A Look Back at WonderCon

By  |

Since 2011, I have been attending WonderCon every year. That is, sadly, until this year. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will no longer be able to attend the annual TV event held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Since WonderCon 2018 just ended this past weekend, I thought it would be fun to take a look back at some of the fun experiences I have had at WonderCon over the past 7 years, starting with the interview opportunity I had in 2011 with actor Henry Cavill – just two months after he was cast as Superman in the 2013 film Man of Steel. Cavill was at WonderCon that year to promote the film Immortals along with his fellow co-stars Luke Evans and Isobel Evans. That was my first year going to WonderCon after about a three year break; and to have the chance to sit at a table with those two handsome men was quite daunting but also exhilarating.

The years that followed found me getting into moderated panels for TV shows like Once Upon a Time, Arrow, Falling Skies, Orphan Black, The 100, The Last Ship, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Sleepy Hollow, The Magicians and Midnight Texas [among many others].

But what was the most fun for me was seeing all of the cosplayers in their full regalia. Each year I took more and more pictures of the costumes because each year they get better and better.

The following are just a sample of some of the great cosplayers I have encountered at WonderCon’s of the past:
