At the turn of the century, she was a writer and co-producer on Party of Five and the following year she was a producer and writer on Once and Again.

For the next few TV seasons, she was a writer and consulting producer on American Dreams, eventually being promoted to co-executive producer of the show. In 2005, she was the co-executive producer and writer on Crossing Jordan. She followed that up with working as a writer and co-executive producer on Brothers & Sisters.

In 2007, she was a writer for the short-lived series State of Mind as well as a co-executive producer and writer on the short-lived series Big Shots. Over the next several TV seasons, she was writer and consulting producer on Dirty Sexy Money and Life Unexpected as well as a writer and co-executive producer on Underemployed.

Starting in 2015 she was the writer and executive producer on the MTV drama Finding Carter and as of this year, she is the creator, executive producer and writer on the upcoming Freeform drama Siren, which airs its two-hour debut tomorrow night, Thursday, March 29 at 8/7c.
