What to Expect on TV in April
With spring less than two weeks away (how is it almost April already?!), it seemed like a good time to look ahead (just a little) to the TV shows that will be returning for new seasons as well as some new made-for-TV movies that will be fun to watch.
Here is what I am looking forward to seeing in April:
RETURNING DRAMAS:
The Blacklist will return with new episodes on NBC on April 7 at 9 PM.
On April 9, the second season of Outlander will premiere on Starz at 9 PM.
The fourth season of Orphan Black will premiere on BBC America on April 14 at 10 PM.
On April 17, the second season of Good Witch will air on the Hallmark Channel at 9 PM.
The second season of 12 Monkeys will premiere on April 18 at 9 PM on Syfy.
On April 24, Game of Thrones will premiere on HBO at 9 PM.
Reign will return with new episodes on The CW on April 25 at 8 PM and that same night, the new season of Turn: Washington’s Spies will premiere on AMC at 10 PM
MADE-FOR-TV MOVIES AND MINI-SERIES:
The Hallmark Channel movie The Manny will debut on April 2 at 9 PM, starring Nicollette Sheridan (Desperate Housewives) and Dan Payne (Disney’s Descendants).
On April 9, the original Hallmark Channel movie Hearts of Spring will debut at 9 PM, starring Lisa Whelchel (Facts of Life) and Michael Shanks (Stargate SG1).
The Hallmark Channel movie Love By Chance will debut on April 16 at 9 PM, starring Beau Garrett (Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives) and Ben Ayres (Saving Hope).
On April 17, the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie Sandra Brown’s White Hot will debut at 9 PM, starring Shenae Grimes-Beech (90210 and Scream 4), John Schneider (Smallville and Dukes of Hazzard) and Sean Faris (The Lost Valentine and Pretty Little Liars),
And, the new AMC 6-part mini-series The Night Manager will debut on April 19 at 10 PM, starring Tom Hiddleston (Thor and Avengers franchise), Olivia Colman (Broadchurch), Hugh Laurie (House ), Elizabeth Debicki (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), Tom Hollander (Pride & Prejudice), David Harewood (Homeland and Supergirl), Tobias Menzies (Outlander and Game of Thrones) and Russell Tovey (Being Human).
