Kimmy Schmidt Returns

By  |

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt returns on Netflix on May 30, but it looks like this is the beginning of the end for everyone’s favorite mole woman. The word is that season 4 will be the last season of the show, but a movie is in the works to end the series. The first 6 episodes of season for will be available on Netflix on May 30, with the second half of the season to arrive later.

Kimmy Schmidt

Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) is America’s favorite cluelessly awkward sweetheart. Last season we saw her contemplating what she would do with her life, ultimately landing at a tech start up thanks to her “emotional intelligence”. Previews of this season show Kimmy trying to adjust to working in an office environment and clearly struggling. It looks like Kimmy will facing the #metoo movement, as well as grappling with white privilege…and she looks to be on the wrong side of both. It will be interesting to see how the show approaches both topics.

Titus Andromedon

If you know me, you know that Titus Andromedon (Titus Burgess) is one of my absolute favorite characters ever. I would go so far as to argue that he’s the keystone that makes the show work. After his spectacular failure to woo Mikey back to him in season 3, Titus was more determined than ever. He may be going hard to get back his ex, or perhaps a new romantic interest will enter the picture. With Titus, it’s hard to say. It also looks as though Jacqueline has got him a gig directing a cast of children in a theater production. Whatever Titus is up to in season 4, I am here for it. #lemonading #pinotnoir

Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) has decided to be a talent manager, which honestly sounds like the most perfect fit for her that I can imagine. At the end of season 3 Lillian (Carol Kane) was getting over her fears of losing Artie and was racing off to Sweden after him.

With a show like Kimmy Schmidt, it’s hard to predict where the season may go, but I’m confident it’s going to be great. What kind of antics are you expecting in season 4?

The first 6 episodes of the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt arrives May 30 on Netflix . The first 3 seasons and a trailer for season 4 are available now.

Cara spends way too much time thinking about subtext, and the puns are always intended. When not watching TV, she can generally be found with her nose in a book.
