VIDEO! The Expanse Stars Talk Naomi & Holden’s Relationship in Season Three

At the end of Season two fans of The Expanse were stunned to discover to learn Naomi did not destroy the protomolecule sample, but instead gave it to Belter Fred Johnson. This revelation understandably created a rift between the crew members of the Rocinante and will be a focus in the third season. Stars Dominique Tipper (Naomi Nagata) and Steven Strait ( James Holden) addressed that topic straight away. “At the moment it’s just a case of her trying to patch up relationships, but at the same time she stands by what she’s done. It’s a weird mixture of ‘Sorry! Not sorry.’ quipped Tipper. Actor Steven Strait agrees and admits “At the beginning the family took a huge hit. They have to find their way through these circumstances just to survive.”

The Expanse season three airs April 11, 2018 at 9/8c and picks up immediately following the emotional end of second season finale. The thirteen episode series continues to explore the conflicts between Earth, Mars and The Belt. The three factions vie for power and control in an effort to solve the secret of the newly revealed protomolecule which could jeopardize the survival of the entire solar system.
