The Arrangement RECAP: “Truth”

By  |

In the penultimate episode of the E! Entertainment Network series The Arrangement, the truth finally came out between Kyle and Megan, which in turn caused a change between Terence and Kyle. Meanwhile, DeAnn was not only dealing with Wes on his first day of filming a TV role but also trying to land a new project ideal for Megan.

Here is the tagline for the episode entitled “Truth”:

“Megan and Kyle must confront a dark truth that has emerged from Kyle’s past, which puts both of them at odds with Terence; and DeAnn moves forward with a new project with Megan.”

Everything

Last week’s episode ended with Megan telling Kyle that she knew everything about Julie Woolth and her brother Aaron. And as last night’s episode opened, viewers got to see the aftermath of that conversation with Kyle telling Megan he didn’t remember what happened between him and Aaron [that resulted in Aaron being in a wheelchair] he only remembered the feelings. He has been depicted before as having an out-of-control temper so that shouldn’t be completely surprising; but he didn’t even seem to show too much regret for what he did either. Megan also came clean that she is trying to hurt Terence because of everything he has done. Given what Terence did to Megan, can you really blame her for being on this path?

Life Extension

Terence has really been on a kick lately about this supposed life extension program that he has been developing alongside Isaac, his mad scientist who helped to basically torture Megan while they had her “detained” at the Facility. Terence shared with Kyle that this program will be “truly extraordinary,” but I think it’s going to be his downfall.

I Chose You

Kyle told Megan that he would choose her over IHM and his best friend Terence. That’s really saying something given how indoctrinated Kyle has been for the past 10 years. Just like Megan, though, I have my doubts about the validity of anything he says to anyone whether it is his former rival Aaron, Megan herself or even Terence and/or DeAnn. Kyle is an actor after all, and he has lied to Megan countless time before what is any different this time around?

What Happened

Megan, Shaun and Kyle moved Aaron and his sister Julie to a presumed safe house – out of the reach of Terence and IHM – but when Megan went to the safe house to see the siblings they weren’t there. Naturally she believed that Kyle turned them over to Terence, but – despite all his lies – I have a smidge of doubt that for once he didn’t stand on Terence’s side. But what happened to Aaron and Julie?

Almost Time to Say I Do

It was quite something to watch Kyle tell Terence that he was leaving IHM during his and Megan’s rehearsal dinner; but given the type of man we’ve seen Terence prove himself to be, I knew that his wrath is going to be swift and ugly. And especially given that he told DeAnn they need a more permanent solution where Megan is concerned that left me with chills!

Unexpected “Encounter”

And even more surprising is the fact that Megan drove to Xavier’s home after her fight with Kyle where she told Kyle, “it’s over,” and then she planted that kiss on her former co-star. I guess we should have seen that coming given the fact such a big deal was made out of not only the press thinking that was something between the two but also Kyle firing Xavier from Technicolor Highway because of his suspicions.

Were you expecting Megan to come clean with Kyle? Were you expecting Kyle to pick Megan? Did you expect Kyle to actually tell Terence he was leaving IHM? What happened to Aaron and Julie? Will Megan actually marry Kyle? Please share your thoughts in our comments section below.

The next new episode of The Arrangement will air on E! Entertainment on Sunday, May 13 at 9/8c.
