LUCIFER Roundtable 1.05 ‘Sweet Kicks’ New Partners & Fluid Exchanges

Lucifer is like a dog with a bone when it comes to Chloe and his newfound “mortality” problem only serves to increase his desire. After shmoozing with the Captain, he easily gets himself inserted into Chloe’s newest case. Meanwhile Mazikeen and Amenadiel form an uneasy alliance. Each wants what’s “best for Lucifer,” however, their motivations are suspicious at best.

An Angel and Demon step into a Starbucks! What do you think about that interaction. Are they both wanting “what’s best for Lucifer?”

Stacey:Loved this scene. I definitely think they both want what’s best for themselves. My theory is that if Lucifer doesn’t return to hell- Amenadiel is the next in line to take over and he definitely doesn’t want it.

Lisa: I think they both want what will support their own agendas for Lucifer. I know Maze cares for him but she wants it to be her way. It’ll be interesting to see what will happen between them. Also, am I the only one who wants to see Maze & Chocolate Angel hook up? Lol

Mynda: I agree with Stacey, Amenadiel may be forced to take Lucifer’s place and Maze just wants to return to her comfort zone!

Well, well.. Dr. Linda seems to be getting all the breaks and the best of both worlds! Angels and Devil’s. Oh My! . Will Amenadiel hurt Linda despite her extensive krav maga training?

Stacey: Wait- I freaking love this new development with Amenadiel. It makes me so happy that he’s now inserting himself in a whole new way. And I think Dr. Linda can handle herself.

Lisa: I’m not too worried about Dr. Linda. I think she can take care of herself. I think he might try to play with her or scare her but not hurt her.

Mynda: I want to be Dr. Linda when I grow up!

What do you think about tonight’s revelations regarding Maze as “Hell’s favorite torturer” and their past possibly intimate relationship?

Stacey: I had suspicious about this. Glad it’s finally out in the open. Brings a new level to her hatred of Decker.

Lisa: I always suspected that they had an intimate relationship. It explains some of her jealousy too. I bet they were hot together (well everyone is probably hot in hell but you get what I mean).

Mynda: I was very excited when more of their backstory is revealed. It just leaves us all wanting more. I am hoping they include a flash-back sequence of Maze removing Lucifer’s wings. That would be riveting!

MVP of the night?

Stacey: Ooooo. I’m gonna go with Maze.

Lisa: Why Lucifer. of course.

Mynda: I am going to go with the Lucifer Writers. Every week the dialogue is spot on! Clever, fast paced, hilarious and full of just the right mix of naughty blended with nice. Favorite line or scene?

Stacey: Toss up between Lucifer punching out the detective at the bar for Decker and the scene in the community center where she mocks him about people taking responsibility for their own bad behavior.

Lisa: There are always great lines on this show but I loved the scene in the elevator when she slapped him and it said “That really hurt….Do it again!” Luci cracks me up.

Mynda: I love it when Lucifer whines. Luci riding the pony of “my poor leg” was wonderful. He’s never gonna let that go!
