The Arrangement Recap: “On Location”
Sunday night’s new episode of The Arrangement found Kyle and Megan on location shooting the most important scene of their upcoming movie while the couple was also arguing over the non-compete clause of their secret contract that precludes them from starring in rival franchise movies.
The tagline for the new episode, entitled “On Location,” is as follows:
“While on location for Technicolor Highway, Kyle and Megan clash over possible career choices that could impact their relationship. Meanwhile, Terence invites Shaun to start a new project for IHM.”
Technicolor Highway vs. Box Office Movie Franchise
While Kyle and Megan are continuing to work on their pet project Technicolor Highway, they are both in line for parts in rival big box office movie franchises that could change both of their careers: Agent Jane would put Megan on the map even more so than Technicolor Highway while Kyle’s next movie will have him playing Oliver Kent (a Captain America-super spy like character in that world) that could redeem him from his first flop. Unfortunately, there is a non-compete clause in their secret marriage contract that precludes them from competing in these types of movies. Naturally that sets Megan over the edge…
Kyle vs. Megan
From the very beginning it has been clear that their relationship has been an arrangement – a complicated business relationship that has supposedly turned into love for each other. But is it true love for either of them? Maybe, maybe not. But, if Megan had to do it all over again she would not have signed the contract. And it would seem that Kyle is – once again – lying to his fiancée about the real reason for that non-compete clause. If that is the case, then what else has he lied about? Where there is one lie there are going to be more.
Shaun and Terence
Not that long ago I wrote that I believed Shaun was drinking too much of the IHM Kool-Aid – and that still might be the case – but in a slightly surprising (albeit a predictable one) Shaun actually looked into the missing IHM member – Julie Woolth – who Megan had asked her about previously. Granted, Shaun was to be finding dirt on Roger, one of “The Original 5” behind the creation of IHM in order to get him to comply with Terence and Isaac’s hope to move forward with the former’s DNA/immortality research. This show just gets a little further “out there” with each episode, doesn’t it?
It’s also a guarantee that Terence is going to figure out what Shaun is doing. I don’t think he trusts ANYONE, which will cause him to check what records Shaun was actually researching on the personnel archives. That will sleep doom for Shaun for sure.
Leslie vs. DeAnn vs. Megan
I’ve got to give Leslie, Megan’s former manager, credit: she does not give up on Megan. In fact, she followed them to the on location set for Technicolor Highway to advise her why she was really turned down for that big budget franchise movie; and then she also stepped up to help with filming of Technicolor Highway when over half of the crew came down with food poisoning. We have not seen the last of Leslie no matter what DeAnn or Megan may want.
