The Vampire Diaries: Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path To Hell {Recap}
Here we go! Another nail biter in the books. One thing we learned this episode, don’t mess with Alaric or Caroline when it come to their kids. And Seline’s plan for the girls was something out of a horror story. The craziness ensues and Detoured on some random backwoods path to hell is the perfect title for this episode. Grab your wine and let’s get down to it!
After kidnapping the twins we finally found out Seline’s plan. She wanted to offer the twins up to Cade to be her and psycho Sybil’s replacements so they can finally be free of him. The girls have some serious powers and that plan might have worked, but psycho Sybil had a different plan.
Seline & Co. bring the twins to a seedy motel to channel Kade (and used the twins to do so). When he finally showed up, his presence was felt. He is scary in a charming way and that is the worst kind.
Stefan shows up to save the day, but there was a squad of guys there ready to kick his ass per Sybil’s orders. He fought and ended up killing one of the guys. With fresh blood on his hands, he played right into Sybil’s plan. She wanted to offer up the Salvatore Brothers to Cade as replacements instead of the twins. Seline was shocked by this plan, but Kade agreed to it. Stefan and Damon are servants to Kade and have to deliver evil souls to hell so they won’t end up there themselves. What the hell (pun intended)? That is not how the Salvatore Brothers are going out. They have to come up with a plan.
Stefan broke the news to Caroline and of course it broke her heart. They only have 24 hours together before he loses his freedom, so that summer wedding she wants isn’t looking too good. Just when things seem like they might get better, they get worse. For this to be the final season, it sure is stressful!
We end with Damon going to the bar and Matt and Alaric show up to kill him. They both shoot him with bullets and then Alaric beat him up. He said his twins would never be safe as long as he was alive, and before Damon could tell him about the deal he just made with Kade to save the girls, Alaric stabbed him in the heart and said, “This is for Tyler.” Lord! I swear Damon has brought out worse in everyone this season! We will have to tune in next week for the holiday episode to see how things turn up (spoiler alert Damon is alive because he was jolly in the previews, so at least we know Alaric didn’t kill him).
