What to Expect on TV in November

By  |

Can you believe that in a little over a month we will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in the United States? Doesn’t it seem like it was just summer? The year has gone by so quickly, but that hasn’t stopped the major and cable networks from giving us plenty of programming options.

First let’s take a look at all of the HOLIDAY MOVIES that will air during the month:

The Hallmark Channel movie Tis the Season for Love will debut on November 1 at 8 PM, starring Sarah Lancaster (Chuck) and Brendan Penny (Motive).

The Hallmark Channel movie Ice Sculpture Christmas will debut on November 7 at 8 PM, featuring Rachel Boston (Witches of East End), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives) and David Alpay (The Vampire Diaries).

The Hallmark Channel movie Charming Christmas will debut on November 8 at 8 PM, starring Julie Benz (Defiance) and David Sutcliffe (Cracked and Proof).

The Hallmark Channel movie I’m Not Ready for Christmas will debut on November 14 at 8 PM, featuring Alicia Witt (Justified), George Stults (7th Heaven) and Brigid Brannagh (Army Wives).

The Hallmark Channel movie Christmas Incorporated will debut on November 15 at 8 PM, starring Shenae Grimes-Beech (90210) and Steve Lund (Bitten).

The Hallmark Channel movie Northpole 2: Open for Christmas will debut on November 21 at 8 PM, featuring Lori Loughlin (When Calls the Heart), Bailey Madison (Good Witch and Once Upon a Time) and Dermot Mulroney (Crisis)

The TV One movie Royal Family Thanksgiving will also debut on November 21 at 8 PM, starring soap star Debbi Morgan, Richard Lawson (All My Children), Tichina Arnold (Survivor’s Remorse), Vivica A. Fox (Independence Day) and Romeo Miller (Honey and Madea’s Witness Protection).

The Hallmark Channel movie Merry Matrimony will debut on November 22 at 8 PM, featuring Jessica Lowndes (90210) and Christopher Russell (Midnight Masquerade).

The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries original movie Murder She Baked: A Plum Pudding Mystery will debut on November 22 at 9 PM with Allison Sweeney reprising her lead role and starring Cameron Mathison (All My Children) and Barbara Niven (Cedar Cove).

The Hallmark Channel movie Once Upon a Holiday will debut on November 25 at 8 PM, featuring Brianna Evigan (Step Up franchise) and Paul Campbell (Battlestar Galactica).

The Hallmark Channel movie A Christmas Detour will debut on November 28 at 8 PM, featuring Candace Cameron Bure (the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries) and Paul Greene (Bitten).

The Hallmark Channel movie Angel of Christmas will debut on November 29 at 8 PM, starring Jennifer Finnigan (Tyrant) and Jonathan Scarfe (Ties That Bind).

The Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie The Christmas Note will also debut on November 29 at 9 PM, featuring Jamie-Lynn Sigler (The Sopranos) and Leah Gibson (The Returned).

Then there are the following CABLE SHOWS that will either be back for the rest of their current season or air their season premieres during the month:

The Librarians will be back for the start of its second season on TNT on November 1 at 8 PM.

Major Crimes will be back for the rest of its current season on TNT on November 2 at 9 PM followed by the second season premiere of Legends at 10 PM.

The Royals will be back for its second season on E! on November 15 at 10 PM.

There is only one NEW DRAMA coming in November that I’m curious to watch – that is Agent X, which will air a two-hour series debut on TNT on November 8 at 9 PM

The series focuses on a top secret agent, Agent X (Jeff Hephner from Boss and Chicago Fire), who is trained and ready to serve, deployed only at the careful discretion of the Vice President (film star Sharon Stone).

Here are a couple ONLINE SERIES that should be very interesting to watch:

The Amazon series The Man in the High Castle will debut on November 20. The series depicts an alternate history of the world in which the Axis powers won World War II with the United States being divided into three parts: the Japanese Pacific States that encompasses a portion of the West Coast, the Greater Nazi Reich (aka Great Nazi Reich) that encompasses nearly two-thirds of the country and the Rocky Mountain States (aka the Neutral Zone) that encompasses a very small portion of the country in the middle.

That same day, Netflix will debut the 13 episodes of Marvel’s Jessica Jones, a suspenseful, edgy look into the life of Jessica Jones, one of the most popular new Marvel characters of the last decade, as she faces demons from within and without.

Lastly, the one FALL FINALE that fans should be aware of is Castle on November 23 at 10 PM on ABC. Fans should know the show will take an extended break, returning in February.
