Comic Con
Going to Comic Con 2016
“I’m leaving on a jet plane…”
Oh wait, I’m actually driving down to San Diego this morning, attending Comic Con for my 15th year. This year also marks my 8th year representing NiceGirlsTV as part of the ever-growing press. I will also be reporting for TV Equals and my own site Rueben’s Ramblings – such like I have done for the last few years.
The event will, once again, kick off with preview night, allowing those lucky enough to get access a chance to visit the exhibition hall in advance and/or check out the numerous screenings taking place in Ballroom 20. That is where I will be as I am curious to see the pilots of the new major network shows Riverdale, Frequency and Time After Time.
On the first official day of the convention, if all goes well, I’ll be heading to the following panels: 3rd Annual Behind The Music (featuring TV and film composers), the world premiere of the new USA Network drama Falling Water and panels with cast and the creative minds behind The Last Ship, The Man in the High Castle and Dark Matter.
Then on Friday, I will have the opportunity to interview cast members and the executive producer of The CW series The 100 and then I’ll hopefully be getting into the panels for the new Starz drama American Gods and the long-running BBC America series Orphan Black. If time permits that day, I might also check out panels dedicated to Tarzan and Fangirls.
Saturday is always the busiest day of the convention, and this year won’t be any different. I’ll be spending the whole day in Ballroom 20 – the next to the largest panel room at the convention center – where panels will be held for the following TV shows: Once Upon a Time, Grimm, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash and Arrow. I will also be checking out the panels for the pilots that I will hopefully see on Wednesday: Riverdale, Frequency and Time After Time.
Lastly, on Sunday, I will be venturing into Hall H to check out the panel for Prison Break and 24: Legacy followed by a panel featuring the one and only actor John Barrowman (Torchwood and Arrow) and ending with a panel about what’s hot in young adult fiction.
If you are attending the annual fete this week, have a great time; and please follow us @NiceGirlsTV for all of our coverage of Comic Con 2016.
