Did You Know: TV, Movie and Music Trivia

It’s been a number of months since I put together a “Did You Know” article, and it seemed like a good time to revisit the series, as part of my life-long love of collecting entertainment trivia.

MUSIC TRIVIA

Did You Know…

that Chuck and Marvel Universe actor Zachary Levi and former American Idol alum and Scorpion actress Katharine McPhee recorded a duet together entitled “Terrified?” The song was recorded and released in May of 2010, six months before the popular animated film Tangled was released in theaters, featuring the vocal stylings of Levi alongside Mandy Moore.

This video was directed by Judson Pearce Morgan and featured his then wife actress Kelly Overton (True Blood and Van Helsing).

Did You Know…

that singers Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars have something in common other than being headline performers and for the former three members of the Mickey Mouse Club? They were all impressive singers at a very young age. Aguilera and Timberlake both competed on TV in Star Search and Mars performed with his family throughout Hawaii as a mini-Elvis Presley impersonator.

Did You Know…

that actor Brian Dietzen, who has appeared on the long-running CBS procedural NCIS as Jimmy Palmer for most of the show’s time on the air, actually appeared in the American Idol-made film From Justin to Kelly, playing one of the best friends of Justin.

that Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder and The Help) appeared in the Hugh Jackman and Meg Ryan 2001 box office movie Kate & Leopold?

that How I Met Your Mother and Marvel Universe actress Cobie Smulders appeared in the box office movie Walking Tall as “Exotic Beauty” alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Neal McDonough?
