The Vampire Diaries: An Eternity of Misery {recap}

By  |

Hello TVD peeps! We have another crazy episode to discuss! Honestly, I just don’t know what to think about this whole siren thing. I am ready for Sybil to pack her bags and get the hell on so we can have all the feels of the last season. And just when we think they’ve got her under control with the ringing fork device, we find out there is another one out there. Sheesh! You know the drill. Get yourself some wine and snacks, and let’s dig in.

Damon, Damon, Damon. *sigh* He’s always getting into something. So he goes looking for a mysterious object that a guy named Pete might have because even though he is free from psycho Sybil’s mind control, he still feels like he has to do what she wants. He gets to a gas station and burns up Pete’s poor co-worker (literally) and then when Pete arrives he tries to get info out of him. Damon didn’t like Pete’s answers so he stabbed Pete then gets shot by Matt (who got there just in time). And for the twist, Matt saw Pete lying there and said, “Dad?” Whoa!!!

When Damon came to, he told Matt that he and Elena are over and he doesn’t care about anything (he also said he didn’t know Pete was his father). Then to twist that knife he told Matt that he killed Tyler and where to find his body in a trunk. Matt didn’t believe him at first because he knew everyone would hate him. Matt filled his Dad in on vampires and the supernatural world in Mystic Falls while they drove to find Tyler. It all became too real when Matt and Pete found Tyler’s body in the trunk. It was heart wrenching watching Matt cry over his BFF. Damn you Damon!

Stefan spends some time getting a history lesson from Sybil because he can’t figure out why Damon is still loyal to her. She tells him the story of Kade who sent out a huge psychic wave as he was burned alive that created its own world (some call it hell). This is where he feeds on the souls of the damned and that is Stefan and Damon’s fate for all the killing they have done. Stefan refuses to believe it because he hasn’t been ripper Stefan for 100 years, but she said that stain will forever be on his soul. She gave Damon a peak at what waited for him there and he chose to serve Cade for eternity instead of being sent there. So all Stefan needs to do to help Damon is kill Cade or the devil as some might say. Easy Peasy.

And as if that wasn’t enough of a shock, we found out that Hot Nanny Seline is actually the 2nd siren.  Didn’t I say to never trust a hot nanny? If she’s not gonna steal your man she might try and kill him. Anyway, Seline convinced Alaric’s intern to lock him up in the vault and try to save the woman in the cell (her psycho sister Sybil). When it all went south, She killed the intern by snapping her neck. Then she had an out of body vision when she died and actually saw Seline feeding on her dead body like a zombie as she was sent to hell or Cade’s lair whatever you want to call it! Seriously! What the hell is going on in Mystic Falls? It’s too much, but I’m riding it out until the end. I have faith that they will give us a great farewell season. Stay tuned folks.

What did you think of this episode? Where was Bonnie and Enzo? Why does the ringing fork device affect the twins? Do you think they are mini-sirens somehow? So many questions! Let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. Tune in next week for an all knew episode.
