The Arrangement: Tension, Tension and More Tension

By  |

The E! Entertainment Network series The Arrangement aired a new episode last night, focusing on all the tension that is building up among the characters.

Let’s take a look at how those tensions befell the main characters:

MEGAN

She is leading two lives simultaneously: the professional face she puts on when she is with Kyle, Terence and Deann and the personal face that she wears when she speaks to Shaun, who is the only other person who knows what Megan really has planned for IHM.

In addition to leading two lives, she is conducting her own investigation into what makes IHM, and more specifically Terence, tick because she plans on taking the institute down.

For anyone dealing with that much stress, your body can wear down. In Megan’s case, she has been dealing with stomach pain for the past two months. Her pain became so severe that she passed out at a big gala where she was being saluted as one of the Rising Women in Hollywood. Not a good time for that to happen.

KYLE

Since he announced to everyone that he will not star in his latest movie – Technicolor Highway – that will feature Megan in her first BIG role, he has been getting backlash from Deann and the financiers.

They want Kyle to cast Logan Travers, a well-known actor in that world, but Kyle doesn’t like the idea. In fact, he ends up in a pretty big argument with Deann about his not wanting to cast Logan.

His stress seemed to level out when he asked Xavier Hughes, a talented musician-singer, if he has ever acted. It would seem that Kyle has found his replacement for the movie.

SHAUN

Secretly working with Megan to bring down IHM, Shaun is under a heavy amount of stress; and while she is not experiencing physical pain like Megan, she is reigniting a romance with James. In fact, she has been warming up to James in order to get invited to the “facility” – the place where Megan was taken and where she was basically brainwashed into towing the line with IHM (or at least Megan is making the attempt to make everyone else think she was brainwashed).

Shaun got the invite, but – despite the fact she is the attorney for IHM – she had to be blindfolded before they left for the “facility.” Just the look on her face was a mixture of stress about what she was getting herself into and stress about not being able to get the details she and Megan needed to bring them down.

TERENCE AND DEANN

Terence and Deann are the oddest couple! They have an open marriage and yet Deann is upset about him having a red tie on their bedroom door while he had a fling with an IHM intern. To make matters even more odd, she has been having a long-term one weekend a year affair with a woman. What’s good for the goose isn’t good for the gander, huh, Deann?

Terence also got held up at gunpoint when some guy was trying to steal his car; and he nearly lost his life not just his car. That incident would send anyone’s stress level into high gear.

As for Deann, she is not only dealing with her anger at Terence, but also her complete frustration over Kyle’s obstinance where the casting of the movie is concerned.

Do you think Megan’s stomach pain is caused from something other than stress? Do you think Shaun will be able to figure out where the “Facility” is located? Why does Deann stay with Terence? What are your thoughts on the second episode? Please share below.

The next new episode of The Arrangement will air on E! Entertainment on Sunday, March 25 at 9/8c.
