12 Monkeys: 5 Things We Can’t Get Enough Of

I’ll admit when Syfy said they were going to make a TV show based on the movie 12 Monkeys I was skeptical. Turns out I could not have been more wrong. The show was brilliant. From the story to the special effects it was the perfect show.

Since Season 2 airs Monday we thought we would give you the following five things we love about this show.

Strong Females: Let’s face it, that’s kind of our thing here at NiceGirls and very few shows do it as well as 12 Monkeys. Reluctant heroes, crazy smart women and just plain crazy women bring all of their awesome power front and center.

Bromance: On the other end of the spectrum we have Cole and Ramse. They have been through it all and have somehow managed to stay friends – sometimes less friendly than others. They don’t always like each other and it’s that struggle that makes their friendship such a real and interesting story line to watch unfold.

Location Location Location: This show did not hold back in Season 1. They traveled everywhere and whether the scenes were shot on a back lot or actually in the foreign destinations I will never know because they were filmed so beautifully. I felt like I was with them the whole time.

Dialog: There are some great writers working on this show as is evident by the ramblings of Jennifer to the stalwart command of Jones. Each character has such a unique voice all while blending so well together.

Love: Last but not least. The whole show is centered around the things you would do for the ones you love. There is action and tragedy and romance but it all boils down to sacrifice for the love of family and friends and that is my favorite type of show.
