Rueben's Ramblings
It’s WonderCon Time Again
For the past seven years straight I have been attending WonderCon – the sister convention of the San Diego Comic Con.
Here is a little bit of history on WonderCon: The event started in San Francisco in 1987 and was held there through 2011. It then moved to Anaheim from 2012 to 2015 before it temporarily relocated to Los Angeles last year. This year it (thankfully) returns to the Anaheim Convention Center, taking place from March 31 to April 2 with plenty of fun and entertaining panels to be held.
The TV-related panels for which I am most looking forward to include Prison Break, Time After Time, APB, the debut of Midnight, Texas; The Magicians, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as the debut of the Doctor Who spin-off series Class.
I also plan on checking out some smaller panels about writing, adaptations of books to the small and big screens and a salute to women in the entertainment industry.
As always, I am also looking forward to visiting the Exhibition Hall and seeing all those great costumes worn by the cosplayers as well as catching up with friends, who I only get to see at the conventions.
If you are heading to Anaheim, too, for the convention next weekend, safe travels and have a great time!! If you’re not, I hope you will read my reports that will be posted in early April as well as the pictures that I hope to take of the event.
