The Top 11 Shows I Can’t Wait to See in February
January is nearly at an end and what a month of TV it has been so far for viewers! February will be no different with plenty of new programs to check out throughout the shortest month out of the year.
Here are my top 11 choices for next month:
A WHOLE LOTTA STREAMING GOING ON
There are three new streaming series for which I am anticipating to watch in February. Two of them debut on the same day at the beginning of the month and the other rounds out the month:
The Amazon Prime drama Absentia, starring Castle star Stana Katic debuts on February 2. Katic plays FBI agent Emily Byrne, who disappeared without a trace while hunting one of Boston’s most notorious serial killers. Six years after being declared dead, she is found in a cabin in the woods, barely alive with no memory of the years she has been missing. She returns home, learning her husband has remarried and her son is being raised by another woman. Worse yet, she soon finds herself implicated in a new series of murders.
The futuristic Netflix series Altered Carbon also debuts on February 2. The series is set more than 300 years in the future where a person’s consciousness can be digitized; human bodies are interchangeable; death is no longer permanent. Takeshi Kovacs is the lone surviving soldier in a group of elite interstellar warriors who were defeated in an uprising against the new world order. His mind was imprisoned – on ice – for centuries until Laurens Bancroft, an impossibly wealthy, long-lived man, offers Kovacs the chance to live again. In exchange, Kovacs has to solve a murder that of Bancroft himself.
On February 28, The Looming Tower will debut on Hulu. The series traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda in the late 1990s and how the rivalry between the FBI and CIA during that time may have inadvertently set the path for the tragedy of 9/11.
VALENTINES ARE ON THE AIR
The following are the Hallmark Channel movies that will air at 9 PM in February:
February 3 – My Secret Valentine, starring Lacey Chabert and Andrew Walker.

February 17 – Wedding March 3: Here Comes the Bride, starring Josie Bissett and Jack Wagner.
February 24 – A Royal Romance, starring Cindy Busby, Andrew Cooper and James Brolin.

Stargate is back!!! The new series Stargate Origins will debut on February 15 on Stargate Command, focusing on young Catherine Langford as she embarks on an unexpected adventure to unlock the mystery of what lies beyond the Stargate in order to save the Earth from darkness.
Lastly, the fifth season premiere of When Calls the Heart will air on the Hallmark Channel on February 18 at 9 PM.
