Woman of the Week

Each week we pick women who were exceptional on TV. This week our pick is Mandy Moore. She plays Rebecca on This is Us and she is amazing.

My Woman of the Week pick is Mandy Moore as Rebecca on This Is Us. (She was also my pick last week as I found her to be fantastic in her portrayal of young Rebecca’s struggles and vulnerabilities after coming home from the hospital, as well as portraying the Mama Bear in the present and the flashbacks.) Considering I have been following Moore’s career since her pop princess “Candy”, I totally believe her as the kind yet fierce Mama Bear looking to protect her children from the judgement of society and I forget that there was a time where she was blonde bubblegum pop teen star! While I am no mother myself, Moore’s portrayal of Rebecca makes her feel so real and relatable that I feel like I know Rebecca and that she is more than just a character.
