that needle to take him out and then not doing it; at least that’s how it seemed after seeing the clips for next week’s episode. It’s clear that she didn’t use the needle on him. I want Jane back to say the least!

Lisa: This whole episode was So So in my opinion. I agree with Leah, this season hasn’t been off to the best start. I hope it picks up quick because Remi is not the jam!

YOUR THOUGHTS

Cay:My biggest question is how long Jane/Remi manages to pull this off, and how annoying it will get by then. I’m so torn – part of me thinks its a brilliant plot device and the rest of me hates it!

Rueben: When is Weller or Patterson going to pick up on Jane/Remi? Does anyone think that Boston will keep gunning for RichDotCom’s job? Will the team even let that happen? What is Burke’s end game? Will Jane/Remi go after Boston to get him to help with the USB drive? Will Jane/Remi get caught up in the web of lies?

Lisa:How long before we find out Zapata’s plan? She has gone too far in my opinion. Can we please get Jane back?
