The following list provides the dates of the returning cable and major network dramas as well as new cable and major network dramas, made-for-TV movies and mini-series that will air during May:

May 1 – The finale of the PBS mini-series Grantchester will air at 9 PM

May 1 – Season 3 of Penny Dreadful will begin on Showtime at 10 PM

May 2 – The season finale of NCIS: Los Angeles will air at 10 PM on CBS

May 2 – The new FOX drama Houdini & Doyle will debut at 9 PM

Show Synopsis: Inspired by true events, the series follows two real-life friends Harry Houdini (Michael Weston), master magician, escape artist and paranormal debunker; and Arthur Conan Doyle (Stephen Mangan), prolific writer, creator of Sherlock Holmes and paranormal aficionado. They grudgingly join forces with New Scotland Yard to investigate unsolved, inexplicable and possibly supernatural crimes, alongside the first female Constable of the London Metropolitan Police Force, Adelaide Stratton (Rebecca Liddiard).

May 3 – The final season of Person of Interest starts tonight on CBS at 10 PM

May 4 – The season finale of Criminal Minds will air at 9 PM on CBS

May 5 – The 8-part Netflix series Marseille will debut all of its episodes today

Show Synopsis: When two opposing clans are at each other’s throats over their destiny, the whole city suffers. The cast includes French actor Gérard Depardieu.

May 6 – Blue Bloods will air its season finale on CBS at 10 PM

May 8 – The season finales of Madam Secretary and Elementary will air on CBS at 8 and 10 PM respectively with the series finale of The Good Wife airing in the middle at 9 PM

May 8 – A new season of Wallander will air on PBS at 9 PM

NOTE: There will be three episodes airing for a 1 and ½ each week.

May 9 – The season finale of Damien will air at 10 PM on A&E

May 9 – Person of Interest will air a new episode on CBS at 10 PM

NOTE: The show will actually air two weekly episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays at 10 PM.

May 11 – The season finale of Underground will air on WGN America at 10 PM

May 12 – Scandal will air its season finale on ABC at 9 PM

May 13 – The two-hour season finale of Hawaii Five-0 will air on CBS at 9 PM

May 13 – The Vampire Diaries will air its season finale on The CW at 8 PM

May 14 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Tulips in Spring will debut at

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When Rose is forced to leave the big city to help out on the Poinsettia Farm where she grew up, she discovers her heart never left the country. The film stars Fiona Gubelmann and Lucas Bryant.

May 15 – Once Upon a Time will air a two-hour season finale at 7 and 8 PM followed by the season finales of The Family and Quantico at 9 and 10 PM respectively on ABC

May 15 – The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie Karen Kingsbury’s A Time to Dance will air at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: The film tells the story of Abby (Jennie Garth) and John (Dan Payne) Reynolds, a married couple who have been together since their days as high school sweethearts – when John was a football hero and Abby dreamed of becoming a writer. Now in their forties, Abby is a restaurant critic for a local newspaper and John is a football coach at their son’s high school. Though their seemingly perfect marriage is the envy of their peers, the truth is that they have fallen out of love, and plan to announce their impending divorce during their daughter Nicole’s upcoming college break. But John and Abby’s plan takes a turn when an elated Nicole surprises them with an announcement that she has gotten engaged. Not wanting to put a damper on Nicole’s cherished event, John and Abby agree to wait until after her wedding to tell her about their divorce. With the clock ticking and John and Abby helping Nicole prepare for her wedding day, they may have one last chance to again find their love. Corbin Bernsen also stars as Abby’s father.

May 15 – The new UP Channel movie The Game of Love will debut at 7 PM

MOVIE SYNPOSIS: Jake Cornell (Lochlyn Munro), third-generation owner of the Seattle Cougars basketball team, has devoted his entire life to his work, though he is still very attracted to his charming, smart, and unavailable ex-wife Frankie (Heather Locklear). Frankie has a weakness though – an undeniable attraction and connection to the infuriating man she’s divorced, not once, but twice. Now that they are no longer together, Jake and Frankie, along with their two adult children Barton (Tom Stevens) and Alexandria (Emily Tennant), disagree on the future of the team. Jake’s about to lose the one thing he loves the most – the Seattle Cougars – to the other love of his life, Frankie. Sparks fly as Frankie takes over the front office. Will the team that drove them apart actually end up being the thing that brings them together for good?

May 17 – Chicago Med and Chicago Fire will both air their season finales on NBC at 9 and 10 PM

May 18 – The final season of Royal Pains will get underway on the USA Network at 10 PM

May 18 – Empire will air its season finale on FOX at 9 PM

May 19 – The Blacklist will air its season finale on NBC at 9 PM

May 19 – The season finales of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and The 100 will air on The CW at 8 and 9 PM respectively

May 19 – Grey’s Anatomy will air on ABC at 8 PM while the two-hour season finale of The Catch will follow at 9 PM

May 20 – The season finale of Grimm will air on NBC at 9 PM

May 20 – The Originals will air its season finale on The CW at 9 PM

May 20 – The series finale of Banshee will air at 10 PM on Cinemax

May 21 – The new Hallmark Channel movie Date With Love will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: When a small-town boy’s video “promposal” to a star goes viral, it scores him a date to prom with his celebrity crush. But when the star begins to fall for the boy’s teacher, things get complicated. The film stars Shenae Grimes, Andrew Walker and Bailee Madison.

May 21 – The HBO film All The Way will debut at 8 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Lyndon B. Johnson (Bryan Cranston) becomes the President of the United States in the chaotic aftermath of JFK’s assassination and spends his first year in office to quickly pass the Civil Rights Act. Anthony Mackie will star as Martin Luther King, Jr., Bradley Whitford as Hubert Humphrey, Melissa Leo as Lady Bird Johnson and Stephen Root as J. Edgar Hoover. The cast also includes Joe Morton and Frank Langella.

May 22 – Fear the Walking Dead will air its spring finale on AMC at 9 PM followed by the debut of the new drama Preacher at 10 PM

Show Synopsis: Based on Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s popular ’90’s comic book franchise of the same name, this 10-episode series is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. The cast includes Ruth Negga (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Lucy Griffiths (Robin Hood) and Jackie Earle Haley.

May 22 – The season finale of Call the Midwife will air on PBS at 8 PM followed at 10:30 by the series finale of Mr. Selfridge

May 23 – Gotham will air its season finale on FOX at 8 PM

May 23 – The season finale of Blindspot will air at 10 PM on NBC

May 24 – The season finale of the AMC mini-series The Night Manager will air at 10 PM

May 24 – Stitchers will air its season finale on FreeForm at 10 PM

May 24 – The season finale of The Flash will air at 8 PM on The CW

May 25 – The season premiere of Wayward Pines will air on FOX at 9 PM

May 25 – Nashville will air its season finale on ABC at 10 PM

May 25 – The season finales of Arrow and Supernatural will air at 8 and 9 PM respectively on The CW

May 25 – Rosewood will air its season finale on FOX at 8 PM

May 25 – The season finales of Heartbeat, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Chicago P.D. will air on NBC at 8, 9 and 10 PM respectively

May 25 – The final episode of the Hulu online series The Path will air today

May 25 – Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders will air its two-hour season finale on CBS at 9 PM

May 27 – Bloodline will debut its second season on Netflix today

May 30 – The original Starz movie The Dresser will debut at 9 PM

MOVIE SYNOPSIS: Sir Ian McKellen and Anthony Hopkins will star together in the story of one fateful night, backstage in a small regional theatre during World War II as a troupe of touring actors stages a production of Shakespeare’s King Lear. The cast includes Emily Watson.

May 30 – The season premiere of Scream will air on MTV at 10 PM

May 30 – The new season of Mistresses will air on ABC at 10 PM

May 30 – A new adaptation of the legendary book Roots will debut simultaneously on A&E, Lifetime and the History Channel at 9 PM

Mini-Series Synopsis: The four-night, eight-hour event series recounts the journey of one family and their will to survive and ultimately carry on their legacy despite hardship. The cast includes Anika Noni Rose, Anna Paquin, Derek Luke, Forest Whitaker, James Purefoy, Jonathan Rhys Myers, Lane Garrison, Matthew Goode, Mekhi Phifer, Erica Tazel, Emayatzy Corinealdi and introducing Malachi Kirby.
