TAKE TWO: Thoughts on “The Devil You Know”

By  |

On Take Two this week, a bounty hunter asked Eddie for help finding an escaped prisoner, but he was hesitant to work with her again due to their tumultuous past. Sam felt a strong connection to her and turned into her biggest fan. Meanwhile, Monica and Berto partnered up to help with the case.

Roz’s Thoughts:
The Good: I really like how complex Piper was. She had a motive and stuck to it for a long while, even if it meant betraying Eddie and Sam.

The Deacon connection was also just a good idea for something different in the case. If we’re still going to have that issue around, I like that it can be worked into another case with another purpose is smart.

The Bad: Can’t a woman have her own agency, Eddie? I’m all for Sam and Piper going to that bar, but it takes some balls to watch him get all protective when he wasn’t there to see any of it.

Again, this “mountain” scene looks nothing like Angeles National Forest. Water is wet and we don’t get much water in LA.

Rueben’s Thoughts:
The Good: It was quite fun watching Sam fangirl over Piper and even more fun watching Sam explain to Eddie what she and Piper did at the biker bar. While we didn’t see what Sam said took place after meeting that dangerous Tobin guy, but she sure went above and beyond to get details from him.

The Bad: Still no Jordan Gavaris! That aside I think I was more troubled by what the incarcerated Judge Chambers said to Eddie than anything else. Putting him away was the right move, but whatever he has planned for Eddie is troubling.

Leah’s Thoughts:
The Good: Sam in a biker bar!!!! I also like how protective Eddie was of Sam. Sam amd Eddie tied together was pretty amusing as well.

The Bad: Oddly enough, how overprotective Eddie was of Sam…she is an adult who can make her own decisions. I second Rueben – no Jordan Garavis!

Take Two airs Thursday at 10/9c on ABC.
